  1. Know the feeling, I have dozen of high dollar paper weights from old motors. I'm a NHRA, drag race, musclecar guy but can appreciate anything w/ HP 500 HP at the wheels is getting to the point where you really need to be a good driver. Get the feel of the car in all kind of situations before you go nuts. I have see a lot of cars crashed over the years as a result of too much HP and not enoufh driver. Enjoy!
  2. Or, carry a shotgun in your trunk!
  3. Welcome. I've spent a lot of money on your turnpike in the past!

    Bersa 45

I have the Thunder Pro .45 in Nickel. It's been good, never had a problem with it. Also appears to be very well made. Looks just like my Beretta on the inside.
  5. Agreed. I see that every day. I guess I like to think of myself as an American first. I think we have bigger issues as a country regarding our borders than what state people are from. Not picking on you but the North/South thing gets kind of old in my book.
  6. Don't paint all with such a broad brush. I'm one of those that moved from up North to get away from snow, high taxes and a host of other issues. Those kind of people that attempt to change things also live here and were raised here. Without getting political, it's more of a mindset. I met a bunch of them when looking at homes around here. I mind my own business and expect others to do the same. This is not in reference to your comments, rather people like you mentioned above.
  7. Have been there many, many times and in fact last Sat as well. Yes, the lack of range rules is a concern. Makes me nervous as hell when I walk down to change targets. I usually go when they first open so I am the only one there.
  8. What range?
  9. It's a nice weekend. Sit outside and have a beer w/ a large gun!
  10. How many times total did this happen?
  11. I know they are made to shoot with but I shoot without. I have made adjustments on my other two on front sight to compensate. Besides, I hate the way ot looks w/ the Bayo on!
  12. Pro Street Tempest will be there!
  13. Yes, that's what my post #4 above was about. It's fantastic.
  14. I knew a guy that used to put a giant bong in a guitar case (this was 27 years ago) but that's another story.
  15. You need to elaborate on that a bit next time we go shooting!
  16. Did not mean totally dark. I have some indoor lights on timers and all lights outside are dusk - dawn sensors.
  17. Similar thing happened to me 7-8 years ago. Long story but it got ugly and we both paid a visit to the police dept. No charges filed, all good. Turned out he was an investigator for an insurance company taking pics and spying on a doctor that lived behind me. Could have saved us both grief if he would have just told us that up front.
  18. Why I never leave lights on when we are on vacation. Nothing says "we are not home" like lights on all night long for 7 days. My house is always dark.
  19. Found the first one stuck in the ammo can I thought I lost! Hopefully I wont have to adjust it any time soon.
  20. First range report w/ this sight. I shot today at 25, 50 and 100 with the new sight. With the old Mosin sights, you are pretty much guessing where to shoot. And that is after adding the electrical heat shrink to lengthen the front sight and move it over etc. Or modify the rear one as well. Once set at 25 with this sight, all I had to do was one or two slight adjustments at 100 and it was good. This is well worth the money! Best part, most people will not even notice it's modified until you point it out to them.
  21. 1971 Dodge Dart.
  22. Exact analogy I told my wife last year: I was investing 15% of my income to the company 401K. My company did a 50% match. The market had turned (well my investments) and I was losing every month. We have the ability to go on-line and change invesment % as we wish. I changed it to 0% for a period of time and she got made and said, "but they match 50%". My reply was, "so if I throw a $20 bill in the garbage and they throw in a $10, you are OK with that?" The balance went into savings instead. Also invested in land, brass and lead! When I see a lomg term upward trend, I will invest again, unless of course we have a SHTF situation. I lost bad after 911 and don't want to be in that situation again.
  23. I feared this and took some of my 401K and bought land.

    Im Drunk

To go back in time on this thread. You can still buy Old Style at Fruigals downtown Nashville. Just wish they had the old "grenades". High Life never changed in my opinion. Last I heard, Schlitz label is coming back (owned by Pabst) brewed by Miller. I spent 37 years in Milwaukee. Beer is not only a food group there, it's a primary one.
