  1. That's just mean.
  2.   AH HA! I knew I was doing something wrong.
  3.   Good for one season at most... I had heavy cardboard down covered by six inches of wood chips.. great for the first season, by season two, I had to get the mower out.
  4. I've had to work in environments where the smells alone would give you recurring nightmares, I understand your concerns. Using the vicks as Troutburger suggested has worked well for me in the past. If that's not convenient, just breathe through your mouth... sometimes cramming some tissue paper up your nose will help if it gets really bad. Ultimately though you just have to cowboy up and get through it. It's not fun to hear, but the best way to get past a truly disgusting situation is usually to just embrace the suck and push through.
  5. That'll do the trick.
  6.   That's damning with faint praise.
  7. I'd get outside of Davidson County if you can... it's a blue island in a sea of red.
  8. Almost time to shoot a thunder chicken in the face! Can't wait! Checking my blinds and patterning my guns this weekend. We had a flock of 70 hens on the property a few weeks ago and since then tons of sign that they are still nearby. We'll see if they are still in the hood come opening day, but confidence is high.
  9. They can have my grill when they pry it from my cold dead hands.
  10. Nice. I still haven't gotten to mine.
  11. I use Privi for practice rounds in my .375 H&H. They always go boom. Haven't shot Monarch though.
  12. For an M2? Benelli Crio Plus Extended Turkey Choke Tubes. By far the best turkey choke I've tried. I use it on my M2 (tactical set up) and it reliably out patterns longer barreled guns every time.
  13.   I'll make them a deal. They don't give me gun safety advice and I won't give them medical advice. Let's all just stay in our own lanes.
  14. Seems like a pretty good price for .45 ACP.... .30 per round... cheapest available on ammo seek is .27 per round and if you want anything other than steel cased russian, it's more like .33 or .34 per round.
  15. All seem a bit large for neck knife. That being said, my choice would depend on intended purpose. For use in the woods as a skinner / hunting knife I'd go with #2. For something a little more self defense oriented or just cool looking I'd pick #3.
  16. That sounds awesome. Don't know if I could make it or not... depends on the date. Thanks for putting this together.
  17. More likely .308 or 7.62x38. Heavy safari rounds are harder to come by over there than you might think... you have to go into heavily secured gun stores and present id. However, there's a crap ton of military surplus floating around. It'd be pretty trivial for a poacher to buy ammo off a soldier or the "police". One other note: the rhino that are left these days are pretty docile. Black rhino are very aggressive, but they are almost gone. The white rhino I've been around are about as aggressive as domestic cattle... pretty sure the poachers can get very close... they don't need to be terribly accurate.
  18. I would stand 20 yards away and watch you shoot it.
  19. Neat little gun.
  20. Nice. What calibers on the Marlins?
  21. I still wear orange on my property. Way too many hunters in the surrounding woods.
  22. Agreed. This will never pass, wasted effort and grandstanding to my eyes.
  23. HAH!
  24. Tinnitus is fun. It's awesome to have a constant high pitched whine in your left ear.    Has anyone tried the hearing aid style ear pro? Seems like something I might actually wear on a hunt.
  25. Good looking dog. Congrats.
