Personly I travel a lot!!!!!!! This year I have been in St.Croix, South Louisiana, Corpus Christi, TX, Toledo, OH. All but St. Croix of course was with a 38 traveltrailer intow and armed. I can usually be pulld off the side of the road license, registration , and insurance in hand and window rolled down interior lights on before the LEO can get out of his car. With me being out of state and all it is just easier to try and get along and they usually respond better to someone who is nice as opposed to being an ass. Since I'm usually in the wrong mostly speeding at least being nice there is a chance of getting out of there with out a ticket the other way you will at least get the speeding ticket and depending he might find other stuff wrong. If you look at what you can be wrote for most people never realize getting a speeding ticket is getting off easy. Besides when you drive 19 hrs just so you go in and work a 12hr shift somewhere for 6 weeks. It sucks trying to get all the dirt off you and the interior of the truck and explaining to your buddies why your head is all skint up. It's easier to just get along most of the time.

I leaned forward in the truck seat carrying in a Crossbreed super tuck right side 4-5 o'clock and he pulled it out. He did not unload the mag just removed the mag from the gun

Ok so we have seen what cults,militias,andbeingloners will do for you (Waco,RubyRidge,andHutaree). I just can't see where joining or being involved with any of these would be benificial to your health. At a minimum the gubermant would be watching you if they did not do more. We (the guys at work) have discussed this for a while now and the best thing we can come up with is to have a network of like minded individuals that in a SHTF scenario you could contact. It used to be white, black mexican, indian, middle eastern decent against each other but now I really wonder if it would not be even worse than the war of northern agression because you really will not know who stands where. I was just curious if there were other people that see it the same way or am I getting to deep?

I have been reading a lot of news over the past few months and just recently started reading the comments people leave. It seems to me there are a lot of upset people out there. I have to admit it almost appears that some one is trying to drive a wedge through the country. I was just curious if anybody else does this and has noticed the same things that I have?

yes I agree there but he was extremly nice almost to the point of being appologetic when taking my gun. I have feeling that most everybody on here would have come away with the same positive feelings that I did.

The way I see it. 1. All the lights out in the house 2. Move to a location thats puts me between the wife, kids and BG 3.Wife calls cops 4. Wait for them (they did not come in the house just to check out one room)

8:30-9:00 pm South Mississippi on I -55 I was headed down to LA for a job and was pulled over due to no lights on my trailer (yea I know but when you've got to go you've got to go). So the MHP pulls me over I hand him all my info along with my permit. He is standing there talking for 5 min or so then starts looking at my paperwork sees my permit and he ask if I'm carrying. I say yes and tell him where at. He takes posession of my weapon and takes it to his car and comes back and we continue our discussion. Once he decided not to give me a ticket he brought my weapon back asked me not to load the Mag until I was on the road and turned me loose. The MHP contiually appolgized for releivingme of my weapon and explained why he did it. All in all I was very impressed with the way that he handled the situation and VERY APPREICIATIVE THAT HE DID NOT WITH ME A TICKET EVEN THOUGH I WAS IN THE WRONG.

She has never bailed out of the boat before daylight only to run into a pack of wild hogs. Imagine trying to climb a tree after having 4-5 hogs of unknown size grunting at you just outside of your headlight range and all you have is a bow. I considered knocking an arrow but figured I was better off using it as a club and running if it would have came to that. SOme people just do not get it. You never know what you will run into in the woods by yourself. Wild hogs, panther, bears, zombies, or crazies

Yes thats what I was thinking also that a JHP would be the way to go. I was interested in what brand would be recommended on this site ie; one of the cartridges loaded with a barnes solid copper hollow point (Not sure about this one I like barnes but solid copper even though hollow point still should have a lot of penetration power), Corbon, Fed Hydra-shock, Rem. Golden Saber, or Gold Dot. I guess what I'm asking is which one of the above cartridges would have the least amount of penetration.

Ok so I was McDonalds outside of New Orleans (Heck of a place to be thinking thoughts along those lines) last night and got to thinking about hollow points. I normally shoot FMJ's through my carry pistol mainly because they are cheep and easier to find but I'm concerned about the residual effects of this round. You know you shoot the assailant and the bullet keeps traveling hopefully into an inanimate object. What are the opinions of the guys on here about hollow points. Like in Hunting the ideal situation would be for the round to stop under the outer layer of skin. With a 45 I do not see this happening. I would like to hear the comments from the guys and gals on here as to what there experiences are with hollow points and which one would be recommended for limited secondary damage. I have a 3 small children and a wife in my house. So shooting through walls spooks the hell out of me.

I'm originally from LA 1st thing you have to realize is that LA LEO and state Gov. live by there own rules made up by them a lot of the time on the spot. They encountered National Guard troops that seach there vehicle and they were questioned about the Mini-14 and 870 pump shotgun. The Troop asked him if he new how to use them and passed him through. After watching the videos I can promise you the out come of the LEO roughing my Grandmother up would not have been pretty.
