Don't even bother drinking your own urine. Your body will just reabsorb any moisture it can directly from your bladder. Saves you the bad taste in your mouth. 😠Unless your just dying to drink your own pee......see what I did there.......anybody? (sigh)

Sooo much more room in those stalls though. Is it just me or does it seem as if they place the toilet paper holders in the absolute worst place they can to give you the least amount of space possible? I have to literally rest my right arm on top of it to fit on the toilet if I use the regular stalls. Oh and I won't even try to describe the dance I have to do to finish up when I'm done! And don't blame me for Targets stupid idea of only putting changing tables in the family bathroom. Walmart has em in both! 😁

I only use the family bathroom because not many people know about it so it's usually much cleaner. It's unisex but you gotta make sure you lock the door!

Just thought I'd share this with you... My dumb self just left my IPhone in the Walmart family bathroom. I got all the way to sporting goods before I figured it out and by the time I ran back it was gone. (Grrr...) Thank goodness for Find My Iphone because I was able to borrow a friends phone and determine it was still in the store. So I proceed to send the following message, "If you've found this phone please return it to the front of the store. Thanks! If you're thinking of stealing it...I am tracking you at this very moment." So I proceed to walk the isles pinging my phone to see if I can hear the alert and I spy a lady, very swiftly, pushing her cart towards the front of the store while practically holding my phone out in front of her! Now I really don't think she was stealing it because she was almost to customer service, but the look on her face kinda made me feel bad but chuckle at the same time. Nervous glances around the store and possibly even a little sheen of sweat were observed. I asked her if she found that in the bathroom and tried my best to thank her in my most gracious of manners and let her know it was totally my fault. After all, I'm the doofus who left his cell phone in the bathroom! Anyway, lady, if you ever but probably never see this, "Sorry to scare you and thanks for being honest!"

In the past two nights I have noticed I am actually dreaming less with the CPAP machine. Before this I was constantly having waking dreams or really light sleep where I could even hear myself snoring but knew I wasn't totally awake. The doctor told me I was having 80 events an hour where I would do the whole stop breathing, gasp, waking, cycle. I can tell you this, my wife, dog , and baby, are sure happier now!

Just had my first nights sleep with my new machine and wow what a difference! Took a little bit to get used to mask but all in all I think I'll be getting some much better rest from here on out. Found out from my insurance provider that I can try a new mask once every 30 days to see if I like it and even get to keep it! They will also replace the mask every 6 months if it breaks and I get all new stuff like hoses and cushions every three months if I need them. This sucker even has a cellular modem on it that reports my sleep results to the doc's office everyday if they need to make adjustments. Only negative was that my dog almost attacked me when I stepped out of the bathroom with my mask on. Had to do a little convincing but other than that all is well!

Well there's always shock therapy!

I went in at 8pm, got hooked up around 9:30, laid down at 10:30, couldn't get to sleep so they gave me half of a Lunesta pill, fell asleep, got woken up around 3am, got hooked up to the machine, and got woken up at 7 with a really really nasty taste in my mouth from the pill. Was told I got around 3 good hours of deep sleep after I put on the mask but still felt better off of that measly 3 hours of deep sleep than I ever felt off of 8-10 hours of restless, light sleep.

Wow! Thanks for all the great information! It's good to know that I have a group of folks to come to that have long term experience with this stuff. Now that I read the comments about the CPAP vs. BPAP i'm wondering what machine I was on during my study since I could notice a difference in pressure during exhalation vs. inhalation. As to keeping the masks that I tried that night I only slept with the nasal pillars but was given the whole nasal mask as a demonstration of what to expect. I wonder if they will include that one as well? Oh well, I got the call from the supplier yesterday afternoon so I am going tomorrow to get my stuff! Woot!

So I just got the results of my sleep study back and I have severe sleep apnea. They are rushing my equipment order through insurance and I should have a machine sometime next week. Anyone on here have to use a machine and if so, any tips you can give me on which type of machine to request? I got to try the mask that just has the nostril tubes the night of my study but am wondering if the whole nose cover or even the whole face cover would feel better. I just didn't know if they would let you pick more than one or if you're stuck with what they order for you. Thanks!
