It's amazing that we keep finding out what is in the bill months after it's passage.

There are a couple of groups in middle TN that do just that. Log In | Facebook these guys are from ZombieSquad and are just starting the group. Before the zombie bashing begins, take a look at the site. It's about disaster prep first.....zombie slaying second. They have some good info on the main site with a local group in Nashville. A quick look at the zombie forums will turn up a couple other local groups with similar goals.

Just he sure to check with neighbors. I think they can protest a range up to 1 year from the time it opens. There was a range in Millersville that was having lots of problems with neighbors. I'm not sure if they are still operating.

From Sniper Central - Mel's Sniper Page here is a ballistics comparison. .308 Hornady 168 A-MAX .308 muzzle of 2780fps energy 2884 at 1000 yards velocity 1234 energy 568 drop 409 and deflection 99.9 BC of .475 6.5 Grendel Hornady 140 A-MAX 6.5 muzzle 2810fps energy 2454 at 1000 yards velocity 1398 energy 608 drop 361 deflection 80.3 BC of .550 Looks like the Grendel would be a decent replacement if you already have a lower. But, Grendel uppers are in the $950 range at Midway and an M1a can be had for around $1100-1200, so it might be a wash by the time you factor in ammo prices /availability.

Mine is a Romanian Lancaster that I bought from Atlantic. Good looking rifle. The crate bumps up the cool factor a few notches.

Have a GP100 4 and seems to get the job done. It's my wifes gun and it met her criteria.... shiny with a black grip.

Shadows eh? Remember this will be rifle, not pistol. Tell you what you can borrow my pistol with 15 shots per mag and I will use the M4 since you seem to be so good with a pistol. You should come out, Glenn is trying to back out on this one. He has played a few times, but seems to be content with his win last week.

I'm sure we will play again.

I tend to see the intent as a defense as well, but all it takes is one idiot in the group to say the wrong thing and now the intent is open to interpretation. Your intent can probably be scewed by any lawyer or journalist anyway.

No such request was made. I guess I misunderstood the post. Anyway airsoft can be whatever you want it to be. You can play foce on force senarios, which I have done in a defensive pistol class or you can get as into it as you want. There are definately some guys out there that seem to be way into it, but others who are fine to put their spare mag in a back pocket and wear a T-shirt. I probably have less than $300 invested in the whole thing, but I try not to take it too serious.

If you play Airsoft we will be having a game on Saturday January 22nd at noon. The field is called DP field and is close to the AG center in Franklin, Pm for directions to the field. This is a real Airsoft field with 20 buildings on two acres. The game will start at noon and is limited to thirty players. You must sign a waiver and use biodegradable bb's. They can be had at Nashville Airsoft or online. A few rentals are available at the field for $20 and includes 1000 bb's. You can also do 1 day rentals at Nashville Airsoft for around the same price. Here is a video of a recent game at the field: YouTube - M7 @ Franklin 2Bros, 1st Match 1-8-11

Not sure how it works, but might be worth the $40 per gallon to put in the wife's car.

I taught my wife to shoot before we got married. I see your point for sure. I took a group to get their carry permit, because my wife wanted to get hers. I went because it was 8 friends and my wife. They would not even let spouses stand next to each other. And yes, my wife shoots a couple times a year and out shoots me ever time.

I started it, but will finish it later. There are some middle TN outfitters that guarantee you kill a pig or the hunt is free. Must be plenty around here.

It is not considered lethal force unless you strike to lethal parts of the body like the head or sternum. I have never seen an ASP buster sign. I recently went with a few others from TGO to get certified. I couldn't find any information on carrying in Arkansas so I left it at home. I have yet to find some sort of reciprocity list. Batons are used by security guards as a non lethal option and seem to be a better idea than not having anything when you enter non gun friendly places.

It's actually part of the second amendment and is not up to the states. As long as there are no laws being broken by anyone.

Does my HCP allow me to still carry it?
bigwakes replied to Hippy's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I'm thinking the gun was still designed to be fired with one hand, even if it is modified to also be fired with two. -
If it's not your thing that's fine, but some of us enjoy it. Sorry if playing with real looking guns offends anybody, but lots of law enforcement and military use it as a training aide. You would be surprised how much my military background helps in "playing army." David are you saying you don't want us to post a game on TGO for the members that do play?
-
Took a look at his facebook page. Looks like his games start at noon which is fine with me. Not sure on the number. Once we get a date nailed down I'll post it up in the events. I'm sure we will have less than 30.
-
What does it cost to play? How big is the field? Does he have a website for details or is it pretty informal. I'm up for January 22nd or 29th around 8am if it works for the owner.

This is my Classic Army M4 with my MEU blow back .45 pistol. The black thing on the rail is the battery holder.

Where is the box?

Airsoft is much like paintball, but with guns that look and feel real. Some even blow back like real guns. It's much more like military simulation called mil-sim. You wear camo or even military uniforms instead of jerseys like paintball. Give it a try sometime if you get a chance. Most people where goggles or safety glasses, but I always wear a full face mask after having a buddy get his front tooth shot out. I have an M4 with a tight bore barrel shooting around 350FPS with a .25 gram bb I can group about 8 inches at 50 yards with a pretty solid thud on a target. It can put a hole in a coke can. Most of the fields have a limit around 400. Decent AEGs (automatic electric gun) can be had for around $150-200.
