  1. I was in a class about firearm safety and the Williamson County district attorney was there to answer questions. I asked him if I was being car jacked if the perp is unarmed can I use deadly force to keep my vehicle out of his hands. He said his interpretation of the law is that the bad guy taking your vehicle would mean he now has a deadly weapon and would put you in bodily harm. He said it might be open to interpretation from other DAs, but he would not prosecute. On a side note I asked him if I was authorized to use deadly force to keep my firearm out of the hands of an unarmed bad guy and he said absolutely. If you feel someone is trying to grab your weapon you can use deadly force to stop that person from getting your weapon.
  2. I gotta get some.
  3. Ok. I can be there by 9. I'll bring a GSG-5, AR, AK, and an assortment of Glocks.
  4. Something to wet your appetite in the mean time. Check out Jericho online or on Netflix. Not zombies, but awesome show. It's about a nuke attack on 23 American cities and a town trying to survive.

    AR 15 Pistol

I don't think I would carry it anyway. You might need to reload with a faster burning powder to get the round up to speed in a short barrel.

    AR 15 Pistol

The round slows out of a barrel that short, but wouldn't that create the unstable on impact effect that everyone wants? I am considering a 10.5" pistol for the build after a lightweight 14.5" build. Muzzle Energy Computer looks like a .223 has nearly 3 times the energy of a .40 in a standard barrel. Am I missing something or would that drop to under 400 foot lbs of energy.
  7. I'm in for Saturday. I'm on call with work, so plans could be foiled at the last minute. Earlier is better for me.

    6.5 Grendel

I had a 20" Sabre 6.5 Grendel upper that I sold earlier in the year. I like the round and bought a bunch of ammo when I could find it, but decided to move to a .308 bolt gun instead. I didn't really give it a fair shake, but thought it was a good time to sell the Sabre right after the last scandal broke. I would warn that the Wolfe ammo has large rifle primers instead of small magnum primers like all the other manufacturers. Most of the reload data available was based on small magnum rifle primers, so I stuck with A-Max ammo.
  9. Wonder how many senators who don't get reelected for voting for this trash will be selected for committee? This will be create more crony politics than ever before.
  10. My guys is the big O new Traver would not be confirmed so he strong armed the current ATF head out to put his cronie in.
  11. AKs are more accurate than I am. I've never had one out to 300, but I used to hit 1x1 sticks at 50 yards. If it was all out war I would grab my AR, but would not hesitate to grab my AK either.
  12. So if we outlaw all firearms than drunk driving will go decrease?
  13. My wife's first gun was a Ruger GP100, her carry gun is a Ruger LCR .38, and I'm building her an AR. She seems to want to shoot more often when the gun is hers.
  14. Yup.
  15. Do you have your next one picked out yet. They are a bit like Lays potato chips.
  16. I'm no expert, but there are some dissenting opinions on the topic. Better than Bleach: Use Calcium Hypochlorite to Disinfect Water
  17. Be sure it's straight bleach. No color enhancer or any other chemicals. You can also use pool shock for swimming pools.
  18. RK Shows bought Bill Goodman's shows. I talked to Bill late last year and he said they made him an offer he could not refuse. Edit: I was just looking for evidence of this on either website and could not find the details. Anybody else heard this? Did the sale not go through? I talked to Bill myself and was told he had sold.
  19. He can't do anything with your serial number that can harm you. Give it to him if he wants it. His uncle probably had a similar gun stolen or something and is just wanting to make sure that ain't it.
  20. You were right to hide the lighter in the first pic. You might want to Photoshop a hand grenade or something over it.
  21. There is no provision in the law that states how entry was gained. If someone walks through an open door that is not invited, it's considered an unlawful entry. The castle doctrine still applies.
  22. Did you ban yourself? I see a Vacation status. That's a big thing to admit. I'm sure it will be well received by those offended, if any.
  23. At least there is some good news in the world these days.
  24. I have a few suggestions. I would swap the screwdriver for an 18V Dewalt, would swap all three guns for Glocks, swap the soldering iron for a tig welder, and one pocket knife should be an 18" K-Bar. Other than that it looks good.
  25. Seems a little strange. The homeowner opened fire and then the burglar reached in through the broken glass to open the door. I hope I read that wrong. Also they are considering charging Copas, the bad guy. If he lives he should have been charged the night of the shooting, if he doesn't....... one down.
