  1. Pics of the monster?
  2. Here's the dude I shot at last year. FIL popped him last weekend, I just got the pic..... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  3. Maybe this will help.
  4. Deer rifle for deer, defender with 45lc for a yote.
  5. What deer? The one that you found already shot on your property? Damn poachers. Good on you guys for trying to tag it so it would get counted in the census.
  6. I skipped right over that sentence about the county being antlered only if it's not on the chart. That's the kicker. Why do you need a law degree to shoot at deer?
  7. my82cam , your Inbox is full too..... Like you didn't have enough trouble. I got some little button spikes in the garage you could glue on... Let it go, you might not hear about it, I sure wouldn't draw attention.
  8. Move the sight in the direction you want the bullet to go. Up if you are shooting low, right if you are shooting left. Leaf sights usually don't have windage adjustment (left to right) but move it up a click on the ramp and that will take care of the shooting low.
  9. TN.gov The charts on the site are screwed up. Mary at TWRA is supposed to be fixing it. The Antlerless chart for Unit A is not on the page, they have the Chart for B listed twice.
  10. Best I can tell, he's allowed 2 doe this week. I live and hunt in L, aka paradise... So I read Jackson and got confused looking at the chart online and looked up Johnson, they have the anterless chart for "B" listed under "A" unit and "B" unit. I just talked to the lady at the TWRA, and Jackson co. is not in doe season right now........ Lady said she would fix the chart problem, but your buddy might be up a creek.....
  11. What Unit is Jackson county? I'm too lazy to look, and not in trouble.
  12. Scoped in on 11 doe and not a buck in sight yesterday. I'd say the rut shut down in Lincoln county. I'll try it again this weekend....
  13. 150 grs under a powerbelt hollowpoint for me. Small buck at 30 yards, no exit. The hollow point came apart and got lungs, heart, and a small piece of shrapnel in his spine. He dropped right there, and was dead before the smoke cleared.
  14. I got mixed up when a pair went behind some trees and popped a spike that was running with a doe. He's tender though...
  15. I'm heading to some acreage I've never been to at 4:30 in the morning tomorrow. I just got permission to hunt it yesterday, and didn't have time to go take a peek around. I have an idea of where they bed, and the layout based on a conversation with the land owner, but talk about stabbing in the dark...... FUN!
  16. I agree with this.
  17. I got a report of a 8 and 10 getting taken while locked up on Monday in the LBL. I'm on the injured reserve list for the rest of bow, but if the weather stays cool , I'll be raising a ruckus next weekend.
  18. I've let many deer walk cause I didn't have a good shot on them. Yes, I probably could have neck or gut shot them, but I hunt as ethically as I can, and will not lose an animal if possible. Shooting at a moving bush blows my mind. Morans for sure.
  19. I saw one of the news stations was running a special report on Remington 700's going off without the trigger being pulled. Anyone heard of this or seen the report? I can't remember which station it was, but was hoping someone else caught it. I got a 700 in the safe, so I'm kinda interested in what they have to say. EDIT - Google IS your friend. http://www.forumsforums.com/3_9/showthread.php?p=398704 Looks like old news I guess, I just hadn't seen it....
  20. You will need to put a bullet guide in the Saiga for it it to eat out of standard AK mags. Easy to do, but it is an additional step.
  21. Based on the poll and question underneath, I only have one adequate response. I love lamp.
  22. They ought to start a hunting season in AZ. I'd buy a couple Coyote and Mule tags.
  23. I got peppered by a 12gauge while fishing on the Stones River by a guy hunting. I had to yell a few time to let them know I was there. Sure would have hated for that to have been a .22 . Be real careful on any WMA, there ain't a IQ test for getting a hunting license.
  24. I forgot they had done the .22 mag. Good "catch" . It's friday, I feel goofy.
  25. I stand corrected, for the 14th time today.
