  1. Like Mike, I enjoy all the seasons and always look forward to the changes. This year, I'm especially looking forward to the cooler temps.
  2. Definitely a repost, but that's OK. It's still amusing.
  3. Loved the show but had no idea there were so many types of guns used in it. I too constantly see inconsistencies in TV when dealing with guns. It's almost entertaining in itself.
  4. Unfortunately. This is exactly why the liberals like the whole "get out the vote" campaign on MTV and don't want picture Id's to be required to vote.
  5. Be careful, the next thread might be Who killed TGO?
  6. You mean we didn't always talk about whores and hijackers?
  7. What's amazing is that the female commentator, Megan O'Rourke said "Troopers are now investigating to see what role, if any, speed played in the crash"
  8. You're toast now my friend
  9. Yes, I have this exact one, no complaints. As Leroy said, YHM is good stuff.
  10. We definately need a Mt Juliet TGO meet and drink...
  11. +1, seems like 80 mph is the new norm
  12. I stopped by the Gun Room today just to check it out. Did not shoot but really looked the place over. Unloaded my gun as I entered. Spoke with Stan and his brother and they are both very nice guys, I wish them the best. They have invested quite a bit of money in this to be primarily a range with a few guns for sale in extremely nice custom cases. Yes, the whole "unload your guns before entering" thing is a bit annoying for me, but it is what it is. I respect and understand Coop and the others that will not patron this place because of it, but I also see the problem the owners are faced with. I have never really thought about it before however Guns & Leather (has a range) seems to get around it just fine. Stan (the owner) told me it was for insurance reasons. We talked briefly about it and I'll bet in time, they will change their stance on this issue once they get "settled in". The range was well lit and set up nicely, did appear to be warm but aren't they all? The $20 range fee is a little steep but hey, I probably spend close to that driving to Greenbrier when I want to go to an indoor range. (G&L is still my favorite gun shop and will see me again and again). Overall, I like the place and appreciate the investment these guys have made as well as their overall friendliness and attitudes. I will give them a try.
  13. Sounds like a good trade to me as well.
  14. Glad you ar OK, you got lucky. I guess we have a new TGO term, M&P Butt..... Nice stippleing btw.
  15. Though I am not an attorney (nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night) I will offer my opinion. I say it is legal to carry on Navigable waterways in the US, including locking through and as Fallguy points out, they are essentially public roadways. I do know of a recent incident where a fellow sailor was boarded (with captains permission) for a safety inspection where the Coast Guardsman asked if "there were any guns on board". The answer was no but he asked "what if I did, is it illegal?". The answer was No, it is not illegal but they wanted to know before proceeding with the safety inspection. One can refuse the safety inspection and the the type of boat you are on may determine whether or not you must have a HCP. For example, a walk through runabout or fishing boat would be similar to a car (need HCP in my opinion) whereas a houseboat or sailboat/cruiser with cabin could be considered your home (no HCP needed). There are several law enforcement entities on the waterways including TWRA and Local Sheriffs and Police Departments so you never know who'll you'll have to answer to. I know several fisherman who fish late into the night and early in the morning and they never go unarmed. There was some debate about going armed while launching their boats however they all agree, that is a risk they'll take.
  16. I've had the same problem out of the Remington's. The even feel dirty. Bought the Federals last week and so far I've had no problems with the first 50 rounds. Brass is cleaner & brighter.
  17. I was a long time Verizon Customer up until three years ago. They suck! Switched when we moved because we could not get service at our new house. Phones worked fine at the end of the street however our culdesac was a blind spot. Discovered AT&T worked at the house right before the iphone first came out. Daughter saved up her money and waited in line for hours to get one of 20 the Providence AT&T store had. Absolutely fell in love with the iphone and had to have one. We are now a family with three of them. My main complaint, AT&T. They also suck! But to be fair, so does T-mobile & Sprint. Everyone I know gets dropped calls no matter who they have. I must say one thing about AT&T, their customer service has been superb thus far which has totally surprised me.

    Glock Vs 1911

    So it's $290, + 7% GA tax, +$25 transfer & $10 TCIS? Still pretty darn good.
  22. Thanks for the report:up:. I too have read some of the not so positive reviews on the Gen 4's however had the opportunity to shoot a G19 gen4 weekend before last. It also shot great for me and was not noticeably different (other than the trigger) than my broken in Gen 3 G19. The owner did did have one fte half way through a 32 round magazine while shooting "rapid" fire. Neither of us were able to repeat the fte and we shot another 100+ rounds after. I'm convinced the mishap was due to loss of grip/limp wristing as it occurred 20+ rounds into the magazine dump.
  23. Though I have not made up my mind yet, I too like this about Ramsey.
