It's surprizing to me, but a lot of the ones I found have ended with me. I think I started finding and logging them about 4 years ago, and most just seem to end with me. I'm the last entry they ever get logged with. I'm always eager to see where they go, so I make sure to put them back into circulation right away. This tells me that the bills don't get logged in by other people because either: 1. People just aren't observant and don't see the stamps on the bill. 2. People are skeptical and don't log them in. 3. Banks get them, see that they are defaced and send them back to the Reserve to be destroyed. 4. People just horde them and don't circulate them. Doubtful with Ones, though. Anyway, I'm really surprized it hasn't caught on more.

Anybody ever find Dollar bills with the Where's George stamps on them? There is a web site, www.wheresgeorge.com , where you can register the unique serial number on a dollar bill, then when other people find it, they can visit the same site and log in where they found it. It's kind of a neat thing to do. You can track all the places the bill has traveled. I've never registered one myself, but I have found several and logged them in to the web site.

Funny, but the older I get, it seems the slower I drive. I don't intentionally slow down, and I used to drive really fast when I was younger. But, now I catch myself not even driving the speed limit. Can't tell you how many times I've spotted a cop at the last minute, and hit the brakes then look down at the speedometer only to see I was already doing 5 under. My wife calls me Mr. Magoo. She on the other hand, I kiddingly call her Mario, which is a combination of Mario Andretti and Mario Kart. Guess I'm just not that in a hurry to get anywhere these days.

Pretty good episode. I thought it was a little anti-climatic, but it's going to set up some great tension for next season. I had my suspicions about Romeo since the beginning. Something about his partner just didn't seem all cartel-ish. I think it may nave been that episode where he rode in with all his gang and saved the day for Jax. He said he knew "everything". Seemed a little fishy to me. I thought it was cool at the ending how the scene morphed into the old picture we've been seeing of Gemma and John.

I found an Email Newsroom link at the bottom of their homepage. Just sent a synopsis and link to Knox News. We'll see what happens.

3 Squirrels in my attic! I need some advice.
analog_kidd replied to Will Carry's topic in General Chat
If you shoot it with the BB gun, it may kill it, but it will jump and squirm for several minutes, and probably end up in an area of your attic that you won't be able to get to, then you'll have another problem. Same goes for poison. It will find a quiet place die. The trap is the best bet. You can get them inexpensively, or look for online instructions for building your own. If you're bound and determined to put it out of your misery, do it after you trap it. BTW, I once built a rat trap using a 5 gallon bucket with enough water to drown it, but not enough for it to swim out, then put a towel over the top with pnut butter on it. It'll climb onto the towel, fall in and drown. Of course in your attic it could knock over and make another mess. -

Gun-themed purse delays teen flier - CNN.com

While we're at it let's not wear a NASCAR hat, cause I'm pretty sure the fuel in the race car is explosive, and that Budweiser shirt is a no-go because no carry-on liquids are allowed. That Nike Swoosh on your shoes looks a little sharp, and I think that the SwissGear logo on your laptop pack .looks like one of those ninja stars. -
Since you live in Oak Ridge, you might consider TN Bank. They are a great local bank. I've been using them for the 13 years I've lived here. They all know me by name, take time to talk to me, and bend over backwards to serve me. They have all the features I need, like online banking, Visa Debit, etc. Plus, I've done all the mortgages for my house and rentals through them and couldn't be happier. Best of all, no postings on their doors.

Finally got aroud to watching this week's episode, even though I read the spoliers here earlier in the week. There should be a one week no spoiler rule. Anyway couple of thoughts I had. I was glad Rick took care of business at the end. If nothing else, it shows that they are committed to their belief that Walkers are not people. It's easy to shoot one that you don't know, but when it's a family member, it is much harder. I always saw Hirshel's point, misguided as it is. I guess now there really is no reason for them to stick around the farm. Surely there has to be another farm around that has been abandoned that they could occupy. I know it was mentioned that another farm may be overrun by Walkers, but I don't buy that. It could easily be cleaned up. I've been thinking all along they needed to find their own place. They need to move on. They have definitely overstayed their welcome. Fort Benning is what, a day's drive away? Go see what there is there. It's either a safe haven, or run over like the CDC. If its a safe haven, then life is good, the baby is safe, life can go on. If it's not safe, then they start a search for a new place to make their stand. I also thought it was interesting that it was Otis that was bringing in the Walkers, and it was certainly him that brought in the girl. If he had not been killed by Shane, Otis would have been able to save them a lot of time and anguish.

If this is true, and there are court officers that kept silent, then we need to find out who kept silent, and have them all disbarred! To me they are all accomplices.

Weren't these criminals found guilty by 12 jurors? That should be the deciding factor. Also, I would hope that drug testing for all judges is something that would come out of this.

Arrgh. I got a couple of calls from the same area code today. I called it back and got the "We'll add your number to our do not call registry" message. I hope I dindn't get added to the "We got a live one" database instead. I like MacGyver's tip for the tone at the beginning of the message. I'll definitely give that a try. As far as faking a caller ID, it's legal, common and easy. Google Voice uses it to display the GV number when you place a call from your cell or landline using it. There are a ton of websites that allow you to do it for free. Just Google "Caller ID Spoofing" and you'll see a bunch of pages. Most of them have a field to put your number, the number you want to call and what you want the caller ID displayed as. Once you hit go, your phone will ring, when you answer it, the call is placed on your behalf and uses the fake caller ID.

Take it with agrain of salt, but Rush Limbaugh today said it was because his distric lines were redrawn, making it very difficult for him to win a re-election.

This seems to be a common thing among non-mainstream (i.e. not ABC, NBC, etc.) stations. They have two mini seasons each year, separated by a few months. Used to be you could count on new shows starting in the fall, and reruns starting in the spring. I always think that the stations that split them up are trying to get viewers hooked during the rerun months. I know that USA and TNT are fond of this method.

Those wacky guys over at the BATFE are at it again. Now they have classified Chore Boy Pot scrubbing pads as NFA. Turns out you can use the pads, along with insulation, to replace the sound dampening material in a silencer. If you already own a silencer, having a stockpile of these pads gould get you in a lot of trouble if the BATFE decides to check up on you. Of course a "stockpile" is not defined, it could be more than one. ATF classifies Chore Boy pot scrubber pads NFA firearms - National gun rights | Examiner.com

The lighter option is definitely better for my eyes. The bolding between read and unread posts is much better defined. One thing I did notice is that when inside a category, the Forum Tools pulldown has a white on light grey color pair for highlighted item. On my screen it is so similar, you can't read the link. Not a big deal since it is only the one highlighted item on the list, but you might want to put it on your look at list. It also happens on the Quick Navigation pulldown.

On text that is unreadable with the current color scheme, like blue on black, you can highlight the text and it will make it something that is easier to read. Just drag your mouse across the text while holding the left-button down. Not a perfect solution, but it will enable you to read the posts.

Convincing wife to get HCP
analog_kidd replied to UncleJak's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
My wife had concerns about not being able to pass the test too. She kept saying she didn't think she'd be good enough to pass. I called the instructor for the class I had her signed up for and asked them to explain exactly what theri requirements were for the shooting portion of the test. I got specs on the exact target, and what counted for a hit, and the number of shots to take, and at what distances. Then I went out and got some of those exact targets, took her to the range and ran thru the test exactly as it would be presented to her. She had no problems at the range, saw how easy it was going to be, and had great confidence after that. She ended up with a perfect score on her shooting test. -
Most browsers have a way to increase the size of a website's text and graphics. On Internet Explorer, it's in the bottom right corner. You'll probably see it saying "100%". Pull that down and select whatever ratio you like. I also have a little trouble seeing the white on black text. Making my browser view 125% seems to help.

I used 3/4 MDF on my workshop bench. I don't use this bench for my reloading, just workshop projects. One thnig I did with mine is not screw down the MDF to the bench. This way I can slide out the top a bit and have a place to use for clamping things and push it back when done. Works for me, your mileage may differ. Of course I rarely get to see my bench top. It is a flat surface and I have a bad habit of piling things up on flat surfaces

Convincing wife to get HCP
analog_kidd replied to UncleJak's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
My wife had no intrest in guns - until I took her shooting. She had no intrest in getting her HCP - until shooting became her hobby. She now owns several guns, has her permit and carries daily. Start slow. Get her comfortable with handling a gun. Make it fun for her. Get a long barreled .22 pistol and she'll be a good shot. Don't start off with a 2.5" long .380 ultraconcealable that requires you to be 5 feet away to hit a target. If she can't shoot reasonably well right away, she'll lose all intrest and never want to do it again. -
That is what I was thinking, except I'd make the label say somthing like "May prevent dehydration, except in certain cases of Parliment". Product lables can be a great source of advertisement, and might also be a great source of embarassment for politicians.
