I doubt they'll even take fingerprints from the can. They will say they have bigger fish to fry than finding someone who may not have even been able to commit the crime. My son had his car broken into and his several hundred $$ stereo stolen. I pointed out a very prominient greasy fingerprint on the trunk lid, at which the cop looked at it and said "Hmm" and moved along. I don't think they do fingerprints much anymore. Probably eats into their budget somehow.

Not to be picky, but wow, that blue text on grey background hurts my eyes. Maybe it's just my monitor, or my color blind eyes. Also, your ad links float over the right column of the table of links. Otherwise it's an excellent resource. Thanks for the hard work!

I saw on the news last night oil was town to 70-something a barrel. I wonder if gas prices will come down to whatever they were the last time oil was that cheap. Anybody remember what price that was? I doubt it. Gas prices rise immediately with oil, but they definitely are slower to go down.

If it's a 401k that can be rolled into an IRA, your broker can fund the IRA with any stock you want, totally tax sheltered. However most 401k's held at your current job cannot be rolled out untill you quit. But if you've got an old one from a previous job, you're good to go.

Wait a minute, where's Ann Coulter? She definitely beats out some of that list.

Also, I think kids these days are wanting to be financially where their parents are. Only thing is, it took the parents 25 or 30 more years to get where they are. The kids want it now. Seeing a candidate who says it is a right to have it all looks enticing.

I think voting is something we all should do, since people fought and died for the right. Now, that said, if people don't know the issues and just go in and Christmas tree the ballot, then they should stay home. I don't care if they have an opinion that differs from mine, but have a definite opinion when you go. My $0.02

I heard a good tip once.. Take everything out of your wallet and photocopy it, front and back of things like credit cards. This way you will remember everything in your wallet and you will have all the numbers to call if it is lost.

My experience has been that banks charge if you don't have an account and the check is not from their bank. This was a bank who'se check it was drawn on, and the check was written to me. I felt like they were holding my money hostage. Oh, I forgot to mention the fact that every time I went in there I had to give fingerprints. Also, an ambarrasment not suffered by account holders. "Just sign up for a new account and you won't have to do that." B.S.

This is why I left Palm Beach County. What's sad is there are many more just like him - Totally Nuts!

I will never open an account with them. I used to work for a company who had their payroll accounts with BOA. On a few occasions, I got a check for gas milage and went to cash it at the BOA. Every time they would try to charge me around $10 just to cash the check. They said it was their standard practise for cashing checks for customers who did not have an account. It's not like IU was trying to cash another bank's check, it was from their bank, and was payable to me. I always got the stink-eye from them when they found out I was not a BOA account holder. They said they would be happy to open me an account and cash the check for free. I said I would never do business with any bank that treats even potential customers like that.

Because of Obama, I aspire to sell crack on the corner. Because of Obama, I aspire to knocking up as many girls as I can and not supporting my children. Because of Obama, I aspire to having as many kids as I can so I can stay at home and live of the government. Because of Obama, I aspire to holding up stores and innocent citizens to pay for my drug habit. Because of Obama, ... Oops, did I say that out loud? Nevermind.

Would you carry to a job interview?
analog_kidd replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Is it just me, or does anyone else see the irony in not being able to carry on Federal property, when it is the Federal Government that came up with the 2nd ammendment? -
And the vandalism done at Dallas BAPTIST University, a Christian College I'm assuming. Those vandals are going straight to Hell. I wouldn't want to be around them in a lightning storm.

That reminds me of the epidode of Weaponology (I think) where they had the rifle inside the fake kitty cat. The bad is supposed to see the kitty, which confuses him because it doen't quite look right, then BANG.

Is that pre-tax or after-tax beer?

OK, so I finally got my plinking rifle, bought a scope and new stock for it, and I love it. Now to finish it off, I need a good magazine for it. I want something that will hold at least 25 rounds. Has anybody had any good experience with anything? any ideas of what to stay away from?

Don't they realize that as long as they are producing milk, they are not becoming food?

Stick with MSR or Katadyne, I think they are the best. This on http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___88102 is the latest one by MSR and is getting pretty good reviews. It pumps really fast, something like 3 liters per minute. If you've ever used a filter you know they pump really slow and your arm will definitely be tired after two liters. This one also filters just about everything. Not sure what filter cartridge replacents cost. My son owns a MSR miniworks and it is also quite nice, but for it's price, I'd spend a few more $$ and get the other one. I currently have a Katadyn. It is their top of the line model, but many years old. Still does a good job. The thing costs around $200 new, but replacement filters are $170, so I figure I might as well buy something new. Will probably get the MSR above. Also think about how many gallons a cartridge can filter before replacing. You'll find some filters that are very econoimical, but will only filter a few 100 gallons. Could be OK if you're only using it a few times a year, or it would be bad if you're doing the AT and will use it every day.

UNVEILED : New look and feel for TGO
analog_kidd replied to TGO David's topic in Feedback and Support
I like it. But then again I'm color blind and I think Red looks like Green adn Purple looks like blue. Can't tell you how many purple things I've bought. But really, I do like it. -
This is truely sad news. Like many others have already said, I too had never met Mars, but I feel like he was a part of my family. I always looked forward to his posts. His wisdom, wit, experiences, philosophies, knowledge all were a key part of what goes on here. While this board will go on, it will never quite be the same without Mars. Mars, may God bless you and your family.

I bought a new rifle last week, and was getting ready to fill out the warranty / registration card, and got to thinking "Do I really want that info out there?" I know Big Brother already has my info from when I made the purchase, but I was wondering how many people actually fill this out, and why or why not.

If you like that, then you'll love this... http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/

Man, that is so sad. Pink Floyd is my all time favorite band. I always said, if I was stranded on an island and could only have one CD to listen too, it would be "The Wall". I guess this will ensure that the band will not get back together again for another album. To Richard: Shine on you crazy diamond!

Yeah, I shoot at ORSA. I just got a membership abut two months ago. Pretty nice place.
