  2. I'm a "bit" of a gear head.
  3. Never thought I would see that day in the peoples republic of WI.
  4. I bet you lost the trigger pin when you pulled it apart. If it's missing, it will flop around.
  5. And morning would be good.
  6. Ditto. My brother in-law shot my M-44 so much last X-mas I had a bad tooth ache on the right side. Still love the rifle!
  7. I'm on the road 4 days a week and see them all the time. Mostly lower middle TN and into AL. In Decatur, they are everywhere.
  8. Did it about 20 years ago just for fun. 455 4 spd Trans Am. Lot's of torque and not enough tire. Spent most of the time steering with the throttle. Still had fun, however.
  9. Zip lock bag in a 50 cal can.
  10. Just shot rifle for the 1st time at Vandalia inside back in Dec. That was cool!
  11. I traveled into Canada about 10 years ago to buy an engine with quite a bit of cash on me. It did occur to me crossing the border how I would explain carrying cash into Canada. Actually that was the least of my worries as coming back into the US with a "non-emission engine" (even though a race motor) created even more questions. I digress............. I think if you carry less than 10K, there should be no questions. That's the limit the bank has to report.
  12. Greetings. Ever go to the outdoor Xenia range? My in-laws live in Englewood and we go there often when I'm in town.
  13. Coming from the East on 40 and going North on 65, that's the best way. You will be surprised how little traffic there is on the Briley (155).
  14. It's still there. I just had him look at a gun for me last week. I think the just the website is down.
  15. On 2 different occassions I had Winchester .223 squib in the barrel of an AR-15. Both times I heard the difference and stopped shooting. Could have been bad. That being said, I would still rather trust the quality control at Winchester, Remington, PMC etc.
  16. Yes. Then all you need is the birth cert, DL, HCP and pay the tax.
  17. Yes and I would go in person and pick your own.
  18. Early! I typically get there at 9:00.
  19. Please don't use gas to remove the finish! Flash point is way to low and that's how bad things start!
  20. I've had great luck with Acetone and a rag on the stock (over and over) until clean. Once you are certain it's all removed, lightly sand with 200. Wipe w/ Isopropyl Alcohol and I finished in stain polyurethane. Before I put back together I used a Birchwood blue kit and re-did parts of the barrel. I re-did the two on the right.

    Mosin?

Did not know that. Glad I got one when I did. Then might as well get a Mojo rear sight.

    Mosin?

Yes there is a tool. Looks like an SKS front sight tool made by a guy called "Stand Ward": Collecting and Shooting the Surplus Military Rifle: Adjusting the Mosin Rifle Front Sights
