  1. Thanks all. Finally was able to post a pic of the new Purchase. I know it has been a week but i've been busy with work and other things. Hoping to be able to go shooting this week( my first week off in a long time). I'll be around Tullahoma so if anyone wants to go shooting, offer any tips etc... let me know. Thinking maybe monday or tuesday, depending on what else is going on.
  2. I don't see measurements on the guard. Do you know if it will fit a s&w MP-15 sport? Thanks
  3. I'm on vacation all this coming week. Just got my first AR and want to zero the scope in as well. I will be in Tullahoma all this week. Looking for a place i can go shoot my pistol, AR and maybe plink with my old 22. But i guess once i start plinking with the AR the 22 will be left in the closet. I got other things to do as well this week. But hoping i can go shoot at least one day. Taking a couple friends riding( atv's) sometime this coming week as well. Might have to check this place out.

    M&P15 Sport

Bought mine last sunday at Gander mountain in Huntsville. Was the last one so they say, they said to expect another shipment yesterday( thursday). But since i am working 10 hours a day till tomorrow i decided to go ahead and( excuse the pun) bite the bullet. Still haven't had a chance to go shoot it, but vacation time coming up after tomorrow, so i'll definately get some range time in.
  5. Nice gun, Where did you get the handguard/weaver mount rail? Looks like you're ready.
  6. Not to mention the million cameras monitoring your every move. I won't go to U.K. for anything, not even if it was a "free" trip. They have even outlawed the carrying of Knives over there. ( but i hear bats and batons are still legal).
  7. Haven't had a chance to shoot mine yet, will let you know how the scope holds up when I am able to shoot. Just been working a lot of overtime and letting my ( left hand middle finger heal). Broke the tip the 30th of december. But have time off coming up so i'll shoot it then. Have a friend in the Optics business as well, I asked him what he thought of Barska, He told me he knows the owners and their product is not low end nor high end. But a good middle-end. Hope it holds up, But just in case i got the extended warranty thru Gander, if it breaks I'll replace it with something else. Thanks.

    Your First Car!

1985 oldsmobile Cutlass salon. Black on Maroon, chromed out. Came from the factory like that though. It was my parents first new car back in 1984. I got the use of it when i was 17. After this when my brother started driving we got a 1986 Jeep cherokee 4cy/ 5-speed/4x4 and i took that and let my brother drive the Cut. Miss both those cars, lost the Cutlass in the house fire a few years ago and dad had sold the jeep a year before the fire. Remember lot of good and bad times in both those vehicles. As for my first car i actually bought, I'm still driving my 1998 durango, bought in 1999 and even with 200k miles its still running strong.
  9. Made it. Going to take a while to get used to the new format. But think it might be easier to read now that it's brighter.
  10. Ok, well, i will try this one out, maybe they have changed for the better. Thanks anyways.
  11. Are you an expert in Optics?
  12. I'm bout to die laughing from the above posts. Though the idea of these isn't a bad one, When on a trip it seems a hassle to pull over for just a piss, then you're tempted by the convienence store to buy something and that's more $ spent on some useless junkfood/soda that you'll eventually have to pee into the jug anyways. But better than an empty beer bottle like in "Dumb and Dumber". Least you could fill them with gag gifts and give them away at christmas.
  13. Yep, it was Gander Mtn( only i bought mine down in Huntsville, Al). Think they have them on sale for right at $649( plus you are supposed to get 3 magazines(clips if you wanna say)I got a total of 3( which is not bad for the money). It's a 223 M&P-15 sport if you want to check it out. Should be in their sales flier on sale until the 20th of Feb. Barska sight on sale at $99( after Mail-in rebate) before that they retail right at $220, before rebate they are $139.00 Mainly got this set-up for coyote hunting, and i've always wanted an AR, just couldn't find one that didn't cost an arm and leg. I'll probably keep the Barska. Why would i give it back and get some lower quality optics? Spent right at $1000 today( gun, sight, ammo). Not bad considering just one gun costs well over that. I'm not going to be shooting every-day and i don't have to have the most expensive to be happy. As long as it works and dosen't cost me a fortune.
  14. Well, least i am an owner finally. I saw a good deal today on a S&W MP-15 and couldn't pass it up. Also outfitted it with a Barska red dot and magnifier. Now i got to wait till my week off( after this coming week) to go shoot it. I'll post pics soon, right now i'm looking at other outfitting options.
  15. the thing is, when these officers make mistakes, they are not really held accountable. They might get a reprimand, even a couple days suspended with or without pay pending the result of another investigation. And even if a court settlement is awarded i seriously doubt the original police involved actually pay any restitution out of pocket. It may come from the city or its insurance company. But in reallity it is paid nonetheless by the Taxpayer. So we the sheep are paying for these officers mistakes. I know with any job mistakes can be made, but any figure with that kind of responsibility should be held to higher standards than the average joe. If they would all do their research, double check and not "rush" to make a bust, then the innocent person(s) would not be victimized by the mistakes of those that are trying to enforce the law.
  16. I was scared out of my mind first time was able to carry. After a first few times you get used to it. Now i feel like a piece of me is missing when i don't carry. I cc majority of the time simply because i don't have the time to deal with uninformed people. Have only oc'd out on the trails.
  17. I'm off that week, no starbucks local but i will have to stop into one to show my support. I don't normally drink coffee either, but somehow have been having a craving for that iced frappe.
  18. Yep, sign me up for a couple.
  19. Been to Ny city once, and that was way back before 9/11 and before i was even interested in getting my permit to carry. Won't go back, do business with or have a good thing to say about NY city till they change.
  20. I have heard rumors( don't take my word for it) that if Ron paul loses the primary, he'll go Independent. which in turn will hurt the republicans. I don't like Obama. those thinking they voted for "change" well i guess you got a big suprise when he turned out to be about as bad as the last presidential mistake. And if you think Romney is better, the "Obama care" plan was modeled after "Romney care". Not every one candidate is perfect, not one man can actually change anything by himself. It's the rest of those idiots in congress and the senate that can't agree. It should be for the benefit of the country, not the benefit of those in power's pockets. I support Ron paul mainly because if a new resolution or bill violates the constitution, he'll say "no" to the bill. Hence he's called "Dr.No".
  21. In that annoying nasally voice, i might add. Listen, Mark Levine and the rest of the statist loving media outlets can bash ron Paul all they want. Slowly day by day people are waking up to the truth. People who are accustomed to their comfortable way of life, with the power they have, are scared s******* of the Truth. They will do everything in their power to make Ron Paul look like a fool. I remember back during the last presidential run, they seemed to laugh at Ron paul, Some even went as far as to fight what he stands for. Now they are ignoring him, and when everyone sees the lies the others have hiding in their closets, He has a chance at winning. Which in turn will be a win for the rest of us on the low end of the totem pole. No matter if Ron Paul wind or loses, the message of liberty is getting out there. I doubt if any of the other candidates really cares as much about our rights as Ron Paul. I don't agree with every single thing Ron is for but i definately don't agree with anything those running against him are for.
  22. been to cullman( you going to stoney lonesome park?) I have rode there only on 4 wheels instead of 2. Great park. Next time I'll have to bring my mountainbike ( maybe in the spring).
  23. I can't carry into work, but i have my gun in my vehicle. the boss knows and he don't care, my fellow employees know and they don't mind. I even have another fellow employee that has his HCP and he keeps his in his vehicle as well. Where i work, i'm not really worried about having to use mine, just when i go out for lunch or after work i might. Your life is more important than money, even though times are tough these days.
  24. Looked at his site (it's like a train wreck, to believe it you have to see it). He sounds like a total Douche, even if i didn't have to hear about him from those on this forum. Didn't sign up( i know better than to contribute to this *******). Maybe our luck will hold out and he will fail.
  25. Maybe one of the few on PS3 so far. Have a 360 as well and it don't compare to PS3 IMO. Beat it in 2 days ( and i work all the time). Not much into the online thing though i do like the Survival mode. Made it to level 25 so far on my own. Krazorss is my callsign on the PS3.
