  1. Gen 3 Glock 23 ( think made 2008). I have been carrying it when I can and no issues from rust. Just some wear from the fobus paddle holster. Mind, I don't carry it everyday since i got the shield.

Other than that, no problems what so ever.

  2. I have a gun usually at the ready, Just don't believe i have to carry everywhere in my house. But if i go upstairs, I'll bring my pistol with me. ( just a habit). Shotgun is in the bathroom( which is just adjacent to my bedroom).

If I'm working out in the shop, I'll have my keys with me. Never hurts to have some guns out in the truck ready to go if needed.

  3. We have been getting 9mm in Tullammo ( brass cased) 100 round plastic round cases. Made in Bonsia and Herzegovina.  Probably Fiocci.    Bought a box last night on lunch and a Box of Winchester 100 round for my .40

    Ammo is slowly coming back.

No truck tonight, so any of you headed to Manchester, I saved you a trip.

  4. No worries, Got another one lined up and in 2 weeks I start working for a elctronics company( sales). Got tired of the drive to Manchester and after my interview monday, the Regional manager of the Electronics company I will be working for basically said he would hire me right then and there. But I gave wal-mart2 weeks notice yesterday. Going to work my full 2 weeks and start the new job on the 6th of November.

Pay and hours i couldn't pass up.

  5. The reason these moral laws are passed is one small group dosen't like something and thinks it is their place to tell the rest of us what to do. If everyone would mind their own business and focus on other more important things in this world, we might not be in as bad shape as we are in. Leave the government out, reduce the size and influence of government and we might just get better. But then there are going to be some people who think it is the government's job to take care of us. Which i wholeheartedly disagree with.

Just like you and I have a right to own firearms, it isn't anyone else's business what we buy, how we buy and how much we buy or have. Just like those who are Homosexuals. Which i'mprobably gonna get a lot of flack from the right-winged bible-toting religous people out there. I'm gonna save you the trouble, I'm a christian, and while I'd love to get into my beliefs in general, this isn't the place. I never mix politics and religion.

It's all about the money, religion is a minute point to the homo/hetero marriage ordeal.

  6. Well, this is gonna be my first build of a custom AR. I wanted it to have quality and not be a mass-produced Item. So it looks like i made a good choice. It may take me a longer time than I'm used to but i'm gonna do it right and not rush this build.

I have so many things going on right now, that I probably could have used the money somewhere else. But this was a chance of a lifetime. Got to chance on it when you're given it.

  7. I decided to go with D&T arms( both G&L and D&T are the same distance to me) so either. Having family in the area( family originally from Goodlettsville), helps when i need to pick mine up. Maybe kill two birds with one stone, do some christmas shopping while I'm up that way.

  8. I think it was a great gesture on your part to offer to help. As far as Walmart firing an employee for stopping a woman from being assaulted in the parking lot Walmart should have given him a medal for his action. I think folks in that area should boycott the store till they  gave that employee his job back........jmho

If I was out in the parking lot at walmart( seriously, i'm only in the Parking lot on lunch, and when coming to and from work, all off the clock) and i saw someone being assaulted, I would probably try to stop the assaulter any way I could. Only thing is, wal-mart has a policy that won't allow us to touch anyone ( shoplifters mainly). I don't know if it applies to off the clock people though. I guess the fear of the lawsuit has crippled the "right thing to do".

  9. Guys, the ammo i will be giving him is from before i got hired by wal-mart. I only recently got my discount card and don't want to do anything as some other person did in the past. I am not "selling" anyone ammo to make any profit. If i ever "sell" ammo, It will be for the exact price i paid for it and i have decided if i do decide to buy more ammo from wal-mart i won't use my discount. How bout that( bases covered, Keep reciepts, etc...)

After talking with the guy, he was pissed at the gougers and people feeling the need to get every single round of ammo, that his kid can't go enjoy some shooting. I don't mind helping someone especially if it involves helping kids.

Only giving him a small ammount(He can't make a huge profit even if he were to re-sell).   Also just in a baggy. No box

  10. Well, my order for botha lower and upper have been in since monday( been saving for a while). I wonder, what color options do we get? "any color as long as it is black, black or black".  Like a model T-ford, only custom.

I guess if someone wanted to they could custom paint their own, but i think that would be a waste of a perfectly good billet masterpieces.

  11. You have until sunday to get in on this. I got my order in. It's gonna be another cal besides .223/5.56.   Probably gonna go with a precision long distance shooter. Have my S&W sport for whatever right now. The TGO lower and upper will be a custom job once i get done with it. May take me a while though. But when you do it right, it usually takes time or a lot of money. I don't have a lot of money, so it's gonna take a lot of time. lol

  12. Yes, worked again tonight. And no, Manchester Wal-mart didn't get any .22 LR tonight(was supposed to but no, we didn't get any). Had a few people come in and it was the .22 they were after. But later as I was running the freight to the floor another guy needed help, he was looking for .22 for his daughter to go hunting with. Now it is one thing to keep an adult from shooting, but these gougers and hoarders are gonna have to draw the line at this. When you keep a kid from getting to go hunting or target shooting with .22 it makes me kinda sad. See i never got into hunting when I was a kid, only shot a .22 at Boy scout camp before i got into guns. BB and pellet guns since i grew up in the city limits.

Long story short... He needed ammo, we didn't have any but I offered to give him some so his kid could go shoot( 11 year old daughter). Gave him my number and I hope i can help him.

I don't usually do this but he seemed genuine.

  13. It has been a steady decline in the value of the dollar. If it were backed by something that was actually worth something( not the government's word), we could see prices on everything go down. Printing more money dosen't help us, it actually hurts us.

I miss the days of $1.00 gas, I actually would settle for $2.00 a gal gas. But like it or not, everything is gonna go up from now on. Unless something changes. Talking real change here, not this hope and change bull crap the "Big O" has been spouting.

  14. We got some .22lr in tonight. Only problem, it was sold within 30 minutes of it hitting the floor. Seems everytime I go by the sporting goods dept there is at least one guy asking"you got any 22 tonight?", only to be dissappointed by the gougers getting a 2 box limit and then having their buddies/family, buy the rest of it.

Kinda makes me sad, those that want to shoot can't, simply for not being in the right place at the right time.

If only people would stop buying from these gougers/re-sellers, then maybe everyone who wants to shoot will be able to.

  15. Man, I Hate a thief.  I got broken into a couple years ago ( luckily way before I got into guns). Just glad your carry weapons weren't in your truck. More likely it was someone on drugs. But this day and age, it could be anything. A lot of people have hit rock bottom( but even that is no reason to resort to thievery).
