  1. If I had a buddy with one of these cameras set up, I wouldn't even hesitate to punk him. I think he's being messed with.
  2. Can't find the source, but I've heard that more kids die by drowinging in 5 gallon buckets each year than by gun accidents.
  3. I'll tell you why he made this particularly worded speech. His latest poll numbers just came out and he was at 47% approval rate. This is the lowest of any president this far into their term. EVER! He's looking at 2012 and thinking "I won't be able to pull it off".
  4. Notice there is no door below that sign. Ninjas don't need doors.
  5. I heard that the Copenhagen summit going on now is being called CarbonHagen, since all these "we know whats best for you" environmentalists showed up in their private jets, and rode over in hired limos. Meanwhile, the city buses are all making their rounds nearly empty. These idiots have made a carbon footprint the same size as a small country this week, and then are going to preach how you and I need to suck it up and take one for the team.
  6. I heard he was changing his name from Tiger to Cheatah
  7. You know, I had a thought the other day about "Global Warming". I think it's a total bunch of BS and really just about seperating my money from my wallet, but just for the sake of argument let's say there may be some truth to it. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just figure out a way to adapt to a warmer climate? To me, I actually prefer it to be little warmer. Also, crops seem to grow better in a warm climate, wouldn't we be able to feed more people? OK, so the ocean rises a little bit. Big deal, move a little inland or build a sea wall.
  8. Back in the 80's during high school, I worked at K-Mart. They had the Muzak tapes playing all day long. Mostly it was elevator style music, but I could recognize about 50% of the tunes as current rock and roll songs. Funny thing was you could hum along with the song, but not really place where you heard it before. Nowadays, they just play the current top 100 playlists. I guess it's all about playing to your customer base.
  9. I have heard that the "Credit" divisions of car manufacturers are completely different entities than the manufacturer, and that the credit company actually makes more than the manufacturer. Don't know it as fact, but I'd be willing to bet that the mfg got the bailouts and not the credit co.
  10. OK, for sake of discussion lets say she is moving to VA, are there any hoops to jump through to move with a firearm? She wouldn't need to take it to an FFL would she?
  11. Don't know if you care, but they have a fantastic Archery Range too. Two different trails with several places with targets set up. They also have an indoor range, but it is very difficult to use. No FMJ rounds allowed.
  12. Well that sucks!
  13. To be honest, I'm not sure which part of DC she is moving to. She is not currently a gun owner, but I was going to make the recommendation to become one. I can't see her caring enough to go through all the above. Thanks for the info!
  14. I was really saddened to see Half Sack get it. I really liked his character and thought they were getting ready to bring him inside as a member. Who knows, maybe he'll be OK somehow. They did bring back the guy with no fingers after the fire. We waited for weeks to see what happened to him. Speaking of the fire, if "Fingers" made it out alive, how about that Meth cooker guy? Wonder if he'll show up again?
  15. I have a friend that is moving to DC next month. Does anyone know what the law is regarding bringing a handgun into DC if you are relocating? I know it is nearly impossible to buy one if you live there, but if you actually own one and move there, what's the legalities?
  16. I tried burning gasoline in one of my soda can stoves, just to see if it would work instead of alcohol. It does, but I don't recommend it. The flames went way higher than I expected, and there was a ton of soot. Really stinky soot. Do you experience this with your Svea?
  17. That's what I thought. Why would she have gone out ther with the club?
  18. I know what you mean, sometimes the theme song pops in my head when I'm on my bike. Then I pretend I'm Jax and get all bad-ass inside my head. Start thinking about getting tats and sellin' full-autos.
  19. While I do think he's a little melodramatic, he says stuff that really makes me think. And, if only half the stuff he says turns out to be true, I'm scared :poop:less.
  20. We have sworn off BB forever. Ever since taking the Dave Ramsey course, we have gone to a cash-only system. We never use credit cards, ever! Anyway, a few Christmases ago, we went to BB and shelled out nearly $350 cash on an XBox for my son. A week later we decided to not give him the XBox, so we took it back. We wanted our cash, but they wouldn't give it to us. We could get store credit or a check that they would send us in the mail to be recieved in 4 or 5 weeks. That put us way after Christmas, and we wanted to use the $350 for his alternate gift, which could not be purchased at BB. They said it was for my safety, because someone could see me recieve the cash and follow me out to the parking lot and rob me. I told them I could take care of my self and would take the risk. Sorry but it's corporate policy and it's out of our hands. No matter how much complaining and phone calls to corporate, they would not budge. Fortunately, not having the $350 did not break us for Christmas, but for someone with less in savings, it could have been a big problem. Could have meant no presents until the refund come in the mail.
  21. Just playing Devil's Advocate, but do you support everyone else's political goals through your own business? What if they said I'll never go back to Hexhead's since he didn't write letters in support of XYZ. He never hung a banner on his office. I never saw him support my cause on the news.
  22. Was looking for a good online game today and realized there are thousands of them and most seem pretty lame. What are your favorite online games? Was thinking about both quick playing games to waste a few minutes, or games that you keep playing day after day, building points or whatever.
  23. Psst! Hey little girl, I've got a secret to tell you. I'm spending you're future, and when you're all grown up, you'll be my slave.
  24. I vote in every election. I also make sure to study the issues and candidates before entering the polling booth. I usually get a sample ballot and make sure I know everything that is going to be voted on. One of my pet peeves is people who go and vote and don't have a clue who or what they are voting for. When I strike up a conversation and someone says "I don't know who I'm voting for as President, guess I'll figure it out when I get there" it makes my blood boil. If you can't make an intelligent, informed decision, then do us all a favor and just stay home!
