I don't subscribe to any magazine. I used to subscribe to a few magazines but after reading them once and tossing them,( i recycled) i realized my priorities were shot. This all before the internet came about. So even when people try to sell me subscriptions, i tell 'em no. I aint got time for that.

I now work at Tullahoma's Electronic Express and we won't know the black friday deals until the day before I'm afraid. Right now there are a couple sales going on at every EE, But it seems a lot of people are waiting til the BF sales and the crowds. Before when I was not working retail, I would avoid BF like the plague, but since i work retail now, I can't avoid it.

Compared just to show these aren't that expensive. Not like i want to buy one but your range is gouging. But maybe h orders from this site and has a double mark-up. http://www.nles.com/store/customer/home.php?cat=347

Talk about Gouging. Even the fake badges are expensive.

Wal-mart has a "No weapons" policy and would not allow anyone to carry on the clock. Now the whole time I was there i had a gun, sometimes 3 at the most in my vehicle. I just couldn't carry it with me while working. ( which i probably wouldnt want to, since it would get in the way and i really didn't need it while working). Now the drive back home, I was no way going to be without a weapon of any kind. Since the drive usually ended up with me getting home around 2 a.m. ( usually sooner). I never told them i had a weapon while working there but i assume maybe 25% of the workforce there didn't tell anyone either. Liability is the biggest issue. Nobody wants to be sued. And a partial reason for not wanting their employees to carry is the possibility of scaring away the customers whoeither are afraid of being around guns or have the mindset that if you don't have a badge, you're the bad guy if you carry a gun.

Trying to play the Walmart .22 game

You'd be suprised how long it takes people when they are motivated. I've done a 2900 piece truck and it seemed like it took us forever. But a 1300 piece truck we unloaded once right at 7 p.m. Only unloaded a truck by 6:30 pm once. and that was a 700 pc truck. And all this after pulling the back end and moving more pallets than i've seen in a long time. Manchester walmart also is one of the few walmarts out there with only one loading dock area. Most of the newer stores have 2 separate docks. We had to break the rollers a few times to allow the unloading of another "palletized" truck. -

Actually it varies. Most stores will stock ammo at 7:00 a.m. a few will stock the ammo as soon as it is unloaded off the truck. Which the management wants it unloaded by 7 p.m. and then the unloaders have to go to lunch. Sometimes the sporting goods guy will come to the back when we were unloading and get the ammo, sometimes he would let it wait til the morning. True the stock is pulled to the floor at 8p.m. and the night shift comes in at 10 p.m. to stock. They stock all night until morning to 7 am or later. I've only seen a few lines at the sporting goods counter when I was there. Can't believe how many people would ask for .22 even when there wasn't a truck. But supposedly with the Black friday shopping day upon us, there will be a truck everyday and 2 on wednesday. I'm just glad I don't have to unload anymore. -
I shoot my .177 pellet rifle more than I've shot any of my rifles/handguns this year. I live in the city limits, so a pellet gun is legal and my neighbors don't seem to mind. Break barrel Gamo air rifle with built in suppressor. I've dialed in the scope and think I'm doing pretty well on target shooting. I found some reactive targets at WM for under $20. Some spinners and some targets you can challengeyour friends on. Now, I need to get more pellets sometime. But i have enought to last me a while. I have plenty of .22lr for whenever i decide to go hunting again. But you can kill a squirrel with a BB gun/Pellet gun. Just i guess everyone likes to hear the crack of a .22

Oh, I'm just kinda glad i won't have to dealwith these resellers who come in lat after the truck is unloaded. Seemed they knew when we were getting .22 in before anyone else did. One night we were supposed to get some in, I guess a sporting goods clerk told some guys and it spread like wildfire. But none came in, and those idiots waited for nothing. Now i think they don't tell anyone what is coming in anymore. We would tell people when they asked "when are you getting some more in" we don't know, they would have to call the store around 8 pm. I got what i needed and i doubt i need anymore. Family got what they needed and no more. So we aren't selling any of our ammo either. -
8) also good to wear eye protection. 9) instead of caulk, for bigger gaps use the "great stuff" foaming insulation. Just be aware it expands, just don't over do it. You can trim it when it dries.

I've heard from many people asking me why one person needs an AR-15 or semi-auto rifle. I simply tell them, look in the constitution. There is no mention of need in the bill of rights. Just that they are rights and shall not be infringed upon. Some people still don't get it. Once they( gov't) takes away your right to have one certian type of weapon, what is going to keep them from taking them all? If they would look into the history of the American revolution they would see that the British tried to ban the colonists from having the same muskets as the "redcoats" had and that was one of several incidents that led up to the American Revolution. I'm sorry, but i will not bow down to any sort of tyrant. Whether it be King George III or Obama.

Ok, I am in.

Once someone decides to rob someone you, that person is threatening your life. Because you don't know what he/she will do out of spite. Good guys/gals don't rob or resort to crime to pay their debts. If these "thugs" were as much good young men as their families have said, then they would never have resorted to robbing someone. The chose the easy way and it got them killed. Just imagine how the shop owner/shooter must feel. He was defending his life and livlihood, and now is portrayed as the villian by the family. And the media is no better.

And the storyline is a little different. A lot more action. I played the scenarios ( got to practice before i go against the 13 year olds) lol. Haven't done the multipayer yet. but will eventually.

I felt sorry for the guy..... so I did something about it.

Officially thru with my job at the Manchester Walmart. I start the new job at 4p.m. and I'll be selling electronics. Decided to keep some .22 ammo in my vehicle just in case i run into the guy i originally tried to help. Also, if i run into someone else in the same situation. Thanks all. -
Maybe from the doctors and the city/county he was searched by. But the officers involved won't pay a dime. I bet the money comes out of the taxpayers in that area. The constant probing and crapping was not necessary. All they needed was one x-ray. But still if you're holding your own Buttocks, it dosen't mean you are transporting narcotics. Maybe he really had to crap and was constipated. At least he isn't anymore. I do hope he is able to get some money for being treated this way.

I need some more info before i decide if I am in or not. thanks.

I have played mine since i got off work. The multi-player is a lot better than the older games. and the storyline is a little insane, but i guess they ran out of russians and terrorists. I'm on PS3 and gamertag should be Krazorss or Krazor13.

I have a Seiko watch that was given to me by my parents years ago. One of those nice self winding watches. Only thing is, I don't like to wear it when I'm out riding or out in the dirt. So i got a casio G-shock wave ceptor/tough solar watch earlier this year. So far i love not having to set the clock for daylight savings time and i never run out of charge. Now as for the durability of the casio G-shocks. The band( rubber/plastic) will wear out a lot faster than the watch itself. I had one back when I was in High school and it lasted close to 10 years after i got it. Now they are water resistant to 200M( doubt i will ever go that deep). But I take mine off when in the shower.

It actually depends on the type of ammo they( wal-mart) has for sale. I know the match grade ammo goes for around $33 a box of 20. And I have seen ammo as low as $6 for a box of 20 all in .223. I'm afraid we will never see the low low prices of ammo as in the past. But it isn't wal-marts fault. They have a contract to buy so much ammo from their supplier and have to sell it at a certian rate. Depending on the type and brand of ammo, you could see a drop or rise in prices.
-
But the installers (sub-contractors) have to be approved by lowes or Home Depot before they can do the install. It is up to you whether or not you get the store to set up the install or you contract it out yourself. I used to work for lowe's, I remember selling installs of Water heaters, tubs and toilets. All our installers had to be certified by Lowe's. So it won't be just your average joe doing any install. If It were me, I'd ask who the installers are for the flooring and their work history. Talk with someone who has had installations from either home depot or Lowe's and go from there.

My (manchester) wal-mart is a bit different. We get trucks almost everyday. Yet can't get it all unloaded until 7-8 pm. Sometimes later than that. They'll put the ammo out on the shelf as soon as it comes in but lately, some of the sporting goods guys have decided with christmas coming, they'll wait until morning to stock it( especially if it is .22lr). Cause people will call everyday asking for the ammo and we really don't know if it is on the truck until it is unloaded. Had one time we thought we were getting .22 in and Nope, nada, not on this truck. Yet there was a line about 10 deep of people wanting to buy the darn stuff. So now we don't tell anyone what we are getting in advance. I really think there ought to be a 1 box( yeah 1 box) limit on the .22lr. All other calibers there are plenty of 2 box limit. Because one guy will come in, get his 2 boxes, bring his wife and his friends and clean out all the .22, and then there is still going to be those who want to shoot but cant. It especially irks me when a grandfather comes in and says he can't take his grandkids shooting because of the Hoarders/Gougers have gotten all the .22lr. If it gets any worse, I say get a BB/pellet gun and not worry about it.

Yep, joke. I posted it too late.

I have other hobbies. Just the PS3 and most of my gaming hobbies allow me to shoot and not waste ammo. Atv, have to load up the trailer, find someone to ride with and then find a place to ride...Burns gas. Shooting, right now waiting on the CMT lower and upper to be ready so I can get them and start on the new build. Plus with me changing jobs soon, i'm gonna be scrounging for spare time. So the Gaming hobby fits in to my schedule. Anytime, an hour to a couple hours. Takes a lot of stress out i have at work.
