  1. . I went into Lebanon Gun Shop once and I did not like being asked to unload my weapon before entering the store which is why I won't go back along with high prices much like Outpost.

um....what?! Id laugh if a gun store employee asked me to do that....laugh then leave. and never go back.

  2. I live in Murfreesboro about 10 minutes from the Outpost. Guns and Leather is over an hour from me. I do not hesitate one second to drive the distance to the fellas at G&L. some of the best group of salesmen ive dealt with. I spent so much time in there looking and asking before my first pistol purchase...they were always a pleasure. The handfull of times ive dealt with Outpost, I promise myself that ill never bother with them again, no matter how close they are.

whoever owns that place really needs to re-evaluate his/her practices.

and they also need to kiss my a....nevermind.

  3. tons of great ideas here.......I handt even thought about looking for a small end table...I dont want to spend a bunch on something temporary...when we buy our house, Ill get a proper perm set up. I think taking a trip to some thrift stores may be beneficial before i decide on a setup. Thanks again!

  4. Haha, sorry wasn't trying to be "THAT GUY". Just suggesting the thread for its good pics.

That's the first time I've seen that portable stand. Seems if you were sizing rifle brass etc, it could be top heavy.

I've seen guys use the collapsible work stands sold by dealt/craftsman etc. scissor type legs and wood slat top. Usually sold at home repair stores. Should fit your needs, but I'm not sure how sturdy that is either

strictly loading pistol right now...I think my saturday will be spent in my dads garage with some wood and tools building something haha.

  5. I would caution against storing any reloading equipment outside, even if it is in a storage area. The humidity can cause your stuff to rust pretty quickly. Now you can make sure you have everything oiled down to minimize it but their still is a chance.

    Dolomite

good advice...thanks for this...it never crossed my mind.

  6. Im getting my reloading bench setup...ive got the supplies, jsut looking for a good bench. The problem im having is size. I live in an apartment and my wife doesnt want me to devote the spare room to reloading. I have a storage room on my patio, so id like a workbench i can pick up and move from the room to the storage area. I thought about building my own, but if anyone has some suggestions, Id be happy to hear. Lets see some pics of your setup....My press is RCBS single stage if that matters/helps

    Thanks!

  7. Too bad you didn't mention the P238, most likely the best of the bunch. :)

i cant agree more. reading the OPs post, sounded like it was written by me a couple months ago. I saved up and went with a Sig 238...hands down WELL worth the extra money....i cant tell you how much better they are...the cheaper 380s are a pain to shoot, the bodyguard is ok, but still nothing in the ballpark of the Sig.

  8. Lack of grip safety and that silly bushing are a bonus to me, I wish the full size 1911s would lose those as well. Glad you found one so fast, hope it is everything you wanted and more. Next step is reloading for it, darn high priced 380... check the recoil spring, the original type does not last, mine died somewhere between 500 and 1000 rounds. New design seems to be a far better approach.

first thing i notices when i bought ammo....ITS SMALLER THAN 9MM SHOULD BE CHEAPER! haha. a box of 50 is 2x the price of 9mm. too bad. I need to meet someone local who reloads that will sell me some 380 for cheaper than 20 bucks a box but still profitable to them. Or, god forbid, i just start reloading myself hahaha

  9. another reason this place is great....got a PM yesterday, took a ride out to nashville after work, and went home with a (pretty much new) P238. I had forgotten how small it is...but still fits my fairly large hands really well. Super comfortable and of course concealment is a breeze even in a suit and tie. When i took it apart, i was surprised how different the platform is compared to a 1911...from the outside it looks essentially exactly like a small 1911 without the grip safety...functions are definitely different though. Picked up some FMJ to break it in saturday. This is my first sig....really pleased with everything....bottom line, worth every penny.
