  1. Everybody should carry the most capable caliber they are comfortable carrying. If it's a .22 short, but she will actually carry it the. Go for it. My wife is hung up on .38 Spl so she carries 5 rounds of .38. I would rather she carried 10 rounds of .40, but she moved to a .38 from a .380, so we are making progress.
  2. http://www.continentalcarbonic.com/ 615-333-3433 sells dry ice for $0.93 per pound with a 10 pound minimum.
  3. An alternative to the Water Bob is painters plastic from HD. Store the plastic, a zip tie, and a piece of clear plastic hose under each bathroom sink. When the time comes line the tub, fill the plastic, pull all the corners and edges to the middle, put the tube in the center and zip tie tight. When you need water just siphon with the hose. This makes sure your dirty funk is not ingested by anyone and keeps the water from leaking or evaporating. We have a couple of the blue 7 gallon jugs and use food grade 5 gallon buckets since we really don't have space for a drum anywhere. We also save apple juice jugs from the kids and use those. They are between .5 and 1 gallon depending on the sale my wife finds when buying juice. 2 liters work too, but we don't use them as much.

    Body Armor

I saw a guy selling surplus at the Nashville show with front and back plates for $200.
  5. Do they sell across the back holsters like a ninja sword? Nice piece!
  6. At the Nashville show every dealer has a pistol in a holster. Are you telling me they are all empty? No, every dealer carries a loaded gun at the show.....or should I say used to.
  7. That's why I have not gone for the cheapest. I got a spikes stripped lower and the optimum profile FN Spikes middy from Aim for $699. I was still under a grand for an awesome rifle.
  8. Rifle build kits from PSA 16'' Mid-length, Heavy profile, CMV, Chrome-lined, MP Rifle Kit comes complete with everything you need accept a stripped lower for $499. Pickup a PSA lower on sale for $49 and you have a complete rifle for $550. For tools you will need: A set of punches, some electrical or masking tape to protect the finish, a small hammer or mallet for pounding in pins. I would also have a laptop with some YouTube videos ready to go. Checkout ar15.com to get a diagram of everything in your kit so you recognize the different springs and pins mentioned in the video. So easy a caveman can do it!
  9. I bought a sight pusher on TGO for $40. It's not marked and I saw it go up in like the first 90 seconds with an I'll take it. I thought I would use it a bunch, but have not used it at all. I need to order a bunch of night sights to put it to use.
  10. I didn't notice him. I couldnt search for his posts. What kind of stuff was he doing?
  11. Yeah. Snopes busted it. I'm certain similar stories have happened and never been told though.
  12. I can see how Fox would be completely against violence during their fights. It makes total sense.
  13. Nice build. Like hiding the gas block. Looks too cool.
  14. I had an issue with a GSG5 jamming. Sent it back to ATI and they sent it back running like a champ for the last 1000 rounds or so. Had a GSG5 drum mag break this week and just shipped it out today. Sorry to hear you have had trouble. I'm guessing they would give you a refund. They have top notch customer service in my experience.
  15. Certainly is possible. I found her name on a forum post on another site from 2008 saying she was the contact. I initially talked to the sales division and they both said Coke recycles their barrels. Maybe the recycler is the one to talk to.
  16. It is your baby!
  17. It makes sense for the left to be so pissed that a college professor would dare not come from their side of the isle.
  18. I'm certain the shooter is a police or military veteran. Most BG shooters will be more like the school board idiot hat didn't hit his target from 3 feet away and then hit the floor with a negligent discharge. The same tunnel vision going on for you happens for the BG. Just because he has thought and planned out an attack does not mean he is immune from adrenaline. This video intends to prove that shooting at a BG will only get you killed. She shows videos of careless people with guns and never mentions all the people who's lives are save because they had the guts to do the right thing and arm themselves.
  19. The International Ergonomics Association defines ergonomics as follows: Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance. I would say Glock has all of that.
  20. I was at the Barrett factory doing some work for my company and I saw racks and racks of beautiful 50BMG rifles in the warehouse, but a guy followed me around every second and said no tours. It was still pretty neat to just see the warehouse.
  21. I have never owned a Sig, but if Gaston never made the Glock I would certainly consider a Sig.
  22. You can start out with whatever pistol you like, but most people end up with a Glock so just start there.
  23. Cool people get a green dot.
  24. no body edits anymore. Who has a .9 mm pistol?
  25. I bought a Yaesu 880R from a friend at work for $300. I mounted the radio under the seat with the faceplate mounted to a lido arm bracket. Mounting Solutions For Amateur Radio you just back out a seat bolt for the middle seat and tighten it over this bracket. I ran power through a grommet near the break pedal and fished the carpet to have the radio under the driver seat with no wires exposed. I zip tied the speaker to the bracket arm and have amagnet antenna and used a 3M bracket for the mic that sticks to the dash. It's a very clean install no hole (accept for a small one in the grommet) install. I have a Ford F150 quad cab.
