I've been toying with the idea of giving my shotty the Vang Comp treatment. Has anyone here done that and if so, was it worth the money? From watching several videos on it, it looks like it will make a shotgun run alot better.

I could only find one or two places online that carry that ammo. It seems to be out of stock most places

I recently discovered that Speer makes a Gold Dot round specifically designed for compact pistols called Caary Gun. Has anyone ever used this and if so, does it seem to qoek better than the standard God Dot ammo? I was wondering if it improves the velocity difference with a shorter barrel. I was looking to get some for my Shield Plus 9mm. Thanks.

This is the table I bought for reloading. It seems to be sturdy and comes with some neat features. I ordered mine off of Amazon. https://www.sevilleclassics.com/collections/workbench-1/products/uhd20246b?variant=39489547567262

I agree with what McGyver said. While I pray for a total victory by Israel over Hamas and Hezbolla, I also pray for the innocent victims on both sides of the conflict. War has no winners, especially those caught in the middle who only want to live in peace. When Judgement Day takes place, it won't matter whether you're Israeli, Muslin Christian, black, white, etc; we will all stand before and answer to the same God who created all of us. My hope is that this isn't the start to WW3. IsraelStrong

Benchmade auto knives worth the extra money?
lock n' load replied to jeff43's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I own a Kershaw Launch 5 and carried it daily for several years. On a few occasions it would somehow open in my pocket. The last time it did that, I sliced my finger reaching into my pocket. It had also cut a hole in the pocket of my tactical pants which really irritated me (those aren't exactly cheap). I started looking for another auto knife with a manual safety. I didn't want to spend a ton of $$ for one though. I did some researching and ran across the Boker Plus Intention II. It only cost $60 and seems to be an okay knife. My only gripe is that it isn't American made. I guess that's why it was so cheap. I still like my Kershaw but a manual safety is must for me now. -
Warning-Graphic Picture of my Stupidity

Just ordered me a Boker auto. Looking forward to see how it does. I have a Kershaw Launch 5 that I've had for several years. I like the knife but I have had instances to where the knife would partially open in my pocket. I sliced my finger one time while reaching into my pocket. I like the fact that the Boker I bought has a safety switch that prevents accidental openings. -
CCWSafe Coupon / Discount Codes?

I was watching one of their podcasts recently. They are increasing the coverages under certain plans at no additional cost Existing plans will also be upgraded. https://ccwsafe.com/news/ccw-safe-podcast-episode-116-plan-upgrades/ -
That sucks. My card got hacked several years ago. The card company called me about it and refunded the money then canceled my card. The charge was made in Jacksonville, FL. I have never been there. I figured my card got skimmed at a gas pump. Apparently that crime is growing and thieves are getting more sophisticated at doing it. Now I pay with the cashier just because I don't trust the card readers. Especially the ones that aren't monitored closely.

Are there any good resources out there for knife laws? I'm looking at buying a butterfly knife which from what I've found is legal in TN. I would like to find the laws for other states so that should I travel them, I would or would not be legal. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I had been looking at the 1301 for a while and then saw the A300. It's got me interested too. I had also looked at the Mossberg 940. I wonder if one has better recoil reduction over the others?

Does anyone on here use these? I have used them sometimes to help diagnose what I'm doing wrong. https://www.amazon.com/MarksmanSKLZ-Diagnostic-Training-Visibility-Correction/dp/B00KJQF4U6

It would be neat to make a show based off of Call of Duty which is video game. The guy who played Ricky Conlan's manager in Creed would be the perfect character to play Captain Price

I watch Pluto TV quite a bit. I like watching episodes of This Old House. You can learn some neat stuff if you like working on your house. Stirr is another one I watch occasionally. It has the old Starsky and Hutch episodes on it. I like the older stuff myself.

Thanks for clarifying. I didn't know if I'd need to either register it, destroy it or turn it in to my local PD. I don't plan on using for anything. I just didn't want to take a chance on becoming a felon over a whim with the ATF.

I got suckered into buying one when I bought my Shockwave but it is the "Cruiser" length 18.5". Anyways, I didnt care for it and ended up just putting a 12" LOP stock on it and now the brace just collects dust as I have no need for it. Do I have register the brace or does it only apply when it's attached to a AR pistol or 14" barrel Shockwave/Tac 14 shotgun?

Wonder if this will pass?
lock n' load replied to lock n' load's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
After reading Andrew Branca's book and watching quite a few videos on the high costs associated with possibly being charged, de-scalation, use of non-lethal force when possible, etc, it becomes apparent that the good guys must adhere to a "moral code" that the bad guys ignore. The recent shooting at the Mexican restaurant in TX is a good example. The first shots fired were justified but the last "coup de grace" shot to the robbers head showed it to be more of retribution than defense. Same situation with the pharmacist from OK who is serving a life sentence because he couldn't control his emotions. The courts don't care about what we think the law should be. It only cares what what it actually says. When we stray from that then we risk destroying our own lives in the pursuit of "justice". -

It seems that deadly force can used during nighttime hours. I'm guess daytime hours is non-deadly only -

There appears to be a stipulation that says you can't be under the influence of "mind alterimg"substances (alcohol, drugs, etc) when the use of force occurred.

After going back through the terms again and verifying with CCW Safe, I was informed that the coverage also applies to home self defense as well minus the stipulations brought up earlier about family/domestic issues. I've also been watching some of their courses they offer on de-escalation and the monetary costs associated with legal defense for use of force situations. It is good info.

I guess it's kinda like insurance policies. You may have insurance to cover your car but, if for example, you rent an apartment, if you needed coverage for that, you would need to buy a separate renter's insurance policy.
-
This brings up a couple of questions I didnt really think about. Do the plans also cover incidents that may occur inside the home also such as home invasion or do you need to also purchase the Home Dender plan? I'm thinking I would need to get the extra policy but I could be wrong. I dddnt specifially see that info under the plan I bought. The same may also apply to getting the additional civil package to go with the Home Defense plan.
