  2. Me I would use electricity , but I would use a photo cell or time clock so not to shock my mail man . I had a neighbor tell me he seen someone snooping around here about a year ago . ( I live in the sticks ) So I brought home a neon transformer ( 15,000 volts ) , wired it to my bass boat trailer . Never the less if you get within 5 foot ouch .

Ok I got a 69 yr old grandmother , she has had her HCP for a long time . She has owned several handguns . It is gettinr time to get something different for her . She lives in the Columbia area and I told her I would take her shopping in FEB. Wanting to go somewere that she can spend the day handling and renting handguns to see what she feels comfortable with . I will make a day of it so if I got to drive 100 miles so be it . Any ideas of were to take her . THANKS
  6. I have shot a XD .40 3 " , to me it was the same as a 9MM .
  7. gunman the thing with the safety is if you had to use your gun you may not have time to think about is the safety on or off . Right now I carry a 24/7 oss with the safety off but it is decocked with one in the chamber . And a external safety will not stop a kid or bad guy from firing the gun . IMHO
  8. Well I have not cared for a GLOCK for years , but I have shot and handled a few . I have got to say I've been thinking about joining the dark side and getting one . I like all guns that do what they suppose to . I even own a hi point c9 so I don't bash any . To each there own , I think I hear the dark side calling maybe need to go get 1 or 3 .
  9. I do not own a glock but I have shot lead out of a lot of others . It will get a good bit of build up in the barrel . As long as you check it often it will be ok . As far as practice rounds WWB and FED are a few pennies more and you don't have to worry . JMHO
  10. Well that would be why I do not use any gas heat or appliances .
  11. In my younger days I would have said , puff puff pased that !!
  12. ––have more experience using deadly force in "street combat" than their intended victims; I know of 3 LEO that fired on 1 guy , 1 fired 8 rounds 1 fired 6 rounds the last fired 7 rounds . This all took place in the parking lot on a busy road . The bad guy was only hit by 1 YES 1 round . It goes to show that even everyone needs to shoot as often as possible .

    ARLINGTON

SHALL WE HIRE A MONUMENT ENGRAVER TO GO TO ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY AND ADD THE MISSING WORDS ? A MESSAGE FROM AN APPALLED OBSERVER: Today I went to visit the new World War II Memorial in Washington , DC . I got an unexpected history lesson. Because I'm a baby boomer, I was one of the youngest in the crowd. Most were the age of my parents, Veterans of 'the greatest war,' with their families. It was a beautiful day, and people were smiling and happy to be there. Hundreds of us milled around the memorial, reading the inspiring words of Eisenhower and Truman that are engraved there. On the Pacific side of the memorial, a group of us gathered to read the words President Roosevelt used to announce the attack on Pearl Harbor: Yesterday, December 7, 1941-- a date which will live in infamy-- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked. One elderly woman read the words aloud: 'With confidence in our armed forces, with the abounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph.' But as she read, she suddenly turned angry. 'Wait a minute,' she said, 'they left out the end of the quote. They left out the most important part. Roosevelt ended the message with 'so help us God.' Her husband said, 'You are probably right. We're not supposed to say things like that now.' 'I know I'm right,' she insisted. 'I remember the speech.' The two looked dismayed, shook their heads sadly and walked away. Listening to their conversation, I thought to myself, 'Well, it has been over 50 years; she's probably forgotten.' But she had not forgotten. She was right. I went home and pulled out the book my book club is reading --- 'Flags of Our Fathers' by James Bradley. It's all about the battle at Iwo Jima . I haven't gotten too far in the book. It's tough to read because it's a graphic description of the WWII battles in the Pacific. But right there it was on page 58, Roosevelt 's speech to the nation ends in ' so help us God.' The people who edited out that part of the speech when they engraved it on the memorial could have fooled me. I was born after the war! But they couldn't fool the people who were there. Roosevelt 's words are engraved on their hearts. Now I ask: 'WHO GAVE THEM THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE WORDS OF HISTORY?????????' Send this around to your friends. People need to know before everyone forgets. People today are trying to change the history of America by leaving God out of it, but the truth is, God has been a part of this nation, since the beginning. He still wants to be .... and He always will be! If you agree, pass this on and God Bless YOU! If not, May God Forgive You! GOD BLESS AMERICA
