  1. I'd like to know where they're coming from to map out what else I'd need. I don't currently own an AR or have the spare parts needed to assemble this one. Will this company also have the rest of the parts needed to complete the build? I can't see them making lowers only..... Eh, maybe I'm just being a noob and cramping the "cool lower" thing for you build vets.....
  2. Eh, I'll watch it. I liked Paranormal Activity and I've seen other movies with far more silly plots. I don't buy into the premise, but it looks entertaining enough for something to do. Plus it may bring my wife around to the idea of that steel wall over every hole in the house idea I've been wanting a loan for..... I do hope it shows some off the wall stuff taking place in the streets before it cuts to the house for an hour and a half.
  3. It looks like if everyone holds firm we'll hit that 100 mark no problem!
  4. Maybe we should have a logo/graphic contest? Maybe a poll to see what the majority does/doesn't like?
  5. It depends on the time frame for me. If this falls in a month or two I may be able to pick one up, if it falls in a week or two... No can do. I'd also like to see one as well. I've never built an AR platform (or any other) but a picture would help me square the deal with the wife. So are we sending cash in or is it being collected? Ill have a booth at the Gun Show in Knoxville in may. I can take up cash and give receipts to those in this area if it would help smooth things along. That way I can be there all weekend for folks to drop by and then the head honcho can pick up the cash from me..... You guys may have all that worked out already.....
  6. I'm not familiar with the " persuader" model, but there are two tactical mossberg 500s on the Knoxville Gun Trader Facebook page. One is strictly pistol grip while the other is collapsible stock and heat shielded.... IDK if either are similar to what you'd like...
  7. It looks like a women's Billy Blanks class to me. Has anyone told them that then people of the word are laughing at them? What's with the guy holding his buddy so he can run parallel to the ground and kick a ring of people? It's bad Kung fu choreography.... Did that guy say victory depends on courage and resourcefulness? I'm pretty sure firepower might play a roll.... I think we should make an example out of them. Crush them in such a way it's embarrassing to their forces and humiliate KJU. Put him on a leash and have him eat kibble. It seems like people have forgotten the power of the U.S. Now if we could get our finances in order to fund our military. It worries me to think what might happen if the U.S. has to drop it defense budget drastically....
  8. Sending pictures to yourself is a great idea! They didn't know the value of half the stuff in the house. They got the cheaper, newer looking jewelry, but left the older more expensive stuff. Left diamond earrings and real gold necklaces but got silver plated necklaces? They even left a pair of shoes in the house and a taken pregnancy test on the counter! Idiots! It really seems that they had come in more than once. We feel like they broke in one day, discovered the safe, then came back. I didn't know the safe would be that easy to get into! We did file a complete police report. It happened a couple days ago and have heard zilch about it since. Something else that's weird is my M.I.L. Had a dream this had happened, that's why she had went back that preticular day. She had a dream someone had stolen all this stuff and seen someone hiding under her dining room table. When she got there, they were gone, but the shoes were under the table.
  9. We will definitely be checking pawn shops anywhere near the area. Everything about this points to younge stupid people. They tried to break into the safe by knocking off the keypad.... Idiots. It may a while before they even get to whats inside! Lol
  10. I was trying to think of a way to flip that! Maybe powder coat them black, install a rail on the handle, maybe make them out refurbished polymer from a 30 round mag. Lol Thanks rugerla1 !
  11. *raises fist* He'll yeah! I might have to look into this show, sound like there will be some action goins on!
  12. Oh, we would MUCH rather hear about it before the local law enforcement! Lol
  13. Lol Yeah, there's one in every family! We're looking into it, but they're so ate up now I doubt they'd have the muscle. After years of pill addiction, they're almost immobile.... Still never know though! I appreciate it. I know there were 3-4 Colt Woodsmans and a Colt Marksman in there too! I thought about making the trip out to Memphis for the show myself, I'm just afraid I won't make any money and that's a drive! I went to a gun show in Kingsport in January I believe, and went the the hole $80. I guess knives don't sell like guns. Lol
  14. Ah, I wasn't sure how that worked. They were all given to to her, and when they were they said they had some involvement with police. I thought she said she had to register them to receive them from her dad in N.C. I have no idea when it came to that stuff, but they did turn over all the numbers. Now we play the waiting game.... Yeah, the coach gun, medals, and urn are the worst things. Most were guns her dad had just traded for over the years, but still.... Thanks for the tip! When I started reading it, I thought that was him for sure! It was even a box urn and everything! I guess this happens more often than we thought, because the inscribed name didn't match our man. What are people thinking?
  15. Awesome! It's always good to hear some good news!
  16. Yeah, that's what we're figuring. She had been away a couple days, so we think they made multiple trips. They even knew to bring a dolly for the safe! I'll keep y'all posted. All the firearms were registered to her and we had a list with every number on it! I hope someone tries to pawn one!

  18. Not sure if this goes here, but my mother in law had her trailer broken into this past week. Among other things they took her entire gun safe. This thing was huge. 3ft wide and 2ft deep. They just ripped the whole thing up. Inside we're about 30 guns, war medals, all kinds of stuff. A lot were hunting rifles, some were pistols, 3 were M1 Carbines, and one was a coach gun that had been in the family for at least 3 generations. It belonged to a decorated vet that died saving his kids from their burning house, its sentimental.... The most disturbing thing was a box shaped urn containing my father in law's ashes.... Who needs this? Anyway, just giving everyone a heads up. Any help would be appreciated, just keep an eye out for anyone that's acquired a lot of older guns recently....
  19. I think if anyone really wants to commit suicide, they'll do it. I know a guy that took a bunch of pain pills to end it all. Then he called a bunch of people and told them. Of course within so many minutes the cops were there and he lives. Mostly attention.... I did see on Yahoo news two Belgian brothers that did the hospital assisted suicide bit. They were ill with something and were told they were going blind and wouldn't be able to see each other ever again. They called the family into the room, said goodbye, held hands, then drifted off into eternal slumber.... There are different reasons for each case. My friend is the 99% and the brothers are the 1%
  20. I know I have rights as an American, and that's what you guys are protecting, I just feel I didn't do my part. If I had felt I never wanted to enlist, it would be a different story. I just feel I had what it took, I had the mentality, and then just backed out. It like I was given a "gift" I didn't use. Plus I always heard it mean more to you if you've fought for it. I have tons of friends that have served and are serving. They tell me the same stuff, maybe I'm just weird! I just feel if I were speaking up about my rights and someone said, " what did you do to for these rights?" I should have been able to say I've killed or been at risk of being killed to defend them and give them to others. I don't feel everyone should enlist to have them, I just feel I should have done what I could when I had the chance. This may be coming of odd or more difficult than it is....
  21. I hadn't broke one in a while until tonight! I was rushing and didn't heat the oil enough. It felt warm, but it must have been colder on the bottom. As soon as I heard the "pop" I instantly thought of you.... Lol At least my hammon was coming through... I hear it doesn't show well on 1095....
  22. I heard a sound like a .22 one night. My friend and I looked at each other and heard a second shot. We thought nothing of it until the next day. My wife asked if we had seen the cops or heard anything suspicious. When I told her about the gun shots, her jaw dropped. Some young guy that lived behind us committed suicide. It was over some girl. Women.... The weird thing was I seen them the night they broke up. She was walking in front of my house when the dude drove by and swerved into her. If she hadn't hit the ditch it might have been the end of her. Like an idiot I was walking over to protect the chick and the guy took off and no one had even knew I was there...... I couldn't figure out what the second shot was? I heard sometimes people's hand tighten up, or maybe his finger was on the trigger when he dropped... I don't know.... Anyway, I hope your story has a happier ending.... GL
  23. Sorry to hear that man, good luck. I hope this situation turns out to he a blessing in disguise.
  24. Spots, if you don't mind me asking, what setup do you have for long range and what distance does it achieve? I was trying to read into it, but I have to much stuff bouncing around in my head to nail down which frequency is best and which model has the longest distance. I start reading that stuff and eventually I just exit out, start over later.....
  25. Thats what I was thinking. If 10 to 20 people show, one gunman/citizen would be about the best we could hope for. The main goal is to get people out of the "I can shoot that guy without getting shot, without shooting anyone else, and be a hero mentality." I hope it turns out that way, but from what I've seen/read it would be a lot quicker, more violent and more messy. I don't want to discourage anyone from carrying everywhere as I think we all should, but I think realizing the truth in such a situation is necessary. I know a lot of people that can get a nice group standing still without pressure. I want people to realize it won't be the same or that easy. Now people might say " I know it will be harder" but from my conversations with a few people, they may not. Even if they know that it will be different, how do they practice differently. If they don't practice hitting moving targets from cover, how do they expect to hit a moving target with little chance of being hit? I just wanted people to think outside the box a tad, have some fun, and may some of us (including me) could learn a little something for cheap. I'd love to go to one of these tactical pistol seminars but I can't afford $450!
