I can't imagine why one would carry an unloaded gun. A medium sized stick would be a better defensive weapon. Probably should not have signed the lease. Pretty sure it was written by a lawyer with some knowledge of the law and I bet it supercedes state law. I know I signed an agreement at work that supersedes state law. Might not get arrested, but would get fired. I think this is the same situation. You would not be found in violation of a law in a criminal sense, but would be evicted without notice and required to pay whatever the contract stated for "breaking your lease." I think it comes down to the caliber you have confidence to carry. I carried a 9mm for years and just decided I feel more comfortable carrying a .40. I carry a g27 right now, but carried a 23 for years. The advantage of the 23 is your duty gun mags are compatible.

I had a Glock 35 .40 that started having light of center strikes. After some troubleshooting realized the slide was not seating fully into battery. Turned out the recoil spring was worn out. I called Glock and they said the Gen 3 recoil spring would last about 5000 rounds. They sent me a new one even though the spring is considered a consumable and not a warrantied item. Fixed the problem even though there is no way the gun had 5k rounds down the pipe. I would find someone with the same model and swap springs to troubleshoot it. That's what worked for me. I'm certain a Glock would run dry, but you might try a gun lube on the contact points for the rail. Also, look for some plastic that has been knicked along the frame that meets the slide. Could have been dropped at some point.

I only have one dealer in the area that does up to 5 for the same fee. He now gets all my transfer business. As others have said, his reason is 5 guns fit on one form.
