  1. Sometimes even though the police officers know the law, they still will stop you and advise you to cover up. I was stopped once coming out of a friend's house to my car (50ft away) and an officer was down the street at a trafffic stop or something. He came yelling down the street and when he approached, informed me that 'we shoot people like you' - referrring to open carry. He was way out of bounds. He was shown no disprespect. Moral of the story... officers know the law and sometimes you will find a few that will not support you (most are great about it) and do you really want to argue with them? I repect and appreciate all law enforcement. As in any other profession there are always a few bad apples.
  2. I've been wondering about something like this. Do you have it on a slab or is the floor reinforced? Do you even have to reinforce the floor for that amount of weight?
  3. I love the Old Timer 3 blade my parents bought for me when I was little. I'm afraid to carry it sometimes now because I don't want to lose it.
  4. When Katrina hit the Southern coast how many people traded silver and gold when there was bartering? Toilet paper, jeans, food, and clean water were king! From what I hear gold and silver leave a bitter aftertaste. Hope I didn't just make enemies. You might have a better time buying some guns and trading them later on. Gold and silver over the last half century haven't done real well. The last few years have been great, but beware. The economy is turning around and soon everyone will get complacent and precious metals will TANK! Everyone got complacent and bulked up on real estate thinking it was a great investment. Look at the banks now because of this!
  5. The finish on these is excellent. Just make sure that you get one of the more recent manufactures. The first generation when Springfield picked up the design was not good at all. It would start to rust with high humidity if you used it and didn't clean it immediately. My friend didn't clean his after the range and then pulled it out a few days later and it was covered in a fine layer of rust. They have corrected the problem and this is supposed to be as good finish as a glock's. Mine has never given me any problems.
  6. I have an xd9 that's mint and not used much that I want to sell and add to money for an AR. If you're interested here's my e-mail deafdogdief@juno.com. I can give you a better deal than the stores were offering. I am an individual not a business.
