Agree 100%, you can train as long as you want and there is still no way to guarantee how you will react in a situation until it happens. Could this have been a "cleaner", "safer", or more textbook altercation, we can all agree YES. But the two women fought and won, another bad guy locked up and hopefully a message to others like him that not all citizens are sheep.

How would this work if the ATF were to change the ruling on this? It is my understanding that these opinion letters can go back and forth pretty easily, if you are the owner of one of these are you immediately in violation if they change their mind?

I know On Target in Murfreesboro had maybe 6 of these big cans in there for sale the other day if someone is really looking for a DIY project.

Man I didn't think this thread would turn into a 2 page debate. I honestly see both of sides of the story here, I do think as firearm enthusiasts we have an unspoken obligation to help out our LGS when possible. However, if I save money by purchasing my firearms through an internet dealer and utilize the savings to help the LGS on the transfer, ammo, smith work, impulse purchases, range time if possible, etc I think everybody wins. At the end of the day what the shop charges to do transfers is up to them, if their revenue is not inline with their expenses that is on them. Perhaps they are trying to use a low transfer fee to acquire long term customers. I simply wanted to know which LGS had the most competitive rates, as a consumer I see nothing wrong with this practice.

Does anyone know of a Nashville area FFL that charges per 4473 rather than per item? Looking to stockpile some lowers on the cheap.

Everything but the PMR-30 doesn't surprise me a whole lot. My only thought is if that includes total transactions there is likely the same gun moving multiple times on gunbroken based on the limited availability and opportunity for resell profit.

I called and checked on mine and had the check a week later. The same thing happened when I got my rebate on my M&P a few years ago, I called and ended up getting the rebate mailed to me twice.

They should send the guy who has it now the next person's mailing address and a label to cut down on some time and cost for them. The DB barrel nut tool passaround.

motion activated sprinklers could work, been thinking about doing this in the garden for rabbits.

Why would you be at odds with it?

Those are neat little knives with a lot of workmanship built into a small package. For the average consumer Spyderco makes one of similar form as well.

I have also toyed with the idea of using those big magnets and mounting one over a door frame of a closet, would be out of reach for our kids for a while and super accessible. Can't imagine many folks that break in would think to look above the door inside a closet, but a small pistol safe would be easy grab and go bait.

I use a sentry bio safe that also has the button option. I had an earlier version of the gun vault and it was horribly unreliable.

We do have two small children and my wife does not carry so the likelihood of her being armed in the house is almost 0

For those who have a multi level home do you have a weapon on both floors in a quick access location? We have a bedside pistol in a biometric safe and I am thinking of doing a similar thing on the ground level as well. For those who have done it is it 100% the exact same setup and if no why?

I could be wrong, but I believe the matriarch has a smaller blade?

I recently picked up one of the Sentry biometric pistol safes and I have been really happy with it. https://www.amazon.com/Sentry-Biometric-Access-Pistol-QAP1BE/dp/B00EXQW672/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494013027&sr=8-1&keywords=biometric+gun+safe

How do you know when it's overscoped?
FrankD replied to Sam1's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I had that same BB gun, it was accurate to at least 2x as far as that telescope could see. -
I have a reciprocating side charger from 2VetsArms. It is my only AR so no real learning curve vs a typical style. I had some gas tuning issues at first, but once they reluctantly fixed the issue it has been fine. It is unique, I will probably build up a standard upper to have on hand though.

I haven't seen a minimag on a shelf for a long time, refreshing to hear it is coming back.

What's in your pocket most often?
FrankD replied to Handsome Rob's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Usually a CRK Small Sebenza Insingo, or a Spyderco SuperBlue Caly 3.5 however on the weekends I switch it up. -
I have two 597s and the older one has had some extractor issues both seem to work better with 7-8 rounds in the mags. One VQ extractor later and the older one is good to go for another couple years.

I guess if you only wanted one caliber in the house and you already had a .380 pocket gun this would make some sense? I can't think of any other reason I would buy this over the 9mm

inhad heard mixed things about em and since I got it at a close out deal so they could bring in the new model I figured I would take a chance. So far they have been fairly responsive and didn't want me to mess with it at all once I told them the issues. Ups has been closed since Friday so I haven't shipped it back yet, but I'll keep y'all updated on what happens and hopefully a revised range report
