Textiles Surplus Clothing for sale by auction I'm not sure where to put this but I thought it was interesting. I would like to get my hands on a GP-small tent but I have no use for 4-5 of them. Some of the other stuff here is interesting too. Maybe a couple of us could go in on some of it. If you see something interesting shoot me an e-mail and we will talk. inspecting1@yahoo.com .

I'm curious as to how the officer determined that the casings indicated that it came from an assult rifle? The only thing I can think of that would indicate an assulat rifle of something similar by looking at the casings would possibly be links that connect some type of belt fed weapon. Ok possibly an AK I don't think I have ever handled anything that shot AK ammo that was in a bolt gun but if the casings were any other caliber it could have been anything.

Well I guess I was one of those privaleged few who grew up shooting 1911's and S&W revolvers. My Dad had a full size Gov. Colt that had a 22 conversion kit for I carried it all the time and that was all I ever dreamed of. If it was not a 1911 it was not a pistol and I had the oportunites growing up to shoot a lot of different pistols. His Gov. Model resides in my gun safe along with my Combat Commander waiting for my boys to get big enough to shoot them. My girl at 3 yrs old was already on the bank of Panther lake in LA slinging 22's out of it. It's the gun that all others want to be when they grow up.

My bag is like I said a coming home bag and I will probably have to cover a large area of the country. If something happened right now I would be 12-1300 miles from home. I'm in Sinclair Wyoming and getting home would be top priority. I would either have to move through some fairly large cities or go around. Either way I do not think I would have time to evade so straight through would be the fastest way and I still would have to cross Mississipi and I don't think swimming would be at the top of my list. As far as the mileage on the truck I don't really expect to run the whole way just because of the cities and stuff. I can run about 1600 miles on the 90 gallons of fuel in the truck but swaping out for a horse or hoofing it. I plan on trying to keep the weight around what my hunting pack ways at least within 20lbs or so. I figure if I can make it home I will resupply assess the situation around my home. then possibly load up the Z and head back out west to a buddy of mines place in Montana. If it get that bad.

I'm currently seting 2 bug out bags up one is for the wife and kids. The other is for me I spend more time in the middle of the black top or 1000 miles from home so I got to thinking that I will need to get home before I can plan anything else. My bag 1 GI issue sleeping bag 1 pen light 6 field stripped MRES 100 45 acp rounds 3 45 acp mags 1 Rock Island compact tacticle 45 200 + rounds of .223 7 30 rd mags 2 20 rd mags 1 2 liter camel back Salt and Pepper (wild game with no seasoning sucks) Stuff I still need Water purification system 1 good fixed blade knife 1 extra folding knife 1-2 extra canteens ?? I have not made it home lately so when I get there I'm sure I'll be adding stuff that I have collected over the years. maybe a machete or a tomahawk. I'm thinking that a pistol gripped 870 or a mossberg with an 18.5" barrel. My concern with the shotgun is weight. Wifes bag 6 field stripped MRES to be added 300 + rounds 9mm Tarus 9mm millinieum Hi-point 9mm carbine (to be replaced with an AR sooner or later) camel back canteens knives water filtration system I'm still not sure how to handle the sleeping bags with the kids. 5-3-7mo I dont know what they can carry. Also my truck has an extra 60 gal of fuel in a drag up tank and since I work in the Oil and gas industry I figure if I need diesel. I'll get some diesel

They do have valves installed in the line so that they can shut the line down if something like this happens, but when the rig sank it damaged the line below the vavle. That is why they could not shut the line down. It is one of those things that does not happen. As they say hind sight is 20/20 there are numerous things that could have been put in place to stop something like this from happening but it was not so what are you going to do. I hate to say this but maybe this will generate some more work for my line of work.

Just curious I have to admit it spooks me just for the fact that if the big G ever decided to come take them that good ole boy you just bought it from would have your name and all. This is the first time I have ever heard of on here and I have to admit when I read it I thought Cali or Jersey.

OK so I'm reletivley new to TN so would somebody explain to me why someone would won't you to sign a bill of sale to purchase a firearm from an idividual? I can understand the FFL deal with out of staters (partially anyway). Is this something that is required or is this just a tinfoil hat gig again?

Wow I had cold chills when I saw the first Higgins boat. My Grandpa made 4 of the major invasion's during WWII in the Pacific while driving one of these boats I don't have any pics of on the Higgins boat but I do have one of him and his buddies on one of the bigger boats. I alway do get chills when looking at pics with Higgins boats in the Pacific just because I know there is a chance although small he might be in one of those pics.

I have been to this show twice over the past couple years. it will take the full 2 days to walk it. You take a noteboook and note locations of stuff you are interested in so you can find it fast. Some awsome deals out there to. I saw a Gold Cup that I'm still kicking myself over (600 bucks!!!!), I bought a glock 23(?) 40 with a laser for (500 Bucks). It is awsome but it mess up all your other gunshow expereinces.
