1.
A magnet?
But wouldn't it stick no matter what since the barrel insert is already steel?
 2.
Looks good from my end. I've heard the threads are aluminum so that would be my only concern but that's the whole lite lineup and not a fault of the gold model. I say if its a shooter and your happy then ya done good.
Yeah I've heard some say aluminum and some say steel. Not sure how to tell.
 3.
See, I told you I'd be nice. I can't wait to shoot it. We need to get together and set up some steel on the AP range.
Yep definitely.
 4.
Looks good. It's not that tacky gold like the pulls on your cabinets.
Oooh burn! Touché my friend touché
 5. So against the advice of some friends here on TGO I am fessing up to owning a GOLD Ruger Lite! Yes I said it GOLD! I tried to find the TALO edition but found a deal too good to pass up. I am including pics of the GOLDness and the sparrow which I shall attach once I get my paperwork back. So I place myself at your mercy fellow TGO'ers. To GOLD or not to GOLD? That is the question! Bring on the comments!
 6. You mean to tell me the crime was prevented by someone acting responsibly and not by tighter gun laws?!?, Whaaaaaa?! (Head explodes)
 7.
Thanks alot,I check out some infor on the sparrow. They were testing it with a P-22 and a 10-22 .I have both so this could be the way to go , said that it was the most easest one on the market to clean. The msrp was $499 ,is that the prices at the gun stores, also so that you could shot 22 mag, have one but not threaded Again Thanks How long have you been waiting if you don't mine
I got mine for $430 at my local gun store and yes I also chose it because it's so easy to clean. I'm sure you could get your .22 mag threaded pretty easily by a gunsmith. I'm getting my Savage BTVS threaded for around $90. My check was cashed two days after mailing it on Oct. 31st but I'm gonna wait about a month to call and check to see if its pending.
 8.
May have been a feral searching for food. While I agree with the humans are a-holes comment, we are not necessarily the perpetrators in this particular instance. I am glad that everything has worked out.
Yeah. I imagine that this pooch was searching for food and just got stuck on its own. I'm glad someone happened by though and was able to rescue it. I wonder if the other dog had to be distracted or contained so they could help.
 9.
Those hyperactive zombies freak me out but piling up that wall is kinda cool. They're like the bugs in Starship Troopers.
And that movie was such a classic
 10.
Yeah in the book they were walkers, from what I remember. This is gonna sound weird when talking about a zombie movie, but it will be great if its not to over the top
Yeah. I liked the book because of the atmosphere that each of the stories presented. Creepy and morbid. It wasn't just a bunch of foaming screaming zombies. It communicated the overall sense of dread and imminent doom of a zombie apocalypse.
 11.
That looks like it will be pretty good. IF the CGI isn't too over the top on the Zombies.
My thoughts exactly. I saw the CGI and it made me a little nervous. Plus, weren't the zombies in the book slower than that?
 12.
I know that this has been ask b-4 , but I have wanted to get a suppressor for a very long time. If I had started the paper work then I know that I would have it by now. My question is what is the best suppressor for a auto 22 and can I use it on a 556 What is the avg wait time to get your stamp back I would like to get off as cheep as I can ,but I don't want to but junk and have to wait that long again I read that the stamp is $200 but what is the tranfer fee Thanks
I'm currently waiting on a Silencerco Sparrow for my .22's and it is full auto rated since it's stainless steel. However, it cannot be used on a 5.56. I've heard of people using 5.56 rated cans on .22s but I think they are a little bulky for most .22s. Don't go cheap. A good quailty suppressor will be well worth the investment. The transfer fee only comes into play when you buy it somewhere else other than the gun store you're picking it up at and can vary from place to place. Average wait time I think is around 6-8 months.
 13. Israel doesn't mess around. Never did and never will go down without a fight.
 14. Officer - Why'd you shoot the old guy? Me - He pointed a gun at me. Officer - It looks like he only shot your dog. Me - Nope he pointed the gun at me and my dog tried to defend my life. Officer - So you didn't shoot him in retalition to shooting your dog? Me - Nope. Shot him in defense of my life. Officer - You sure? Me - Yep.
 15. Holy cow! Makes my teeth itch just looking at it! Unfortunately I just started the Paleo Diet last week so I'm in the middle of the low carb flu. So no more sugar or breads for me.
 16.
Thanks for the information. I'm going to check with some people I know to see if they are members, so I can go take a tour. One more question and I should be through asking. The secretary told me in an email that they didn't need assholes like me in their club. I didn't respond as I felt that it wouldn't do any good to argue with him, but my question is, would it effect me any as far as getting a membership if I decided to, especially since what he said was completely unwarranted? If I was asked about it when I applied for membership, I could show the email and I am sure that anyone that read it would agree that what he said wasn't warranted. And that is actually the whole reason I was asking if it was an actual position or just some random guy to answer emails is because I was wanting to know if he had any control over people getting accepted for membership.
Wow. Don't honestly know what to tell you about that. I've never had a bad experience with the staff but then again I've never had to really email or talk to anyone. I don't see how it would affect your membership though since it's not a single person's descision on who joins and who doesn't. I've been a member for over three years now and never had a bad experience. But I'm mostly a loner when I'm there so I've never really had to interact with the staff. I'm sure once you join you'll never have to deal with him again though so I wouldn't let it keep you from enjoying the benefits of a fantastic facility.
 17.
Yeah, everybody be careful! If you want me to send you a list of other scams, just e-mail me your name, social security number, birthdate and first pets name. Thanks
I will send you that information just as soon as we clear up the estate fees of your long lost uncle in Nigeria. He did left you lot of money we promis sir!
 18. I'm sure most of us have seen these before but just wanted to put the word out that we're starting to see lots more scams this year. The main one being where someone selling something on Craigslist and then getting a check in the mail for more than the asking price. The buyer then says that his guys will come pick up the merchandise and for the seller to just pay them out of the extra cash. Then the check bounces and the seller is left holding the negative balance without their merchandise. Another variant of this scam is the buyer saying he made a mistake and asks for you to send them the extra money back in either a wire transfer, money order, or certified check. In every instance the check comes back bad and you are left holding the bag. Please use caution!
 19. Most barrels can be threaded but a gunsmith will be able to give you a definite on that. As to the size of the suppressor, most .22 cans are around 1 inch in diameter I think so it would be close. I know the sparrow Im getting would be exactly flush with my barrel if it weren't for the cap on the end being rounded.
 20. Last time I felt a tremor like that I had too much Mexican food!
 21. Anyone else feel a bump this morning? Just found out it was from a 4.3 earthquake in Eastern Kentucky. Felt like someone shook my chair from behind. People are saying it could be felt from Ohio to Georgia.
 22.
I fail to see the excitement about these when the Glock 36 has been around for YEARS, and holds one more round. I'm glad you love it; I just don't understand the "WOW!!!! This has NEVER been done before!!!" type vibe...
I've never said it hasn't been done before but I have shot both and I prefer the XDs but it's all personal preference. Just never been a fan of the Glock's grip angle or feel in my hand. Glocks just feel "clunky" compared to the XDs. And I can honestly say that everyone I've let shoot or hold my Xds has said "Wow! This thing is awesome!" But I also wouldn't rain on a new Glock owners parade if he came on here bragging about his new purchase either. To each their own.
 23.
Why? The Sparrow is the easiest suppressor to take apart. It would be more difficult to use the dip than to just media blast the monocore clean. Dolomite
I'd definitely be open to cleaner options but I'm just not that familiar with blasters. How much do they run and what else can they be used for?
 24. Congrats! I'm sure you'll love it.
 25. Face it Sour. Us boys are always lookin for an excuse to pee anywhere other than a toilet so it's best to just smile and nod. Off the deck, behind the shed, behind a tree, on your friend's foot at the next urinal, in an external catheter, etc.....ya gotta do whatcha gotta do!
