Trayvon Martin Day declared at D.C. elementary school

I'm not buying the whole "highlight racial injustice" argument either, not with this case anyway. Sounds like Malcolm X Elementary is desperate to find a hero if you ask me. -

St. Patrick's Day kicks off State-Wide DUI Checkpoints for the season,

I think it's more about reminding people that there will be consequences. I too don't have a problem with it, just wish they wouldn't advertise the locations in advance. -

Funny spoof... -
You might also think about siging up to a HCP class offered by the Mt. Juliet Police Department. I went through it twice, once for myself to get my HCP and yeasr later with my mother so she could get hers. The class is only $25 for Mt Juliet residence, $50 for Wilson County Residence, and $75 for all other TN Residence if I remeber correctly and was very "lady friendly."

Must have been one tall curb......

I have to agree, the Rugers shoot really good. I'd still go for the Sig, but that's just because I'm a gun snob now......

Very nice! Not that I would ever try to make one, but would love to see a video of how you make something like this. -
As much as I hate to say it, Wal Mart...

Right on bkelm. IMO, that is one of the things wrong with many people today, the don't think that running their mouth will get it "popped" as you say. Makes one think twice knowing it is possible.

I use both. CLP for some parts, Mill-Comm TW-25B Grease for the slide. Really like the TW-25B as it is non staining, never gets to thick (in cold) or thin (on hot slide), good stuff.

I'm using IE 9. I've tried reinstalling ieSpell and that doesn't seem to help. Must be a conflict with IE9 ....... Update: after reinstalling one more time and re-booting, it seems to be working again. Thanks Guys and happy New Year!

Having problems with Spell Check, Keep seeing a message in the lower left corner that says "Javascriptvoid('Spell Check'). Any Suggestions?

Sounds like she deserves it for her hard work and having her head in the right place. Nice to hear when the good ones get rewarded. I'm in the same boat, a good reason to like guns..... Happy New Year!

Dear ASSU, I say ASSU you because in making such wild ASSUmptions, you have truly made an A$$ of yourself. You obviously either have some aversion to firearms/shooting, have an inconsiderate neighbor,or are truly just a Troll. For that, I am truly sorry. This does not excuse your blatant attack on me here however, but does affirm your small-mindedness. You start and end by calling me inconsiderate after reading this one instance where one particular neighbor called the sheriff’s office. How do you know this isn’t some nosy neighbor that calls the police on every little thing that happens in the neighborhood? For all you know, this person calls the cops every 4th of July as well. Anyway, your assumptions are incorrect as the only time I have ever had the sheriff called was this one instance. I try to be very considerate- never shoot early in the morning, or on holidays like 4th of July where families might be intheir yards, etc. I try to regulate the time I shoot, limiting myself to an hour or so at a time. I Also intentionally try not to shoot two weekends in a row. No, I consider myself very considerate, unlike you with your inconsiderate wild accusations. Yes, there may be some neighbors that do not like me shooting at all in my woods, but hey, I may not like them letting their dogs run wild, or not mowing their yards as they should, or letting their teenagers roam the streets all hours of the night, or riding their dirtbikes and four wheelers all over the place but hey, they are my neighbors and I try to do all I can to tolerate them and be neighborly. Your next eruption of presumptions pertain to safety, something you undoubtedly know very little about, evident by your reference that only shooting ranges are safe. You know nothing about the area in which I shoot, and further more insinuate that I “Fire into dirt banks within twohundred yards of any potential humans straying within that radius...†Why wouldyou make such an outlandish accusation? The incline I spoke of is a rather large natural hill ascending into MY woods, where I can plainly see their aren’t any humans “straying aroundâ€. The only mention I made regarding vicinity was where we parked my friends truck that day. Once again, you made a real A$$ of yourselfthere calling me reckless. We do agree on one point though, Society usually raises its voice in objection to freedoms when those freedoms impose themselves upon a citizen's own freedom....". I’ll bet the difference between you and me though is that I sincerely try to be tolerant rather than arrogant and inconsiderate, traits of which you have demonstrated here on our Peace Loving forum. Good Riddance Troll! DavidD

I Have had one for a little over a year now and love it. Didnt like the limited capacaity (6+1) so put I on a Pierce +1, mag/grip extension. Love it! I also had a G30 and although very similar in size, there was something about the 36 I liked better plus, the G30 wasnt much different in size than the M&P .45 midsize I had been carrying for a couple years so I traded it. Now I alternate between the M&P and the G36, but must admit the G36 is more comforatble. I Have put a few hundred rounds of WWB through it, as well as a few Golden Sabre and Hornady Critical Defense, all with 0 problems.

Although I do not have an FN, I have fired a few rounds through one and it was alright, nothing unusual or unique but in my opinion, it has a little better “fit and finish” than the PT845. As for the Taurus, I did buy a PT845 on an impulse buy right after they first came out a couple of years ago. The trigger reset was the real selling point that hooked me, it is freekin’ awesome; the shortest of all the pistols I own. Plus, I really liked the way it felt in my hands. The high capacity magazine was also a real plus. One thing I cannot stand is the looks of the front sight: it seams like it sticks up an inch, and I’m not super accurate with it. Accurate enough to defend myself, but no single hole puncher for sure. I have had 0 reliability issues and have maybe 500 rounds through it. I am not a huge fan of the Taurus Brand in general and have had a problem with their SLOW customer service, but have been a Taurus Owner since the early ‘90’s (PT92 AF). I would say that I am happy with both of the ones I own now, for what I’ve got in them and what I use them for. I’d say go with the one that feels the best.

Bummer. Although I have since added Trijicon Night Sights, when I bought my M&P 45 it had the factory sights and I do not recall it shooting low. Does S&W have shorter sights available?

Dude, it looks dead to me
