  1. Moved here 7 years ago and wish I did more like 20.
  2. Sucks to be him. Ditto on opening the door???
  3. Thank you. For some reason, the video links are broken. Here are some working links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVrjwBoepr0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAeqs3jOeHQ
  4. That's a Boyds stock. Here is my build up on this rifle: https://home.comcast.net/~ericdouthitt/mosin_project.htm
  5. Yes. Here is mine w/ the Rock Solid.
  6. Ditto on that.
  7. A large kids plastic baseball bat works awesome. My son stands on the deck and practices hitting. Smacked one this weekend so hard it sounded like he hit a ball. We looked at it afterwards and it knocked the head off.
  8. K31. Hands down my most accurate milsurp rifle. I have many Mosins and a few Garands and cannot say I've hit a paper plate at 300 yards w/ them but have with my K31. They are VERY accurate.
  9. 90% of Mosin ammo is steel case.
  10. Ditto on Priv. I shoot that with a Schuster plug in one and M2 ball in the other.
  11. Actually saw him get mad a few weeks ago (with good reason). He called CLEAR, everyone went to change targets on the rifle range and they kept shooting in the pit, after he called CLEAR again. He walked over there very fast and it got quiet.
  12. Lately, he's on the range all the time. They have 2-3 range officers now and one in the pistol pit on weekends.

    Justified

I knew how disturbed he was, just didn't need to see the bare ass thing. Maybe you guys like gay butts more tan I do!
  14. No offense to any member but I would not pay that amount for that distance range. I know a few members and funny part, the ones I know rarely go, yet it's booked. There was a thread on "The High Road" where someone in middle TN is considering a land purchase and creating a long distance range (up to 1,000 yards) with an annual membership situation. That is what is needed in middle TN. A 500-1,000 yard range. Depending how far you are from Stones River, there may be other choices.

Good episode. Could have gone without the twisted gay ending, however.............
  16. It's more fun to go pick one out!
  17. Link does not work, or at least right at the moment.
  18. Traditional gets my vote. Both my kids started on a pellet gun when they were very young with a standard scope. My oldest (13 as well) now enjoys mil dot shooting and trying to shoot further every few months.
  19. I have the Redneck Jazz CD. Somewhere............I have some old Danny Gatton vinyl.
  20. Is the 400Y range open to the public?
  21. I've been playing 36 years and have seen a lot of guitar players. Hands down the best player (most versatile, R&B, Jazz, Blues, Country etc.) I have ever seen live was Danny Gatton. Too bad he blew his brains out w/ a shotgun................ The editor of guitar player magazine once said, if he was stranded on a desert island and only able to keep one album (tells you the age of this quote) he would only need one, Danny Gatton. He eventually played with everyone and was completely self taught, yet considered probably one of the best that ever played. I love this vid because it was way before he made it big. Have to add for mind blowing electric guitar, nothing beats Eric Johnson's 1st appearance on Austin City Limits back in the 80's. Wow he looks young here!
  22. Ditto on that.
  23. Ditto. And if you only have time for just a few, with a good teacher or mentor, you will remember the details and be able to teach yourself for years to come.
  24. Not only when you "say you're nuts" or want to "off yourself", just then mention of "life is not important anymore" will make this happen per my previous post. I was in the ER for 2-3 hours with a family member and watched this unfold.
