  1. I have done it a couple of times (not prolonged just saw a bass jump near me and rode over for couple casts. The issue is the low speed control, even with F/N/R controls on the newer ones they still are not fun at low speed. There also isn't a whole lot of room for gear and anchoring can be a PITA dragging stuff out from whatever compartment you have it shoved into. If i was going to get a boat for the sole purpose of fishing I would look at either a kayak or one of those little "bass buggies" or whatever and a trailer with a good winch. At that weight you could get a small electric winch and pull either up onto a trailer pretty easy.
  2. I'm afraid that in 15-20 years from now we will be looking back talking about $400 complete ARs and $10 30rd mags.
  3. The good news is that with E-File form 1s getting turned around in a matter of weeks the wait isn't so bad for an SBR. Doesn't solve the problem of paying $200 for an official stock on your 10.5" pistol, nor does it make it any easier to carry what was a pistol across state lines.
  4. This has been the exact reason I have not ditched my LCP. Sure there may be some 9mm pistols that are "similar" in size, but I have not run across any that are small enough to be considered a replacement for the ultra concealability of the LCP.
  5. That XM-18 is about to snap at any moment. Please send it my way so you don't get hurt when it does.
  6. Are you breaking the actual clips or ripping out the screws from the scales? I have been carrying spyderco almost exclusively for around 20 years and I have bent many clips but never actually broken one. Are these wire clips or the full metal ones?
  7. I have used the protected 123 alternatives from a guy on candlepowerforums for a couple years now with no issues. I use eneloops for my AA and AAA lights. I do keep my surefire primary 123s in my weapon lights just in case.
  8. I tried the Old Forrester 1920 the other night and it was much better than my usual very old barton BiB.
  9. I was just looking at this optic as a potential addition to my S&W Shield 9MM. hows the PPS compare the shield 1.0?
  10. firestik used to make mounts that went into a hood screw up by the windshield. I had one on my old dodge and it wasn't bad at all, allowed me to not add any holes and run the antenna wire straight through the door.
  11. I doubt many people would notice that you have both. The folks that do likely would be carry conscious as well.
  12. Welcome and nice job on the Podcast!
  13. My strawberries aren’t even close to getting anything yet, I do have a couple small green tomatoes working though!
  14. I used a karcher gas powered with a 5HP Honda engine on it for years that would always start when I needed it to and would blow the paint off your car if you weren’t careful. It was large and probably overkill for me and the average user. That unit is still working (10+ years) at my parents house, and I have purchased a sunjoe electric unit that works OK and doesn’t have the upkeep of the larger. If you don’t need >2300 PSI I would stick with electric, if you need more than that I would look into renting or getting a decent used one off craigslist
  15. I used to have a firestik mount that went between the hood and fender. Worked great and just put it opposite of the radio antenna and nobody really knew.
  16. Agreed, that’s why you should buy it and prove to me that I don’t need to talk myself out of it a couple times a year.
  17. Sounds like you need to get a rohrbaugh r9.
  18. I ordered a mag holster from a seller with the handle "gunholsters" for my LCP and my shield 9mm. The LCP was great and the shield was super tight, they shipped me a replacement in a matter of days. great CS from those folks.
  19. need at least one .22LR to use as a loaner for first time shooters.
  20. Got about 45 minutes in and then got sidetracked when you started talking about Jared Reston and had to watch his interview. Glad to see you guys still have things to talk about after episode 1!
  21. I would think you would be lucky to get $250 with the laser and $175 without it. I know I was contemplating selling mine with all my .380 ammo to fund a single stack 9mm but I don't think I would get much and you can't beat it for deep concealment.
  22. We have both the arlo pro and simplisafe system in our house. Simplisafe is a monitored alarm system, when/if something were to go off help will be dispatched and I am alerted. The arlo is simply an alert for me but won't do much to get help there if I do not see the activity. IMHO a monitored system is a better safety mechanism since it does contact help, arlo is good for seeing who is at your door or what time your neighbor went to work. Long story short is I recommend both, but if I only had one it would Simplisafe.
  23. Just finished it up this morning, great job guys looking forward to the next one
  24. I’ll take that micro pelican case and magpul rail!
