  1. I have to work all day Saturday and Sunday. Sorry guys. Came up at the last minute.
  2. My spikes light weight build with just BUIS comes in at 6 pounds 3 ounces. My Vltor build with DD Omega 7.0 rail comes in at 6 pounds 10 ounces with no optics.

    Remington 700

I say go with the Buds gun and have it shipped to the Triune saddle shop for $25 transfer and tics. I just talked to the saddle shop and they can order an SPS varmint for $579 or SPS tactical for $599. You could just talk to the owner at Franklin Gun and give home the Bud's price and he may work on the price some.

    Remington 700

The Remington 700 is the base gun for snipers in the US military. I'm looking at getting one myself. It's a great rifle with awesome reviews. It is necessary to figure out the model number to find out if it's a good price. My guess is if it's at FGS you can get it for $100 less elsewhere.
  5. He should stay sober on the road and try again in 2015 from the way that reads.
  6. We are in Arkansas or I'd be all over it.
  7. WSMV: Police: Intruder shot during attempted break in No charges are mentioned, but legally he was not in the home so I'm not sure this falls under the castle doctrine. I did speak with a Williamson County DA that basically said the circumstances would have to be really bad to charge someone with shooing a criminal in the act of a crime.
  8. The sore trigger finger is likely from the stair stepped trigger that they are shipped in with. That's always my first replacement on the mid size Glocks. You can change it to a smooth trigger for a few dollars.

    Gen 4 Glocks

My Gen 4 G22 runs great. Never had a single issue.
  10. I grew up in a small town in West TN. The town is so small they have 3 cop cars. My dad was leaving for work one morning at 5AM. He saw a cop car and as he always does, be flashed his lights at the oncoming car. It happened to be the only other cop working at that time of the morning. My dad actually flashed his brights instead of flashing on and off as most people do. The cop gave him a ticket for flashing bright lights within 50 feet of another vehicle and said he could have written a ticket for obstruction of justice.
  11. Yeah, I probably need to do sometime after noon. There is a preparedness meeting on the 10th in Murfreesboro at noon. If anybody wants more info send me a PM.
  12. I never put my Glock back in the IWB holster with the holster in my pants. I carry at 5 O'clock and can't see if a shirt tail is in the trigger guard. I just take the holster out put the gun in and put the whole thing back in place. That's the only time I get nervous carrying a round in the chamber.
  13. Yep, same old tricks. I wonder if the robbers were wearing purple.
  14. I typically set my price a little higher on used items expecting negotiations and usually expect the same when buying used items. There are entire cultures in other countries where negotiation is how everything is bought including groceries. I like the process and I like the perception of getting a deal.
  15. I just watched the Desert Eagle episode and I'm calling B.S. on the doctored video. No evidence she shot anything other than a DE.

    My rifle.

Looks good. The 74 is a good little rifle. I recently sold mine, but for the cost of ammo you can't go wrong.
  17. There's an app for that! Photobucket Mobile | Apps | iPhone Free and works great. With your picture in the screen click the info button bottom left and just tap the HTML code you want to copy and it copies.
  18. Likely the saMe one that's been floating around TGO: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/gear-classifieds/58055-pelican-hardigg-12-gun-case-us-military-armory-rack.html
  19. True, but with a cell phone I would just call the wife to bring me matches.
  20. Since it won't be a carry piece go with the 22. I have a G22 in my nightstand and it works well. The extra 2 rounds don't hurt either.
  21. I believe this was the spirit of the OP starting the thread. I never said it would be my first choice, just that it would be possible.
  22. You can put vasaline on a cotton ball, it burns for about a minute while you build your fire. Also ignites on the first strike from Fire flint. You can take the bullet out of a round and dump the powder onto your kindling. Shoot the primer and the powder for ignition. Black powder rifle works the same. I saw this method on Dual Survival but have never tried it. A Frito chip will burn for a long time because of the oils used. This works if you have a lighter but want to conserve fuel.
  23. Make sure your boss is not looking over your shoulder for this one. Here is a poster about how things will likely go down. How Everything Goes to Hell During a Zombie Apocalypse - The Oatmeal
  24. I would just hang a sign on all the windows that says "OUT OF ORDER" then they have to use the metal door and it would be impenetrable.
  25. First thing I would try is a new mag. Second thing is new ammo. The strike on the primer looks solid, so I'm not thinking a spring issue.
