  8. I watched it and this pretty much says it all! As I understand it Autism is strange as it effects people differently but nowhere is it right or correct to use a fly swatter on a child, hit that child, kick that child or smack that child.

  12. Just add and stir in the borax powder after you have your lead hot and stir. I generally add a table spoon or so at a time. Stir and skim off the slag. And repeat until there isnt any crud stuck to the borax.
  13. I use 20 Mule Team borax to flux my casting. Also keep an eye out on your "boolits" (i might have to steal that team, I loke it LOL) when casting. If your pot isnt hot enough your molded bullet will look "wrinkled".

    Johnny Cash

I saw him in 89 at the Del Mar fairgrounds and that is still one of my favorite concerts. And I even sat through REO Speedwagon to JC. LOL
  19. I was in the shower when the first plane hit. I was on active duty stationed at HS-8 on NAS North Island (San Diego). Anyway, I had the radio going and then the music stopped. I was like WTF? How did my radio jump channels to talk radio? After I got out of the shower I checked the station (91X) and actually started to listen. The first plane had hit. By the time I was dressed and out the door for work the 2nd plane had hit and we knew it wasnt an accident. The base was locked down by the time i got there. It took me 3 hours just to get on base. After the initial scrambling around and getting a game plan I was sent home to pack my sea bag for "an extended deployment". I left for work on the 12th at 0300 so I could make it to the air terminal to catch my helo ride to the carrier at sea. Needless to say, I still almost missed my 0900 flight due to the base being locked down and everyone entering AND leaving getting searched. I spent the next two weeks at sea providing air support/suppression for the West Coast. When we pulled in our training cycle had accelerated greatly and we geared up for deployment in Nov.
  20. Wow, whj2657, you sound pretty smart for a Marine. . Your post screams common sense, which is not so common these days.
  21. I lived in San Diego for 16 years and we did have the occasional power outages dues to accidents and the like. And there for a while we would have rolling black outs. However here in Cleveland we lose power more than most 3rd would countries. The sun is shining, we lose power, it rains, we lose power, a rabbit craps in the field next door, we lose power.
  22. I do kind of, sort of know a couple of the folks that work there as well as the owner, Warren (I think is his name). I havent purchased a firearm from them, but I do stop in every so often and have purchased a few small items there. A few weeks ago I stopped in to drop off something for one of the workers (our sons were on the same t ball team) and saw a Kel Tec PMR 30. I want one, but thier price seemed a bit high so I walked away. Thats about all i know. LOL

    Fake or Real?

  24. Sad. But I have to wonder about the military aspect of it. When I was on active duty, I would try to avoid being in uniform when leaving the base. And I would never ever make a stop in uniform. Granted when I was on active duty (USN) we were not allowed to wear a working uniform off base. These days I see all sorts of people off base in uniform when ever I am near an instillation. Perhaps we should revisit OPSEC a bit more.
