  1. I guess I hadn't thought about that. Are there chemical tests for checking water?
  2. It seems like each squad is it's own group and it is what you make it.
  3. He has the talent, there is no doubt about that. One day when he puts his big boy pants on and crosses into manhood he will be a great QB. The Titan's don't have that kind of time. They need a real QB now. Smith looks good for his first NFL game. Glad he is getting a shot.

    Glock?

I started with the G23 for my first Glock because of the reasons you listed. When I could afford the 35 I sold the 23 for a subcompact 26. Now my only 9mm glock is the competition 34. The 22 is the bedside gun and 27 is the CCW. Still can't part with the 35 though.
  5. We could start a Zombie Squad with ZombieSquad. Seems like a cool group.
  6. +1000 Channel 4 did a poll and 69% of fans said let him go. At least Smith was trying to hit Moss and had a beautiful throw to him in the end zone that was called back.
  7. It would work, but probably taste like boiled pond water and would not help if there was a chemical in the water. Such as the recent floods.
  8. Do you have a Katadyn? How easy is it to filter? I have read it can be tough to pump.
  9. Makes sense.
  10. Why have the signs not been removed? Is it laziness or trying to tell people who can't legally carry to not ilegally carry in the park? I was at Henry Horton and seriously second guessing my understanding of the law because it's posted at all the camp sites.
  11. I have no doubt the NEF is a good gun, but there is not that much savings to be had. Did you guys buy them for budget reasons or just like the NEF brand? I have an 870 that I picked for $250 used like new not long ago.
  12. I did lot's of research a couple of years ago and for the money bought a S&W. It replaced a bushmaster and I have been very happy with the Smith. I have since built my own on a Spike's lower and got the Vltor upper complete. I would say spend some time at an outdoor range and bring some .223 ammo. You will most likely trip on a half dozen ARs on a nice day. If you ask lots of questions you will eventually be asked if you want to shoot one. See if folks would let you shoot a few. An AR is not as simple as they used to be. There are lots of choices for stocks and gadgets that don't fit every shooter. Your price range makes a huge impact on your options. Be sure to spend some times on iron sights before making the leap to optics.
  13. It's jamming way too much. I took the bolt apart to detail clean it and upgrade the screws as some have suggested. I noticed a little dent on part of the bolt. I'm pretty sure that's causing the issues. I talked to the ATI gunsmith and he told me of a few upgrades that it needs too. Look at the lowest part of the bolt in the pic. It has a small dent on the edge.
  14. I have an issue with my GSG-5 and spoke to ATI today. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and kind. I described my problem to the gunsmith and he said send it back along with all my mags and they will send it back running like a top. Anybody deal with sending a gun back to them? Any ideas on turn around time and follow through? As long as they work like they talk it should be a good experience.

    H&K pistols

Good guns. I had a USPc and loved it. I eventually traded it, but reliability and accuracy were great. I just got to the point that I carried and competed with Glocks, so the HK was a safe queen.
  16. It's the same reason PD and military use pump guns, reliability. I know the better auto shotguns are 100% reliable, but the lower end shotguns are not. Maybe auto shotguns have gotten a bad rap over the years. I sold my 870 a few years ago and went with a Stoeger. I know bad idea, I sold it and bought another 870 inside of a year.
  17. But only one cousin in the Nashville PD. What are the chances? I'll say 7 to 1 for optimism sake. I must say, I love looking at the time stamp on posts. Sometimes I can barely refresh before there is another reply.
  18. I thought you were joking, so I had to Google it myself.
  19. Here are some zombie nuts ZombieSquad. I think they have zombie fever worse than TGO.
  20. So, all debating aside. Where is a good place to get ASP certified? I think the idea that you will probably never need it applies to firearms as well. I hope I will never need it, but might be nice to have it as an option. I called Academy of Self Protection in Joelton and they offer the class but don't have a date on the calender yet. Anybody know of any classes going on in middle TN?
  21. Looks great!
  22. Be sure to spend lot's of time with the iron sights befire moving to optics. Looks like a great weapon.
  23. Not going to help with drawing quickly, but check out Guntee.com - The Ultimate In Concealed Weapon Appeal. It was actually designed by a biker for bikers. His leather outfit looks a little different than yours, but might be useful. I use the Gun Tee more than any other carry option. I kind of like the rifle case strapped behind you.
  24. I'm not sure. I'm guessing I'll get to prestige right about the time the next Call of Duty awesomeness is released. No offense to anyone actually living in their grandmother's basement.....I'm sure it's a swell place.
  25. I just have a spare mag in the truck all the time, since I don't carry one on my person.
