http://compare.ebay.com/like/230727759356?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar $25 on ebay. That or a bomb suit. But that might do the opposite of gaining you peace and quiet.

I hear ya. I've heard some folks reccomend #4 buckshot as a good balance between over penetration and incapacitation. I just personally wouldn't wanna risk them getting off any lucky shots. However, I will say, I've never met anyone who willing to volunteer to test out the effects of birdshot vs. buckshot so I guess anything's better than nothin! :)

I've found that if you put on a bright yellow bio-hazard suit while walking around nobody bothers you. JK but I'd pay money to see someone try. You'd at least have the place to yourself! :)

Adresses & Phone #'s of NY Calumnists that Published CCW Adresses

From the looks of things in NY it may come to that. -
Your box sends a signal back the way you recieve signal no matter what they say about broadcasting. Cable works the same way. As to how OTA works, I think that's where the math comes in.

That'd be priceless. And knowing how much junk mail they send you he'd be getting mail from them for years! -

Available online and dropped in your lap are two different things. Most people don't even know that this kind of stuff is public records. Now they have a complete list provided to them. Many criminals who wouldn't have even thought of something like this now have a new temptation set before them. Hopefully none of them act on it but that's never a guarantee. Plus, just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. I also imagine that the cowards who would post info like this would cower in fear if a couple hundred protestors made their lives a living heck for a couple months. It's the least they deserve for putting people's well-being in danger. -
The bear needs a good poke every now and then to keep it on it's toes. However, while it's not a good idea to poke it by yourself, the 2nd ammendment guarantees that, if neccessary, there will always be others to help you poke it and that your stick will always have a point to it. You poke a bear enough times with a sharp enough stick and you have a new rug. Granted, a rug with a lot of holes, but you know what I mean. :)
i buy federal multi-purpose load from walmart for practice. at the house that is the load in the chamber. should that not stop the threat the next rounds are winchester oobuck 9 pellet loads. i keep winchester pdx1 defender in the side saddle should the situation go south
I keep the Pdx1 rounds first...and second... and third etc. etc. etc. If I am to the point of shooting someone I don't intend to just wound and risk them getting a parting shot off. This is not aimed at you personally but I've never understood the whole take one shot and assess the situation mentality that many people have. If youre in my house I don't stop shooting until youre either on the floor or out of my range of fire.

Nice boomstick. If you find the recoil too much try adding a limb saver recoil reducer. Those things work wonders!
I'm going to spoil the fun, just in case Brian Haas or others aren't read in. The Duffel Blog is a spoof website, like The Onion. Most of the stuff on it is not true, even if it ought to be. However, Regarding the Tactical Beard: It is true that in some of the more basic cultures, a full beard and/or silver hair are a sign of manliness and/or maturity and garner respect in the culture. In Islamic culture, especially for some of the sects of Islam, a full and uncut beard is an indication of devoutness. When you are dealing with other cultures, it's not your point of view, it's their point of view that is most often operative.
Plus, just like bow ties, beards are cool.

Do you allow your kids to arm themselves when home alone?
gnmwilliams replied to Links2k's topic in General Chat
I had access to a 20 gauge and a .22 rifle after I passed the hunter safety course at 10. Was told to never tell friends we had them and If I was caught having touched them for anything other than a life or death situation I'd never get to shoot them again. However, I will say that every child is different. Something else we had in place, and something I plan to do here eventually, as a first line of defense was reinforced security doors for both entrances to the house. The previous owner of the house had apparently replaced everything with solid core doors and metal frames with dead bolts. I was only six when we bought it but I still remember the realtor demoing these features with good solid kicks to the doors. Just walked right up and bam! They didn't even flex. Of course this was a good selling point since it was in Memphis. :) -

Nra press -- not bad, one epic fail
gnmwilliams replied to Jonnin's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
While I would agree that the producers and studios need to have a come to Jesus meeting about the audience they are aiming for, the responsibility for monitoring this content ultimately falls on the parents. One year just before Easter I was working at a local computer store and had a little old grandmother hand me a copy of Diablo II to purchase. I thought it was a little odd and asked her casually why she picked this particular game. She told me it was on her 9 yr. old grandson's gift list and that it was what he wanted so she went and bought it for him. I know that particular game isn't nearly as evil as some have claimed but it proves that the rating system that is forced onto the industry is ineffective since adults will continue to buy their kids these games or take them to R rated movies. The problem I have with limiting the 1st amendment is where do you draw the line? Who determines what is too much? Until we as consumers take responsibilty for what we consume we will continue to promote a market for the legitimate trash that is out there and the producers will continue to provide for the demand. When my kids are old enough for video games and movies I will be their rating system and, just as it was in my house growing up, your first amendment rights with mom and dad do not apply. -

I was talking to a friend the other day about ways to get around the mag ban if it ever comes to that. As much as they're calling them "clips" in the news if we could just get them to use that exact description of them in any legislation than wouldn't "mags" technically be ok to own? :) Yeah yeah I know, good luck with that. But still, it'd be funny.
