Excellent point. My advice would be to go to a gun store, try some on for size, buy the most you can afford and go shooting. You will buy another -
Best entry-point shotgun to try out Skeet Shooting

I agree 100%. A semi-auto is the way to go, especially for a beginner. I can't imagine my first time dealing with multiples to have to think about racking after the first shot. -
Very nice, I'm sure you wish you still had them sometimes. Let me ask ask a question that will surely show my ignorance on this subject. What do you mean by "Lettered to"?

Simple question, anyone ever publish the drivers license database?

Should hunters switch to 'green' bullets?

I feel the same way. This is not a new concept however. Look at waterfoul hunting, for years now lead shot has been outlawed. -
A very wise man.

Another Misleading Biased Editorial by Chattanooga Times

Typical anti-gun, Brady Cool aid drinking B.S. How can these reporters just spout off lies and misinformation and not be called on it? I as well thought the comments below the article were rather well stated. -

Been on the list for a while. Picked it up from Guns & Leather Friday. My G34 Says Smyrna Ga here and notice the Proof Stamps. Is this unusual for a Glock? With my G34

Long story but relevant so bear with me. Several years ago before I moved we had some neighbors who decided to rent their house out since they couldn't sell it after being transferred. Nice girl moved in, a Nurse at a local Hospital. Then her scumbag boyfriend, a registered sex offender moved in with his dog. The nice old retired neighbors next door went over to introduce themselves and ask that they try to keep the dog quite as it barked 16 of 24 hours a day. Pervert didn't like it and told the old guy to "go and f**k himself". He then made it his mission in life to torment and harass the nice old neighbors. I mean just being a total jerk, revving engine, putting the barking dog out at all hours of the night, scaring the wife with glaring looks and jumping at her etc. That's when we found out about Perverts conviction. Anyway, the old guy bought one of those high pitched devices to stop the dog from barking and it worked great.... for two days until it was stolen off of a 8' tall 4x4 post right next to scumbags fence. Old guy had had it and quite frankly My neighbor and I were concerned what he might do as he was at his wits end. We had both spoken with our chief of police when we found out he was a Sex Offender and he said just keep an eye on him and let them know if we ever saw anything out of line but there was nothing he could do. Well, the guy came home drunk (stumbling out of the car) the very next night after the barking device theft and his girlfriend was waiting for him. She was pissed that he drove up drunk and they started screaming at each other. It was a warm summer evening and my neighbor and I were hanging around outside enjoying adult beverages and saw him pull up and heard the screaming as their house was only 100 yards or so away. We both looked at each other and said "Sounds like a domestic dispute" and promptly called the PD. Turns out the old guy called as well. The Police showed up 10 minutes later but the "dispute" had already stopped. The responding officer informed them that a call had been made and wanted to take a look around inside the house and be sure everything was alright. They agreed. He left and both my buddy and I were disappointed that the scumbag wasn't hauled off. Then, the very next day, two patrol cars show up rather abruptly around 5:30 pm, 4 officers total jump out of the two cars and go to the door. Next thing I see is scumbag being hauled out of the house in cuffs. Yippee! When the Chief read the report from the night before, he noticed one sentence in the report that stood out: "A .357 revolver was seen hanging on the bed post." Mr. scumbag was a felon. Bye Bye pervert:wave:

I'm with others here, Something is awry. Do you know the person you sold it to very well?
-
How long did it take to find that out?
-
I swear I knew that, just could't find it in writing anywhere on the actual form. Am I blind?
-
Ok, I'm an idiot. Sent off my ATF Form (5310.16) and got it back with a letter stating that it needed to fill out the blank for Total Application Fees. I left the rest of my paperwork at the office,. How much is the Total Application Fees?

RoDan, the key is "when changing mags". Surely you'd already have a round chambered while carrying and most likely wouldn't have the neeed to change mags during a fire fight.
-
Nice, very nice. I've been eyeing these since they came out. If you don't mind, let me know how much they are going for. You know, MSRP is always exaggerated. Congratulation on your new pistol!

I hadn't seen it, thanks. What is with all the hammer block issues lately? First two Rugers and now a Walther.......

I don't see that as a massive Loophole. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but can't any LEO disarm you/request you disarm while they are in your presence in an "official capacity". Seams reasonable to me,after all, they need to be sure you aren't going to shoot them in the back as soon as they turn around.....

HB 0254 - Fingerprint cards a thing of the past?
DavidD replied to Smith's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Can you give us a hint..... On another note, any bills to specifically allow LEO's to carry while eating lunch in a restaurant that serves alcohol??? I ask because a saw two partaking in a meal at Macaroni Grill the other day. I was behing them both (two cruisers) when pulling in to Opry Mills, had lunch, they finished just about the time I did and pulled out as I was. One went North on Briley Pkway, one went South. Didn't appear that they were on any "official" business....... -
Found Some last week at Bass Pro Shop. Bought 4 boxes since I had been looking for it for several weeks.

Now that's good advice , especially about the Semi-auto and most especially about the size of gun that fits.
