  1. My wifes car has the navigation package (its an 08 model) so there is no room/space/storage under the passenger seat(that where they located the GPS, go figure). The drivers side under seat area is rather tight. I did a quick check last night with a book that was approx. size of the small box and it didnt fit. I guess what I really should do, is make a wooden mock up of the small and re-check it.
  2. I like the larger combo lock box. I will probably order one for my truck. However, even the small one is too large to fit under the wifes seat in her CRV. Does anyone have any leads on smaller boxes? She cannot carry at work, so it has to be left in the car.

  6. I second the M-Pro 7. Very effective and doesnt smell at all.
  7. I got my renewed HCP in the mail this afternoon, 120 days after it was submitted. I guess I can take that "novel" sized paperwork out of my wallet not. LOL
  8. Here's a K-BAR that I had engraved for a very good friends son that graduated from MC boot camp last year. The young Marine that I gave it too use to be my gun cleaning side kick. He is going to be a small arms armorer with the Corps. I reckon he will be pretty sick of small arms by the time he seperates from the Corps. LOL

  10. Joined in 85, retired in 05. And i am catching up to the older crowd.
  11. In my gun room I have 2 duel 4 ft flouresent fixtures. On the bench I have three office desk type lamps. A while back I was visiting a buddy in Texas and he had some of the new "green" bulbs that were Natural Light. They are awesome. If you have lighting issues on your bench give them a try. I found mine at Lowes. Just thought someone might benefit from that little tidbit.
  12. That is more "fitting" than my repurposing of the diaper bag.
  13. Dave, You must be old... The Mk IV was replaced by the Mk V after I joined in 85. I forgot the name of the new gas masks
  14. I stopped by Wally World this morning after I dropped my son off at preschool. I was only there for a few things, but Ifigured I would walk by the sporting goods just to see if they had any .380. There was a lady unloading ammo from a box and she asked what I was looking for. She dug around and found 1 box of .380. Remington value pack (100 rnd) 88 gr JHP for $35.97.
  15. May I also add that I wore polyester bell bottoms for 20 years(USN retired). There isnt much that upsets me anymore. LOL
  16. No problem Alpha, I didnt take it any other way. I'm glad I could give you a chuckle this morning. As far as the diaper bag goes, I dont really care one way or the other as to where it came from, it works for me. I am secure enough in my manhood for it (an many other things) not to bother me one bit.
  17. No worries. The diaper bag didnt cost me a dime and it was in the pile of stuff to get rid of. It has a lot of pockets, a fold out changing pad that doubles as a pad to place the handguns on and it is larger than the old range bag.
  18. Laugh if you will, but this is mine. Eddie Bauer Weekender Diaper Bag - Black - Baby Boom - Babies "R" Us
  19. Are the Agents available? There is a 6" T-Rex that runs amok inside our perimeter. My 3 y/o just says, "He's on a picnic" and nothing else as to the where abouts of said critter. The suspect was once on a "picnic" for several months before he was located. LOL
  20. I assume that is for me? Where I lived (Wapio part of Waipahu)was a rental single family house. Owned by a fella that also lived in Waipahu. You are correct, some lands are only leased and have been built on. Usually those leases were long term but at the end the person/people who built on it can lose the structure if the actual land owner doesnt renew the lease. Most of the long term leased land is generally along the coast or cultural spot, like where H-3 went up the Pali. It only took them what, 30 years to build that interstate? LOL
  21. Nothing here in Cleveland. It looks like we are in for more rain this afternoon, though. Ah the storm of 93. I was "freezing" in Hawaii. Hey, it can get down into the low to mid 60's there on the North side of Waipahu where I lived. LOL
  22. I just did the same thing and sure enough, no pre game stuff. The TV is now off. LOL
  23. Yes I did. Its one of the copies of the renewal form along with the receipt for payment stapled to it. It makes my wallet look like I am rolling in the dough. LOL

    Good cops?!

Dont hold back Greg! LOL In 97 I had just transferred back to San Diego from Hawaii. I sold everything in Hawaii (car, truck and motorcycle) so I was heading up to Vista to look at a rat 73 Ironhead Sportster. I pulled up to a traffic light with no one in front of me. The left turn signal turned green and the car proceeded into the left turn. A car going 50+ mph ran the light and nailed the lady hard! Her car was totaled. The guy who ran the light righted himself in the seat, looked around and took off. The left trun light was still green, so I took off after the guy. I followed him through several turns until I got his tag, car make and model, and physical description and returned to the scene. I aproached the first officer I saw and he started telling me to clear the area. I told him that I had witnessed the accident and followed the hit and run driver. He sent me to the officer in charge and I repeated the story and handed him the notes I took of the guy/vehicle. He asked if I would be willing to go identify the guy, i said yes. So they herded me to a squad car and I started jokingly protesting that I would really rather not ride in the back. Oh well, so he had the notes i had taken and he started asking me a few questions about my work (I wrote the notes on my SERE field issue custody card). He had just gotten out of the Corps and was asking me when I was an instrucor there. It seems he had been a SERE student a few years back and had gotten some "special" treatment. LOL Since there isnt any way for me to get out of the back seat he (JOKING of course) started into a SERE type interrogation. Overall it was rather funny. The LEO's were pretty cool and were appreciative of my help. I eventually got a Thank You card from the lady that got hit and a court summons. I didnt make it though, I was under military orders to be somewhere else on that day.
