A few more facts... All the RSO's are volunteers, and get no compensation for the hours they work All the RSO's are shooters. Stone's River is the busiest range in the state, and gets lots of newbies, doing lots of stupid stuff. It is the best facility I've been to in the state I'm on my third annual membership there. If it was a private business, they could pay a staff, and maybe even open the 50 yard range. I almost always go on Fridays, and have had quite a bit of time to talk to some of the RSO's. That place gets insane on Saturdays and Sundays because of the large volume of shooters. With all that insanity, they manage to keep the place pretty safe.
Would have to disagree there. Montgomery shooting complex is a hands down better facility than Stone's River.

That was Terry Walden's range in Manchester. When we were shooting 1/2 lbs he did not blink an eye. He came over and looked after the 1lb target!

Took the in-laws to the range for some fun. Here were two of the better targets. Thanksgiving is actually by far my favorite holiday. Getting together and eating, having fun etc. without the schedule of opening presents here and there. I'm sure my kids would disagree!

Wow, I feel sorry for some of you. Once my neighbor asked me to come over and take care of his pool, drink beer and use his pool while he was on vacation. It was a real PITA but someone had to do it!

Well...................it's OK for liberals but not for you.

1/8 Mile Track rental for 11-18-2012 looking for a few cars
Tempest455 replied to JohnC's topic in General Chat
10-20 years ago I would have jumped on this. Track rentals are fun! Yolu get to make a lot of runs. However, spent too much money on parts and motors over the years. I'd rather other other people blow stuff up! -
With all of the talk about civil unrest and secession...

My son came home from school with a permission slip asking if he could watch "selected scenes" from the Patriot. I signed it yes and told him to go back and say we have it on DVD and tell the teacher he's seen it at least a dozen times! -
Our only hope is that politicians say lots of things they don't really mean. All we can do is Hope this is the case and we don't have any negative Changes coming our way.
However, the difference is, he has done everything he said he would do!

How many guns before you are hoarding them?

Will be hoarding more starting tomorrow! -
I heard an interesting interview a few weeks ago on the radio by what appeared a well schooled individual on the history of a democratic society back to early times. He explained how over time, people who work and produce eventually become the minority. People that expect free stuff and have the entitlement mentality, eventually overcome the workers in population and thus, the decay of society. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............

POI shift with suppressor
Tempest455 replied to atlas3025's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
With a Guardian .22 can, mine is 1 MOA up and 1 MOA right on a .22 rifle. Some say it tightens groups but did not notice that on the rifle. It most certainly tightened groups on a pistol. Lot's of good info over on the THR on the NFA section about cans. -
