  1. My brother is in Iraq right now and said cell phones are so common that they list them on the call sign sheet right next to the radio call signs.
  2. If your out of the city limits just pile up some dirt or shoot into a hill side. My brother had access to free used tires. He stacked them and filled them with dirt. I would probably just build a burm with a load of fill dirt.
  3. I have been through the CS chamber in basic training. No fun, but I think I would take it over the taser. The trick to the shower is take a cold shower so the CS/ OC doesn't steam up. I have heard the spray is a little more intense though.
  4. Fun match. Thanks for all the work that went into it.
  5. I know you said no trades, but I have a whole box of new Sharpies. Worst you can do is say no right? Sent from Hell on Usama's DroiDX
  6. The sad thing is theis guy will have more followers when it's all said and done.
  7. I had a pistol with a worn spring that was hitting light off center strikes to the primer. It was out of battery just enough that the pin would hit 1/32 of an inch high. But it was out of battery enough to cause the round not to go off. It was so little that I never noticed what was happening until I called the manufacturer and they sent me a new sprng. Something tells me he was disassembling a pistol and pulled the trigger to take the gun down without racking the slide. One thing is for certain......HE PULLED THE TRIGGER!
  8. Will you take a trade on a Saiga 12? I'll need $1,000,000 from you though. Hurry, Saigas are going up in price every day, tomorrow it will be $1,500,000
  9. It was November last year that Black Ops came out. I only remember because my birthday is in November and seems every year COD comes out with best birthday present a guy could wish for. I'm still not over Black Ops, so glad MW3 is not coming out too soon.
  10. Hate to see a gun store close, but how much can one store take before they call it quits?
  11. This is perhaps the best thread I have ever read. Keep 'em coming.
  12. My brother had a Crossman spring load bb gun and I had a sling shot. We set off to the woods behind my house to go "bird hunting". He was about 25 yards in front of me and I had a quick thought..... wonder if I could hit him in the back of the head from this distance. Don't know why I did, but before I had another though I pulled the sling shot back and found out I could hit him in the back of the head. He charged at me with his little spring loaded gun cocking and firing as fast as he could while I was in the feetal position flinching everytime I heard the spring click. I have never told him, but he missed every shot.
  13. I have used this logic in my pistol collection. I have had Ruger and H&K semi autos. After owning a couple Glocks I just went all Glock for semi autos. My 22 & 35 mags are interchangeable with my 27. My 34 feels much like my carry gun and is tons of fun at the range. I'm in the process of selling my only AK to further my AR collection. I know it's not just one, but it simplifies life when all my mags and accessories fit all my combat rifles.
  14. Can't go wrong with the sub Glocks. I have a 27 now and had a 26. I think it might be good to do some research on the round and decide for yourself what to go with. With the Glock you only lose one round of mag capacity, so it really comes down to recoil and impact to the target. The 27 can be uncomfortable to shoot a hundred rounds at the range but it's not a range gun. If your looking for a fun gun at the range that can also be concealed well, you might consider a 23.
  15. Maybe one burning an American Flag. I'm surprised Barrack didn't give a speech pleading with the guy not to burn the flag. Seems I remember him begging someone not to burn a Koran. Tells me all I need to know about Obama's values.
  16. Looks like fun. Just wish it worked with .22LR for ammo prices.
  17. There are states that offer nonresident CCW, that might be an option. States like North Dakota offer nonresident permits to 18yo and up. I was in Alabama this week and researched the gun laws. They allow open carry with no permit, so they can't be too strict.
  18. It ran fine for the first 3000 rounds or so, then i started getting several jams per mag. I noticed a dent on the bolt group and sent it back to the importer for service. I'm guessing I caused the issue with the bolt, but can't say for sure. The one thing I know for sure is thy took care of the problem and replaced more parts than they needed to. The point is that it's a great firearm and backed with a great warranty. Sorry it was confusing for you.
  19. I have a a GSG5 with 3 stick mags. Works like a dream. I sent it back to ATI this winter when I started getting a bunch of jams. They replaced a dozen parts including the barrel. I was pleasantly surprised. I have shot about 350 rounds of Federal without 1 malfunction.
  20. Still waiting for my C&R. Been about 3 weeks.
  21. I didn't even know he was from Franklin. Saw the finale, it was pretty dramatic.
  22. I would say try to renew as normal and see what happens. Worst they can do is turn you down. If all charges were a misdemeanor than he can still buy a firearm and I agree with Jeff, the law says two convictions. Rurik, you came to the wrong place if you were looking for sympathy.
  23. He does it to work on the property. He is expanding his private range by 3 or 4 positions and building new stands.
  24. Looks like the 3" bayonet would let you carry the shotgun without violating any laws on knife blade size. Don't want to get caught with too long a blade on your shotgun.
  25. 1) it was loaded (obviously not a defensive weapon) 2) he did not practice indexing (his finger WAS on the trigger) 3) he did not practice muzzle awareness If he had only followed one of these he would have prevented such a huge disaster.
