you guys have me sold. I just wish i could find one used somewhere...but looks liek thats HIGHLY unlikely. Anytime I get above $500, i just automatically think "dang, i should just buy another glock" but until glock does a single stack 9 or they make their 380 available here, not gonna happen. The 238 is EXACTLY what im looking for.

hmm.. looking forward to some time with one of these....I still think the trigger on the 238 is impossible to beat for a BUG

really good info here. For me, i work in an office, and wear a suit and tie 6 days a week alomost. So, the size is the big factor here. My clothes are fairly slim and tailored so width is a factor too...which is why i passed on a PM9...I assumed it would be a bit thicker than the 238. The kel tec clones while appealing for the price, are out of the question. I want something thats enjoyable to shoot with a good trigger. As for the new agent...for some reason i thought they came in a .45ACP. im not worried in the caliber difference of a 280 and a 9mm...if i cant get the job done with 7 shots of 380, 6 shots of 9mm wont do it either.

welcome! lots of info here. Looks like we used to be neighbors...i just moved out of donelson to murfreesboro a couple months ago. Lived there for about 10 years.

this is what i needed to hear. I need a bit of convincing before a purchase hahaha. Appreciate the input smith.

Thanks hershmeister!! I havent been able to handle a 238 yet, Ive manhandled a few mustangs though. the 1911-ish build and trigger really appeal to me. so, bottom line.....worth the money?

Has anyone spent some time with one of these? Looking at picking one up as a daily carry...I need something really slim and small, but I prefer something with a little more substance than polymer. Ive heard the LCP and kel tecs arent very comfortable to shoot....not im not looking for a great range pistol, but if im going to spend more than 500, i would like it to at least be pleasant. If anyone has any experience with them, id love to hear some feedback. pros, cons, etc. or, if i should skip it and just save up for a colt new agent. Thanks!

Poor dog. **edit...so the dog was the top and kimberly the bottom?!?! good freaking grief.
-
too bad. Good to know though...I live in murfreesboro and drop into stones river on a pretty frequent basis.

my experience was the complete opposite. Ive been happy with their revolvers, but had nothing but problems with the semi auto. Seems to be a mixed experience with these. Congrats on the quick time...hoping mine will be here next week.

i had a 26 and a 19, like everyone said, with the grop extension, theres no difference between the concealability. id still pick it up though. cant go wrong with another glock.

nice! i went to the DMV in murfreesboro on Friday, same story for me...in and out in 30 min. I showed up about 330 and was out by 4. Got fingerprinted near my office monday...now im waiting as well. Its good to hear people are getting theirs in a couple weeks....Waiting sucks.

HAHA!!!!!! G17 on my nightstand, and the wife has a .38 spl on hers. -
hard to beat a colt...like they say...if it aint a pny, its a phony. I loved mine...miss it like crazy.
-
I wouldnt buy a pair of oakleys for $5. Ive been wearing Persols for years. A little expensive, but great sunglasses.
-
I keep a .38 spl in my car. usually because I dont carry to work. Or, if I have something on where CC isnt possible, or I forget to grab a pistol on the way out, or if a zombie attacks and gets the one i have on me first, etc. I guess in a nutshell, one in my car as a backup, same as a PO carries a backup on his/her ankle.

too bad. They lost my business as well. Sad to see this trend and yea, "safety of our guests" total BS.

Going to Detroit, leaving tonight...Which gun to carry?
Derek replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
if youre going to detroit...like others have said...carry both. -
Just my personal opinion....sometimes, an ******* teenager NEEDS to be smacked. I couldnt be a teacher for the simple fact that Id act on that belief.

bahahahahahaha

.357 for home defense. just point and shoot. and a G19 would be perfect too.

EXTREMELY disappointing encounter with someone with a badge

Where does the stereotype come from?
Derek replied to -boatman-'s topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
You mean permit holders arent crazy drunken rednecks?? In that case...I dont wanna be a part of it. IMHO just the radical liberals doing the best they can to push their agenda.
