  1. I would suggest trying to find a used holosun 407C, likely find one for around $130 and it's a proven platform.

CCI Quiets will fire no problem, I believe they will even cycle the action. I know I have run through a couple boxes with mine no issue. I think Pro-Mag mags a 25 round magazine, but I haven't had very good luck with mine feeding very reliably. The only thing I have replace on mine is the extractor since the stock one decided to explode out of the bolt while shooting one day. My dad has that same one you have and he keeps it out on the porch for squirrel duty and it has been fine with literally zero maintenance
  3. Agreed, I have never really understood the hoarding of gold and silver for barter in that kind of situation. It will take years and years for society to become stable enough to begin trading basic needs and services for luxury items like gold/silver. I would be more concerned with making it through the first phase of collapse/stabilization, I figure if I can make it that far I likely have enough skills/supplies to be on the better end when it comes time to start building my throne out of precious metals.
  4. Unless someone gives you theirs first.
  5. Perhaps, ended up waiting for the holosun 507k to come out before moving ahead. When they come out will be going with maple leaf firearms.
  6. I have contacted them about doing this and this is something they offer. I forget what they quoted me.
  7. I am 100% pressure pad, I keep my pads in a cloud LCS mount which takes up a lot of the wires. tail switches are fine, I have just found them harder to operate on/off
  8. I think this would be good alternative to the glock mag AR platforms out there just from a cost/reliability standpoint. I also like the idea of getting one of the side folding pic braces to thrown on this thing. Would make a fun little package and a good "truck gun" type weapon especially for folks who carry a glock and have a couple of mags already.
  9. What else you got in that crystal ball of yours sir?
  10. Agreed my rugged surge on my 10.5" 556 is still plenty loud. I wouldn't want to fire it indoors unless I have to, but it is quieter than an unsurpressed 16" gun.
  11. I thought this myth had been dispelled by experts who researched the cellular structure of the disease and proved it had evolved "naturally". Not sure where I heard that or of course whether or not it's true, just another factoid.
  12. Looks good. I haven't seen any specs on the SMSc, what's the difference with that and the RMSc? Hood looks a little different.
  13. I don't think you're going to find many opinions of the PRO being a bad choice. People will say there are cheaper alternatives and you get more "bang for your buck" with other options, but nobody will doubt that the PRO is one of the most reliable red dot options available.
  14. A g19 "clone" for $349 with suppressor sights, threaded barrel, and optic cuts would be a pretty tough option to dismiss. I will wait and see what kind of reliability these things have but I know their ARs and AKs have been doing well out in the world.
  15. that means you might get it by Christmas.
  16. The CHPWS optic plate double your thread engagement and fills the void in front of the optic and the stock MOS cut. I have one on my 19 and 17 MOS and have been very please with them. http://www.chpws.com/product/holosun-glock-mos-adapter-plate-v3
  17. The Holosun circle dot optics i believe are the only ones that offer green reticles, they also give the ability for a dot only if that's what you're looking for.
  18. https://chiseledface.com/products/aftershave-splash-midnight-stag smells like old leather, hoppes #9, and gasoline. It's one of my faves.
  19. If I was running church security I would be very concerned with ease of access. "Non Traditional" holster setups like these shirts seem to be slow and cumbersome on the draw. If comfort is your concern it doesn't get better than OWB with a jacket
  20. I used one in a buddies shockwave. We ran ~100 of the mini shells through it without a hiccup.
  21. why not go with a G19 MOS? Cheap mags Runs any ammo Reliable Optics ready aftermarket support
  22. RMR is the name of the trijicon pistol sized red dot, the nomenclature gets a little fuzzy as RMR is used frequently for any pistol sized red dot. The hole patterns and footprints are standard-ish with a lot of dot manufacturers using the trijicon RMR footprint as their pattern. Some firearm manufacturers are going the plate route and offering plates that the user switches to accept multiple dot configurations. I know vortex, leupold, and trijicon are probably the most common footprints out there for full size pistols.
  23. Sadly I wouldn't be surprised if he would do better with no scope under 50 yds than I would with a red dot.
  24. Sad, you would think Cleckner would have some sort of sighting system on the FDE AR.
  25. Is that Ryan cleckner?
