  1. Good rifles, but not that great a price. You can get them new on Amazon for $20 more and if you are a prime member... free shipping.
  2. I'm very happy with my LWRC REPR... top it off w/ a Swarovski z6i and a bipod and you are gtg. Excellent for reaching out and w/ the scope dialed down it's a fine cqb platform.
  3. Double rifles are the way to go. I saved up and got a Merkle double in .375 H&H. I LOVE that gun. African wildlife shudders everytime she comes out of her case.
  4. I admire your sense of "enough gun". I've taken everything from whitetail to bull elephant with the .375 H&H... it's plenty of gun for me, thanks. My shoulder aches just thinking about hunting w/ that kind of artillery.... of course, I don't expect you have to follow blood trail on whitetails for more than a foot or two.
  5. I'm getting set up to reload my .375 H&H. I won't get back to Africa this year, but at least I can think about it while I work on the reloads.
  6. Good info here fellas. Appreciate it!
  7. Any one have suggestions for a used truck that's easy to do repair and maintenance on? I need something for working around the farm, but I can't afford to shell out the big bucks that mechanics want to install a forty dollar part. So I need suggestions for a pickup that is "shade tree mechanic" friendly. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
  8. Very difficult to find 5.7 ammo right now.
  9. POGs. I swear, you wouldn't even feed em if you had a choice.
  10. We should be lucky that the tax is only 2.3%. The excise on fishing poles, according to the pdf is an additional 10%.
  11. Exactly, Volphin. He needed to say exactly nothing until his lawyer arrived.  The police are obviously hostile and he desperately needs someone to keep him out of trouble. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, talk to the police without a lawyer present... there are waaaaay too many ways to get in trouble without knowing it. To be clear, I have great respect for LEOs and the difficult job they do, I will always cooperate and be pleasant, but the only word I'm going to say is "Lawyer".
  12. Jcoosi, do you know of any Goju ryu schools in the Nashville area? I trained Goju and Shotokan for years when I was younger and would like to get back into it.
  13. Awesome. Money quote: "This man has giant invisible dinosaur balls. They're invisible, that's why you can't see them."
  14. I would absolutely loose it. My daughter is grown and out of school but I'm strongly encouraging her to home school my granddaughter so we can avoid this nonsense.
  15. I'm trying it for the first time. Working on my setup this week.
  16. What an amazing collection.
  17. Awesome wheelgun with a fantastic story. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing (unless you want to shoot it). It's a heritage piece for your family... keep the grips your father used every day.
  18. I hear you walton. Any man who would face down British regulars with a rag tag troop of militia, pirates and freedmen is not someone to trifle with. That plus he was a known duelist. His experience in single combat would certainly give him an advantage. If the weapons were swords or pistols, I'd give it to Jackson hands down, but this fight is going to get up close and personal and I think TR's experience as a boxer will give him the (forgive the pun) edge in a knife fight.
  19. It'd come down to Jackson vs TR. Jackson is a killer, no doubt, but TR is a bad ass in his own right. The man took an assassins bullet and finished his speech before seeking medical treatment. Even odds on the last one standing, but it'd be a hell of a fight.
  20. Whoops. Just noticed this elsewhere. Mods please kill this thread.
  21. Looks like they've gone over to the other side.   http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/feb/19/comcast-cable-blacklists-gun-related-ads/
  22. You would do well to find a good CPA and if you can a lawyer as well. They can help you with the setup of your company. Most likely, you will want to set up as a Sole Proprietorship or as an LLC... all depends on the tax situation. Regardless it's well worth the up front investment to get the professionals in on this. Oh, and the SBA can provide some helpful resources as well: http://www.sba.gov
  23. Sounds like TFB is over reacting.
  24. Just spotted this on TFB: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2013/02/13/amazon-removing-gun-products-from-store-worse-than-ebay/   Does anyone have any further information? I don't want to cancel my Amazon membership unless this is legit.
  25. That stock is amazing.
