  1. Thanks! I'll be spending more time at the range now. :pleased:
  2. Thank you, Thank you! :woohoo:
  3. Thank you!
  4. My name is Linda, and while not exactly 'new', I've been away from the forum for so long that I feel new. I'm currently waiting for my HCP to arrive so that I can carry the newest member of my ballistic family (Sig P238 Nitron). I also have a .40 cal P229 (which was my 'first-born') for around-the-house defense.   I'm a recently retired Correctional Lieutenant, and have carried since vested (5 years of service) Correctional Officers were given that right by the state some years ago. I also carried on the job when assigned to Inmate Transportation, so it feels pretty normal for me to have a firearm strapped on. I will carry until the day I die, as the world I grew up in isn't the world we live in now. In addition, no one works in any version or level of Law Enforcement without making enemies among the pin-head crowd, and some of those I've supervised over the years have promised me a 'visit' some day. How nice.   This is a nice forum, and it's good to be back. :pleased:
  5. Stone River (I think that's the name of it; on Hobson Pike past Long Hunter Park), and On Target in Murfreesboro. Free on Tuesdays there for women also.
  6. An absolutely wonderful tool, and works as advertised.
  7. Purse? What's a purse? Like you, I really like it because of the extra places for ID and cell phone.
  8. I'm a state Correctional Officer (Lt.), and already authorized by law to carry anywhere in the state once vested. Correctional Officers see thousands of convicted felons during our careers, but on the outside, released felons are far more likely to remember us than we are to remember them because there are fewer of us to remember. All a Correctional Officer has to do to make an enemy is to do her/his job. I bought and carry my beloved Sig P229 .40 so that I at least have a fighting chance, at home or in public.
  9. I carry a Sig P229 .40 cal in a leather fanny pack.
