My name is Linda, and while not exactly 'new', I've been away from the forum for so long that I feel new. I'm currently waiting for my HCP to arrive so that I can carry the newest member of my ballistic family (Sig P238 Nitron). I also have a .40 cal P229 (which was my 'first-born') for around-the-house defense.
I'm a recently retired Correctional Lieutenant, and have carried since vested (5 years of service) Correctional Officers were given that right by the state some years ago. I also carried on the job when assigned to Inmate Transportation, so it feels pretty normal for me to have a firearm strapped on. I will carry until the day I die, as the world I grew up in isn't the world we live in now. In addition, no one works in any version or level of Law Enforcement without making enemies among the pin-head crowd, and some of those I've supervised over the years have promised me a 'visit' some day. How nice.
This is a nice forum, and it's good to be back. :pleased:
