If you are going to pony up for a suppressor or you already have a suppressor that can handle 300BO that is my suggestion. If you are only going to shoot supersonics I wouldn't bother with 300BO. If you are primarily shooting indoors at 25y I would honestly just stick with 5.56, not worth the ammo cost to punch a different size hole in the paper.

As for buffers you can use a standard carbine buffer tube unless you are looking at some of the specialized collapsible braces that use a proprietary buffer system. Some other component suggestions Triggers - Larue is your best bang for the buck. under $100 gets you a fantastic trigger, you can spend 2x and get a Geissele but from what I have shot you aren't going to get 2x the performance. Under that there are plenty of polished mil-spec triggers out there, I think the ALG ACT is a pretty common choice but the price is close enough to the Larue that I would just start there Charging Handle - Radian Raptor series all day, pick if you want the polymer tabs or aluminum and go from there. Aero Breach series is nice too just have more experience with the Radian. Safety Selector - Radian Talon ambi setup is a solid option Bolt Catch - the Geissele maritime bolt catch is a solid upgrade for ~$25 They make a matching mag release as well if you want to get real matchy on your build.

you don't see many offset mounts for the RMS-C footprint optics. Typically use RMR or DPP footprints for rifle backups. Might have some luck with a footprint adapter that would allow you to use an RMR offset mount but would be another component to potentially fail if you're looking for something super stable.

how does 300 BLK do against hogs under 100 yards? Looking to go back to TX this fall for some pigs and was planning on running my 10.5" 300 gun but if I HAD to build an AR10 I guess I could make that work as well.

I am going to second the benchmade bugout as a good lightweight option. It disappears in my pocket and is one of my go to options in the summer. If you want something a little larger I would look at the spyderco para lightweight as a good option.

Can't second the chair logic here any harder. When I first started WFH I am ashamed to admit how long I worked on a folding table using an extra dining room chair. My back kept hurting and eventually pulled the trigger on a decent steelcase chair and I have never regretted a single dollar of that expense.

if you're asking for height I assume you are doing a decent amount of document work. I have worked with a lot of folks who have their monitor on a mount that allows it to be flipped 90 degrees and they have all the height they need. I have a cheapo sceptre 32" curved monitor at my home setup and it's not a bad setup, not a fancy gaming monitor but works for a home office setup

I would suggest CATs as well based on everything I have seen those and SOF-Ts seem to be the choices and looking at "Pros" the CAT seems to be the standard. I got a set of bibs from Alaska HardGear (Duluth Trading Brand) and I wore them playing out in the snow with the kids last year and I was sweating. I would suggest if you know what you want from a basic standpoint e.g. barrel length, gas length, etc. you can probably get a complete upper from Aero or BCM and put together a lower with a decent trigger like a LaRue and have yourself a might fine blaster that is exactly what you want. Anytime I have bought an AR with the intent of "upgrading" it to what I really wanted all along it ends up costing more time and money than if I would have just done it right the first time

I carry a 365XL with the 365 grip module with the flush 10rd magazine. This allows for a pretty good grip with my hand and much better concealment than the longer frame on the XL. During winter when I usually have a jacket I will throw a 12rd mag in there. I honestly don't care at all about aesthetics when it comes to my carry guns, the available options provided by using the normal 365 grip module is worth it for me over the "cleaner" look of the XL grip. I also carry a small sling bag with me everywhere I go and have a 15 rd mag in there. If it comes down to needing more than 11/13 rds in a real world scenario the last thing I am going to be concerned with is how goofy my pistol looks with the 15rd extendo mag sticking out of the grip.
