  1. Your gonna have to provide some proof on that one buddy. The only veteran killed at an OWS event was a suicide in California.
  2. So if you gave up cigs or got a second job to do the right thing and get the Internet service that "all Americans have a right to" you don't qualify. What's next? SWAT team comes to your door to escort the DSL installer to force you to have internet? Whatever happened to my ability to choose not to do so?
  3. You think Obama was wearing his Grinch costume with a turban when he made that decision?
  4. I have a Mako 4x magnifier and it co-witnesses nicely with the eotech 512, but not the 1/3 co-witness scopes like the 516 and 517.
  5. You must have an iPhone! I hate auto complete! If you want to spend some change I like the Pelican cases.
  6. I grew up about 20 minutes from Martin, but never lived there. It's been about ten years, but I don't recall there being any terrible spots to live.

    Parole

If it was just a misdemeanor than there is no limitation on owning or beig near a firearm. Am I missing something?
  8. Not in terms of a threat to us, but theirs has hit the fan.
  9. That seems more logical anyway. If you have helicopters why start at the ground floor? The surprise would be starting on the roof. Doesn't seem too logical that OBL would have heard choppers and not had his gun already though. I find it interesting that BHO would not let us use the intel gathered. What did he have to gain from ruining all that ripe rich intel with another prance about the media? Kinda makes you ask what his motivation for many other things really are.

    Parole

I think the OP was asking if it was legal for the felon to live in a home with guns that don't belong to him. G. Gordon Liddy talked about all the guns his wife owned, but that's my only knowledge of someone being able to do that.
  11. Haiti comes to mind. Things there would be much worse if other nations and nonprofits had not stepped in.
  12. But if noone ever asked the same question twice this forum would have been done February 2007.
  13. It might be that he has several 5 round magazines loaded and is a fast reloader. So what guns have a 5 round magazine?
  14. Why is it that so many people on the left can disregard freedom of information requests, Subpoenas, congressional hearings, supreme court decisions, and requests for birth certificates. Why do we have laws if we can't put morons in jail for ignoring them?
  15. You can legally carry at work or your residence without a HCP. That includes your land seperate from your residence if that is what you are asking.
  16. I have both. If it's for a SHTF cenario (that, of course, will never happen) you might need a little of each depending on the situation. I would probably ask which one should I buy FIRST. Check with the ranges you frequent and ask if penetrators are allowed. The only rifle ranges I know of where it's no allowed is an indoor range for fear of damage to the metal bullet trap and 3 gun shoots involving metal poppers.
  17. This would he another good warning:
  18. The Mark AR glass held up fine. I just need to take the tools to tighten the rings with me to the range. I can't imagine they would make it an inferior build based on the caliber it was designed for. You can actually buy caps for different calibers with the M223 for calculating ballistic drop. You send them the calculated drop at different distances, speed, and bullet weight and they can make custom ballistic drop adjustment knobs for elevation and windage. It's calibrated to 55gr .223.

    CoD: MW3

Nope. Nov. 8th Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer maps hit the Web early - CSMonitor.com
  20. I bought the SPS Tactical in .308. Have not wanted to shell out a bunch of cash for glass until I decide exactly what I need, so I just put a Leupold M223 3-9x40 that I had on an AR. I shot about 40 rounds last weekend at 100 yards and here were my best groups with Federal 150gr soft point ammo from Walmart at 100 yards. I was still sighting the scope in and realized I need some thicker lines at 100 yards to see it well with 9x. I had Federal match ammo in the range bag, but after 40 rounds my shoulder started feeling like mush so I didn't even try them. I also didn't tighten the scope rings well enough because I noticed the rings loosened by the end of the day. Those are both 3 shot groups by the way.
  21. I like Federal, but have had problems with hard primers on the Winchester white box from Walmart.
  22. I was in a Q&A session with the assistant DA in Williamson county. He said he has never prosecuted a citizen for using a firearm to stop or prevent a crime. I can't say all DAs have the same viewpoint, but it does seem logical. Now he did tell a story in another county where the good guy did some bad things to the crime scene and he was prosecuted.
  23. Looks great. Congrats!
  24. It's not a very hot topic on here, but you could use an ASP or Expandable Baton to detain an unarmed perpetrator. No blows to the head, throat, neck or sternum as those would constitute deadly force.
  25. I bet the ACLU stands up for the rights of Muslims and Arabs on this one. I would take the class from him even though I already have a permit.
