  1. Any resolution on getting your back together?
  2. I zoomed and cropped the pictures, lets see if that helps with the detail. I'll get back on later to check in with you. Right now my 4 y/o son is under foot and I need to get started on dinner.
  3. Let me play with the pictures to see if I can ge a zoom on that spring.
  4. I should also say that it is a bit of a pain to reassemble, but not impossible. I had mine aprt about two weeks ago to change my recoil buffer (the white plastic part). Just look at the schematic and the pictures and take your time. Getting the hammer spring in place with the bridge took a lot of patience on my part but I did get it back toether. LOL
  5. THis is about the best I can do with pictures. If you need the higher resolution pictures shoot me an email to my screen name at yahoo dot com with the subject line of Glenfield 60 and I will email the full size pictures.
  6. Hi and welcome to TGO. This may be a little difficult to describe online, but I am assuming you are talking about the "action" that is in pieces, right? Here is a breakdown schematic of the 60, http://www.okiegunsmithshop.com/marlin-glenfield60.jpg and you can download the manual from Marlin here, http://www.marlinfirearms.com/pdfs/manuals/MFC_Self_Load_RF_Tube.pdf . I know that isnt much help but from the way you describe it, it sounds like the action is apart. There are three "C" clips that hold the left and right sideplates together with the parts sandwiched inbetween. It is a pain to reassemble the action but with the diagram and patince you should be able to get it back toghter. Review that links and let us know how you are fairing. If need be I could take pictures of my Marlin 60 in a step by step process. It would be a great help to know where you are starting at though.
  7. I keep an Otis handgun kit on my bike for cleaning when I have been riding in the rain for way too long. Something like that may be a good deal for your situation. And as others have said, a one piece coated rod with caliber specific jags and brushes.
  8. That could be handy in the range bag for doing smal stuff at the range.
  9. Awesome! Just got to love history.
  10. I guess I have been guilty of this offense more times than I can count. We have a nice clearing/field as a front yard. We live on top of a hill, with 900 or so feet of driveway to the road. Yes I get pretty darn lazy taking the trash down, i put it on the truck and drive. I know deer bed in the "valley" in our front yard. I have been known to break out the spot light on them just to see them, as I drive on down to the road to drop off our trash cans. Who knew that was illegal on my part? Also when the yset off my driveway alarm I have shined the flash light on them for my 4 y/o son to see them. I guess I should be a bit more carefull in the future. Or better yet, got out and explain to the deer that, should they not like getting lite up, they should just go around my driveway alarm. LOL
  11. Welcome to TN, Hoss. When you do move down here could you swing by Whitmore Lake and bring my buddy Andy with ya?
  12. I was at Benton Shooters Supply this weekend and the salesman was trying rather hard to seel me on a Judge saying it was the perfect bear defense handgun. He then produce one of the newer .410 shells that has three slugs and I think some small ershot in it. I just sort of disagreed with him and he just kept pouring it on. As guyandarifle said, any hit with anything is better than a miss with some large bore magnun. i just think I would be willing to trust my life to a .410 or 45LC out in bear country. LOL
  13. Carne Asada burritos. Sorry no pic, we were hungry so we ate it.
  14. I want my 30 seconds back (yes I sat here and watched that much). LOL
  15. I'm with you there. After I retired from the Navy in 05 I DO NOT wear a watch anymore. I know its the weekend when I wake up and the wife is still in bed. LOL
  16. Up till two weeks ago it was my 300 Weatherby Mag. Then I took my 375 H&H Mag to the range. I had a nice bruise after 3 round of that one.
  17. Cool video. I have had them buzz me all the time while I was filling up the feeder. Once last year one little fella just couldnt wait till I hung it back up, as I righted the feeder after filling he flew up and started drinking while I was holding it. I guess he was thirsty. LOL

    Your opinion.

Hi Sara, Perhaps you would get a better response if you were to give a bit more of a back ground on what information you are looking for, how its going to be used, who is going to use it, etc.
  19. The more I read and hear about all the canidates the more I am liking Savas. As it stands now, he is getting my vote.
  20. Just because I cant let this thread die.

  23. Given name is Dale, but nobody outside of TN knows that. I was named Buck in the Navy back in 85 and have been called that since.
  24. I dated a girl back in the 90's in SoCal and her dad was in the Navy and served with Jessie. His opinion of him wasnt very high then, or now. Jessie is %100 correct iabout asking ANY question of the Gooberment. We have that right and I feel we are obligated to do so. However I do feel he is a bit a nut case, none the less.
