  1. I would think it's all about cash flow. If you only take cash as payment you have immediate access to those funds to reinvest in inventory and expenses. If you take credit cards, the money doesn't do straight into your bank account. You have to wait for the merchant services company to process your transactions, deduct their fee, and then deposit the left over funds into your account. All this can take as many as five days depending on which provder you use. During this time you're without access to the funds. Cash flow is very important to a business. Especially if something important comes up like umm....payroll.
  2. I don't care who you are but if you reach for a cop's weapon you show an intent to kill and should be put down and put down hard. In my opinion this guy was lucky to make it out of there with just a beating. So what if there seemed to be a couple extra whacks after he was down. The officers are clearly aiming for the appropriate spots like thighs and shoulders and I honestly applaud them for showing the amount of restraint they did considering the supsect's amount of resistance and previous grab for the weapon.
  3. Might've actually been me. I have the same thoughts whenever I see it!
  4. Check out www.hiddenpassageway.com The little kid in me wants a whole house built by them. You can get the Do-it-yourself bookcase kit for about $300.
  5. Anyone in the Knoxville/Oak Ridge area own a Ruger LCP that could give me ideas on recoil or shootability for my wife? She's not frail but isn't too fond of my Kahr PM9's recoil so is thinking about an LCP instead. I know there are bigger guns or smaller calibers out there but she specifically needs a small, light pistol that can be invisible when concealed. I can't find one to rent so I'm relying on ya'lls input! -Edit - Sorry, don't know why I put Knox/Oak Ridge area in this poting. It's not as if LCP owners outside the area can't help either!
  6. My grip screws also start loosening every time I shoot mine. I'll probably get a different set here soon or try some teflon tape. I haven't had a problem with the mag ejection or the grip safety though and the fit is very tight. The stock front sight for the SR1911 is plastic however and sheared off within my first 200 rounds. Ruger did mail me a replacement free of charge and I haven't had any problems with it through the next 300 rounds since then. I do agree that it gets dirty quick! Overall I think it's still a great pistol for the price.
  7. I think Chuck Norris has to use one to contain his awesomeness lest we all be instantly incinerated in his presence.
  8. While I don't agree with the charges either, I do have to wonder what I would have done if I was being followed by a dark truck at night, then all of a sudden a guy starts following me on foot. Like stated above, hindsight is 20/20, but I think this all could have been avoided or had a different outcome if the words, "Neighborhood watch, identify yourself!" had been spoken in the first place. Sad story all around.
  9. The piggy bank line was my favorite.
  10. Yeah and then you'd have to explain to a jury why you didn't use more non-lethal rounds before you resorted to the lethal ones. What a gimmick. Use shotshells in a revolver if you want to hunt birds with a pistol. These things look cool on the paper but seem to be useless in real life.
  11. So what you're really saying is that it isn't a real firearm in the first place right?
  12. As to this being the end of the series they're already talking about season 3. I just can't wait until they find the prison. May not be until season 3 but it's gonna be great!
  13. Funny you should mention aliens. You should check out the most recent editions fo the comics. You'll see what I'm talkin about.
  14. What the hey. It's a good cause and I'd have fun just holding it so I'm in!
  15. I'm just wondering how the zombie was able to sneak up on him anyway? How did it double back from the cow? And I so thought Carl was gonna pop that guy in the shed! Those of you familiar with the comic will know what I'm talkin about.
  16. True. The part that got me however was when she called the lady's son and tried to convince him to lie about her status.
  17. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/slave_maid_in_upstate_manse_KkYwBvwtyYNhOAwGLnq3eO?utm_medium=rss&utm_content=Local This is why I believe race has nothing to do with slavery. This woman was basically enslaved by her "employer" who was also from her home country. I know this is a touchy subject but it just goes to prove that the root of evil is basically human kind's selfishness and greed.
