  1. I was in commie Canada on a fishing trip in 2008. I think we could have gotten a pistol in, but it was up to the border guard to allow or not. We opted for not, even though we were at a cabin that was used for bear hunting in winter months. We came back after a few hours of fishing and a bear ran off with our deap frier pan that we cooked fish in for lunch. When the guide flew in to pick us up we showed him a pile of poo that was definately a bear. All I had was a Kabar and luckily did not have to find out if it was enough.
  2. Anybody play split screen online yet? How is it? Can the second player log in with their own credentials or is it a generic second player? Couldn't find the answer online. Multiplayer rocks by the way. The wager mode has some real potential.

    Finally got it

    Cool piece.

    9 or 40?

I have a couple .40 Glocks with drop in 9mm conversion barrels. It's the best of both worlds. Cheap 9mm for range and I feel more comfortable carrying a .40.

    new addittion

    Congrats on the great price.
  6. I picked up my LCR a few days ago. It has the Tamer grips with night sigts for $399. I didn't realize it was a consignment piece until I asked why it was such a sweet deal. Looks great and taking it to the range Sunday. It will be the wife's carry piece.
  7. I'll be bringing: GSG-5 (with rebuilt bolt, had some trouble last month) M&P15 OR model Vltor Upper/ Spikes lower AR that debuted last month Lancaster Arms 5.45x39 AK New England Firearms .243 Ruger GP100 .357 Glock 22, 34, and 35 And the newly aquired Ruger LCR .38
  8. Got it last night, but only spent an hour playing through the campaign mode. I'm "xX bigwakes Xx" on 360.
  9. Or you could just give it to me:-)
  10. I just found it on Products - Vitacost for $217 and using coupon code wbten get's $10 off. Total $207 plus shipping. Still looking though.
  11. I think we decided to go with the Katadyn Pocket filter. It's more than most of the other portable filters, but the long term price is lower. Most camping filters are around $90, but the filter lasts for 150-200 gallons with the next filter being $50-100. I think the upfront cost of the Katadyn is worth it in the long run since it will filter 13,000 gallons and will likely never need a new filter. I'm sure we will use it for camping trips and the like. Any word on the cheapest place to find it? I'm seeing it on eBay for $229.
  12. I have dry fired an LCR and several other pocket revolvers. LCR was the best trigger pull. I'm actually picking one up tomorrow. Glad everyone likes them.

    Gone Crazy

Don't feed it after midnight. All my glocks tend to multiply. Congrats.
  14. I saw it at the shoot, but never shot it. I need to check it out on the 14th.
  15. Great idea on the Poll. Don't know why I didn't think of that.
  16. Just pay the dues and shake his hand. He will go over range rules and that's about it.
  17. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Ried, and Obama are all in a sinking ship. Who does God save? The American People!
  18. I have a 4 inch GP100. Love the gun.
  19. Nice weapon!
  20. Your cylinders will get gummed up. Pay special attention to clean the cylinders. The great thing is a typical .357 has a larger frame which makes it a heavier gun. This really brings down the recoil if your shooting .38.
  21. Congrats!
  22. Looks like folks want to do it again, so here it is. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/48412-middle-tn-owl-hollow-chmr-november-14th-meet-shoot.html Let's have as much fun as we did last time.
  23. We will meet at the Charlie Haffner Memorial Range/ old Owl Hollow on November 14th at 1:30pm. This time we will be using the main range. The private side is booked with a class on the 14th. So this means no grill to use, but we will still have a great time. The main range has 25, 50, and 100 yard rifle targets and a pistol pit that goes out to about 20 yards. We will still have use of the skeet area if anyone wants to throw some pigeons. The cost will be $5 for non members and members of CHMR will be free. If you want to join the range for 2011 you can pay your $40 annual membership fee and the $5 guest fee will not apply to you.
  24. Welcome
