Gongrats..........I have to say I would like to have a little boy myself. Looks like my daughters are just going to have to fill in for that boy. I will be teaching them how to shoot and who knows maybe even hunt.......we will have to see.
-
Glad to hear you found one at a decent price. You want be disappointed. I have one and have found it to be a great gun.
-
True.......I want a Glock as well.
-
I would agree with you and I would have to say you. Both are excellant and I would take either one if my life depended on it. I just can't get over how well they shoot for subcompacts.
-
That is correct......sorry I left out the +10...............I thought that was understood but I guess some places include that in their fees. If you are going to buy more than one gun at a time Gunny's would be the place to buy for our area.
-
I use Gunny's in Maryville...........they charge $25 for the first gun and $5 for every additional gun.......

Thanks guys. I have so much info I don't know wher to start??? I did read in one of the links listed that the CMMG was a good option. I think I will take the advice and not rush into anything..............I think the lower prices are here for a bit.......until SOMEONE breaths a word about gun control!!!!!!

THANKS EVERYONE.............. I LOOK FORWARD TO MAKING NEW FRIENDS!!!

Sorry to seem bias towards the XD but I can say that I am a very much a Glock fan. I just didn't get why the XD grouped better. Let me say again we both shot each others gun several times with the same ammo in each and he was able to group better with mine as well........heck his may have been produced on a late Friday afternoon or something. You can't go wrong buying either gun.............Mine is new as I say so let me get some more rounds down the pipe and we can get together at CCA and try them out at even 25 yards, if you want

OK......I am no pro or gun expert but I can give you real world results........(please see my posted thread of the XD sub-compact vs. G26. I have updated the thread with some more results from the range just tonight. I can also add that a 3rd friend brought his XD sub-compact 40 and I shot it. I seemed to not be as accurate (although when you are shooting against someone you may not try as hard with their gun.....haha.....judt kidding), had more recoil and the ammo costs more. My pick is the XD sub-compact in the 9mm.................shoots as good as my XDM 9mm at 7 yards..........if I only shot at 7 yards I would not keep the XDM. Good luck!

I will be working on mine in the future.............mine is bone stock right now.

So far the Colt 6920 is looking pretty godd to me.................I have a lot more homework to do........
-
UPDATE--Shot tonight and it is no fluke............the XD only proved to be more accurate at 7 yards this time..........my buddy did not want to shoot at 15 yards. Between out 2 guns the XD outperforms. Sub-compact was even grouping almost as good as my XDM at 7 yards. I have to say that I am very impressed............Springfield shoot give me money or something for advertisement.....hahaha

Welcome and I 2nd that......shot tonight at CCA with 2 other friends.

Like the call name and welcome!!!

Thanks man........I will check it out.........

+1 again for the Tarus PT1911......I have one and love it...........when I compare it to my Kimber Pro carry II it is ever bit as accurate and reliable...........the Kimber Pro has an AL frame and has a 4" barrel so it isn't apples to apples but close.

Easy there biker.......I know you are a hardcore biker and all but until you swap over to the darkside and get a HOG you want understand....I didn't until I did........

Hello All, I am starting my in depth research on the AR. It appears to me there are so many configurations, brands, twist rate, etc. that it will take a long while to decide. I would like to get some advice what direction to go in and what to stay away from. I do want to get the best all around bang for the buck.

First off I want it to be known that I am not a die-hard brand specific guy. I just wanted to share some results of a shootout me and a buddy had the other day. I have an XD and my buddy shoots the ole trusty G26 (both new) of which I would both recommend. We shot each others gun with his reloads and my factory ammo. The results were basically identical at 7 yards but when we rolled the paper out to 15 yards the XD won hands down. The pattern was better and with both shot several 5 round clips and the results never changed. I found this hard to believe since the XD has a 3" barrel and the Glock is 3.46" in length. This is just for FYI purposes and not intended to ruffle Glock owner feathers. I have owned several Glocks and will in the future. I just don't understand why the XD holds such better patterns at 15 yards.........anybody know??

Alright.....I am considering buying 9mm PT1911 for paper shooting and to give my XDM a rest. I already own a PT1911 chambered in 45acp and absolutely love it (shoots as well as my Kimber Pro Carry) but it is taking a toll on the ole wallet. Does anyone have one or know someone that does?? I was wondering if it would pattern as well as my XDM............I think I would like the idea of paper shooting more with the 1911 frame over the polymer. Any advice on buying a 1911 chambered in 9mm would be greatly appreciated........
