Ahh, no thanks. I spent 5+ years at sea in the Navy. Try doing that on an FFG in a typhoon. Same thing, just larger scale.... I've got my land legs back and I'm keeping 'em! LOL

KNIGHT RIFLES HAS NEW OWNERSHIP. Athens, TN: On March 15, 2010, PI, Inc., acquired the Knight Rifles brand, intellectual properties and real estate in Centerville, Iowa. For the immediate future, Knight Rifles will be relocated to Athens, TN, where PI, Inc., is headquartered. Knight Rifles I hope PI can make a good go with it. I dont own a Knight but I think I might see one in the future.

Thanks Willis, I was nothing but impressed with the engraving! While I was glad to present the k-Bar to my "gun cleaner" I was bummed to the fact the "boy" most likley will not want to come over and clean my guns anymore. LOL And thats what he did from the time he was 7 or so. I taught him to field strip, clean and re-assemble 30+ firearms. Now he is a Marine Corps Small Arms Armorer, while he isnt my kid I am still damn proud.

Whats the purpose of the knife? Mine was for a Marine so a K-Bar was a no brainer. Are you getting this done for Boy Scouts? Girls Scouts? USCG? USN? USAF? USA? etc....To me the purpose would dictate the "type" of knife.

There is a jewelry store up here in Cleveland off HWY 60 that did this K-Bar for me. It was a present for a good buddys son when he graduated from boot camp. If you are interested I could dig up the contact info. If I remember right, I paid around $40.

I feel the same way about this as I do about the Volunteer Service Medal that was introduced a few years back. Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal Just a little TOO touchy feely, IMHO.

Is that a new thing? I have asked before at Home Depot and they said they did not offer the discount. Lowes always have offered it, so I tend to shop at Lowes more often plus HD customer service is rather lacking, IMHO.
