  1. firestik used to make mounts that went into a hood screw up by the windshield. I had one on my old dodge and it wasn't bad at all, allowed me to not add any holes and run the antenna wire straight through the door.
  2. I doubt many people would notice that you have both. The folks that do likely would be carry conscious as well.
  3. Welcome and nice job on the Podcast!
  4. My strawberries aren’t even close to getting anything yet, I do have a couple small green tomatoes working though!
  5. I used a karcher gas powered with a 5HP Honda engine on it for years that would always start when I needed it to and would blow the paint off your car if you weren’t careful. It was large and probably overkill for me and the average user. That unit is still working (10+ years) at my parents house, and I have purchased a sunjoe electric unit that works OK and doesn’t have the upkeep of the larger. If you don’t need >2300 PSI I would stick with electric, if you need more than that I would look into renting or getting a decent used one off craigslist
  6. I used to have a firestik mount that went between the hood and fender. Worked great and just put it opposite of the radio antenna and nobody really knew.
  7. Agreed, that’s why you should buy it and prove to me that I don’t need to talk myself out of it a couple times a year.
  8. Sounds like you need to get a rohrbaugh r9.
  9. I ordered a mag holster from a seller with the handle "gunholsters" for my LCP and my shield 9mm. The LCP was great and the shield was super tight, they shipped me a replacement in a matter of days. great CS from those folks.
  10. need at least one .22LR to use as a loaner for first time shooters.
  11. Got about 45 minutes in and then got sidetracked when you started talking about Jared Reston and had to watch his interview. Glad to see you guys still have things to talk about after episode 1!
  12. I would think you would be lucky to get $250 with the laser and $175 without it. I know I was contemplating selling mine with all my .380 ammo to fund a single stack 9mm but I don't think I would get much and you can't beat it for deep concealment.
  13. We have both the arlo pro and simplisafe system in our house. Simplisafe is a monitored alarm system, when/if something were to go off help will be dispatched and I am alerted. The arlo is simply an alert for me but won't do much to get help there if I do not see the activity. IMHO a monitored system is a better safety mechanism since it does contact help, arlo is good for seeing who is at your door or what time your neighbor went to work. Long story short is I recommend both, but if I only had one it would Simplisafe.
  14. Just finished it up this morning, great job guys looking forward to the next one
  15. I’ll take that micro pelican case and magpul rail!
  16. Agree 100%, you can train as long as you want and there is still no way to guarantee how you will react in a situation until it happens. Could this have been a "cleaner", "safer", or more textbook altercation, we can all agree YES. But the two women fought and won, another bad guy locked up and hopefully a message to others like him that not all citizens are sheep.
  17. How would this work if the ATF were to change the ruling on this? It is my understanding that these opinion letters can go back and forth pretty easily, if you are the owner of one of these are you immediately in violation if they change their mind?
  18. I know On Target in Murfreesboro had maybe 6 of these big cans in there for sale the other day if someone is really looking for a DIY project.
  19. Man I didn't think this thread would turn into a 2 page debate. I honestly see both of sides of the story here, I do think as firearm enthusiasts we have an unspoken obligation to help out our LGS when possible. However, if I save money by purchasing my firearms through an internet dealer and utilize the savings to help the LGS on the transfer, ammo, smith work, impulse purchases, range time if possible, etc I think everybody wins. At the end of the day what the shop charges to do transfers is up to them, if their revenue is not inline with their expenses that is on them. Perhaps they are trying to use a low transfer fee to acquire long term customers. I simply wanted to know which LGS had the most competitive rates, as a consumer I see nothing wrong with this practice.
  20. Does anyone know of a Nashville area FFL that charges per 4473 rather than per item? Looking to stockpile some lowers on the cheap.
  21. Everything but the PMR-30 doesn't surprise me a whole lot. My only thought is if that includes total transactions there is likely the same gun moving multiple times on gunbroken based on the limited availability and opportunity for resell profit.
  22. I called and checked on mine and had the check a week later. The same thing happened when I got my rebate on my M&P a few years ago, I called and ended up getting the rebate mailed to me twice.
  23. They should send the guy who has it now the next person's mailing address and a label to cut down on some time and cost for them. The DB barrel nut tool passaround.
  24. motion activated sprinklers could work, been thinking about doing this in the garden for rabbits.
