    opinion on a 44mag

first on my hunts in alaska for bears i carried a 50 alaskan which is a 348 winchester blown out stright .it works real good with a 600 grain bullet at 2000 feet per second i have never recovered a bullet from anything shot .in my trips to alaska my guides have carried 375 h&h or 458s but for a hand gun they have all carried 10mm loaded with 200 grain fmj i have always ask even most of the pilots up there carry them my best friend is a pilot up there so i go serevral times a year never have figured out why 10 mm never caudgt on much around here
  12. dont know but at 80 gallons an hour it cost lots of money yo fly one
  13. in the west hollywood shoot out a few years ago the police on the scene let the second shooter bleed out by not going near him for over an hour after he was down is that right i dont know but it did save the county money i think they were sued and lost but dont recall if some one comes into my home with intent to hurt me or mine there wont be any wounded one of us will be dead
  14. it doesnt ream them it swages them and yes that uniforms them as well as taking out the crimp without removing metal
  15. makes me glad to be retired hope you get the job
  16. most dies are about the same if you buy a new ammo load press about 40,000 dollars or a new camdex about 25,000 dollars they come with lee dies
  17. i think lee makes great dies and every dillon powder funnel /case expander is borrowed from lee .some of you know that i sell reloading supplies some dont i stand behind everything i sell if it brecks i that it back .i have a box full of lee progressive presses that dont work i am not bashing lee just telling it like it is with lees warrenty being what it is i had to stop selling there progressive presses as of late i have been selling more hornady lock and loads than dillons imo the hornady is a better press than a 550 on par with a 650.if you ever get a chance to pick up a star reloading press jump on it its the best progressive around again i have most of them set up in my reloading room if you want to try one let me know
  18. bless the usa the lee progresive stuff is JUNK dont waste yout money on it .i am a firm beliver of starting with a single stage first. if you are getting a progressive because you dont have time then you dont have time to reload.if you live near ashland city i have most of the presses in my shop you can try them .as far as rifle ammo goes if you have to trim it i can load it on a single stage much faster than you can with a progressive .although as of late i have been loading 223 on a 1050 dillon and 9 mm on a camdex just my 2 cents worth if just loading ammo as fast as you can because you dont have time then order it from someone
  19. i can tell you everything you say you will here again so for me i will call 911 then say nothing till my lwyer is there to counsel me that is the voice of experince
  20. hi mike i am still having trouble with the coax press you can come get mine if you like as i cant see well enough to reload anything right now .bless the usa i wouldnr get the pro 1000 if i were you as while lee makes some good reloading stuff there progressaves are lacking .save a little more money get a hornady lock and load ap if you want a progresive press.if you are new to reloading i would get a good single stage press first yes i know there are lots of folks that will say i didnt do that it cost them more money in the long run cause if you buy a reloading kit you get scale trimmer all the other stuff you need the press is pretty much free
  21. you folfs from middle tn need to come to knoxville best dhow in tn
