  1. Our church is small and we all stay pretty well informed. I was in San Diego for a buddies retirement when I got a call that one of our members passed away. Not much I could do from that distance, but I share this to illustrate that information can be passed along as long as other members are willing to step up.
  2.   Was that a.... BURN! ;)
  3. My Navy boot camp stories are nothing like that. LOL Great Lakes in the summer of 85.
  4. I will probably get a knock on my door soon, as I had to google phosgene. LOL   edit: after google I do remember a bit about it. WW1 gas
  5. Winner! You Sir made the most sense in this whole debate. I would have clicked like 1,000 times of allowed.
  6. Just saying, https://www.yahoo.com/health/why-ramen-noodles-could-cut-your-life-short-94747327572.html   I never got the taste for the stuff. When I was young and poor I was in San Diego as an E-nothing (LOL) in the mid 80's and it was chow hall only for me. Once I made E-3 I was eating fish tacos and carne asada burritos.
  7. There was a thread on here a while back about it, let me see if I can dig it up.   This is the one I was thinking of http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/63445-bitcoin-learned-something-new-today/?hl=bitcoin
  8. Musta na!
  9. I just got the same call. Sounded Indian to me. I don't have the ability to record it but my 8 year old son was cracking up in the back ground as I went from Tagolog, Korean and some Malay on my new Indian friend. LOL
  10. Slappy describes my wife and our relationship to the "T". We don't have jealousy we have Trust and Love, in and for each other, other people and God.     I am 47 and I approve this message.
  11. Above the mantle? Cool and interesting gift. I wouldn't do anything that would cause permanent damage though.
  12. Very cool! Congrats!
  13.   The first time I read your post I actually read "I Love You, Army" and got very concerned. LOL  Bravo Zula CSM!
  14.  Good one!
  15. Sushi? Eh... I have ate sushi in CA, HI and in Japan. To me there are many, many better things to spend my money on to eat. And I am glad for that, if we all had the same tastes our world would be rather bland to say the least.
  16. Those are my famous last words....
  17. Deep concealment at its basic element. :stunned:
  18. Good fix, however it is a lot of weight to carry in ones heart. You are correct that the bad guy got what he got for doing what he did and I agree that he deserved what ever came his way.
  19. My heart goes out to the family that has to live with taking a life. But they did well and I applaud their actions.
  20. I had better get busy in the gun room and load up some more bee loads. :)
  21. 1,087 on the "What are you listening to now" thread. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/3067-what-are-you-listening-to-now/page-55?hl=music
  22. You didn't do any thread thrashing. I just popped over and read it. I guess there is some confusion, when I mentioned NAM as my highest award I was referring to Navy Achievement Medal. So I was an AD, not R or J, as when I joined in 85 the R's and J's were combined into the standard AD rating. I tried to go fixed wing for a while but I got bottle necked into helo's after my first tour. My commands were HS-14, HSL-43, HSL-37, SERE, HS-8 and HMT-303. I deployed onboard the USS Ranger CV-61 twice, USS Lake Champlain CG-57, USS Crommelin FFG-37 twice, USS John C. Stennis CVN-74 twice and the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70. So my old times are a bit earlier   later than yours, but if you want shoot me a PM here and we can connect and tell some sea tales. LOL
  23. I must have no friends and I hadn't really heard of the stuff till this thread. Hence no friends have tried to get me to try it. LOL
  24. I have never needed any assistance at night so I cant comment on response time. But I did want to chime in and comment and commend you for you actions and also a sort of humorous story.
